When my oldest daughter was very small we would watch "Little Bear's Winter Solstice Tales" every year. She loved watching the bear family decorate a large cedar tree in the forest with homemade cookies for the winter fairies. The forest animals would come eat the cookies, and then the bear family stayed up until sunrise telling stories of the return of the light. It was such a beautiful wholesome video, just like this one. Thank you for this gift

Thats what we do now with our 3 year old. His other mom is Jewish and we don't celebrate Xmas but I've always celebrated winter Solstice growing up. We've swapped out Santa for the Deer spirits, which is thanks to Little Bear.

I was brought up the traditional Christian way with Christmas and it was just so stressful!. I am just learning about Yule and this is so much more peaceful less stressful and so beautiful.. I'm starting to celebrate every year from now on. I Love the Uplifting positive energy around it. 🎄

Thank you thank you thank you for this video!!! this feels like it aligns with me so well. I grew up in an abusive Mormon household. I left and became non-denominational Christian, then an atheist, and now I am spiritually open and searching for a more meaningful life and connection to Mother Earth. I have always collected things in nature like rocks, moss the list goes on and on. I have always hated Christmas because of the stress, debt, waste and materialism and family fighting. I’m not a Christian. I have been searching my soul on how to celebrate festivities this year and this is perfect. I have already decorated my house with fallen evergreen branches, dried sunflowers, a cinnamon broomstick. I’m excited to dry some oranges, light some beeswax candles, make some art out of the Christmas bouquet that my husband got me, I’m making witches bell’s as well. 2020 has been the best and the worst year for me emotionally Worst part: I suffered a traumatic heartbreak , and when I couldn't breath , your videos helped me through. Best part : I found your channel now I truly believe that nothing is without purpose, because I never would have appreciated these calm healing videos had I not suffered that trauma and I probably wouldn't switch up my channel to a more peaceful space. I am indeed grateful for all that happened because it led me here to a journey of self healing, accepting myself and seeing the beauty in my rural life even more ☀🌿

Your videos are absolutely stunning. A piece of art! This Yule I will be planting a bulb and lighting candles. There is enough time to get some more inspiration but this video really helped. I might write a letter of what I have learnt this past year (it's september now but it feels like it's the end of the year already), and what I'm grateful for. Lately I've noticed I'm more grateful for the smaller things now. A cup of tea at the perfect temperature, sunshine warming my skin, a breeze of fresh air, a simple deep breath. :) blessed be!

Lovely. I have the peelings from all my vegetables and fruits from this year on my earth altar. Candles and orange peels decorate my water altar (sacral clearing area). My Christmas decorations are of cedar, pine, and spruce. I plan on giving them back to the forest or earth near my home. The lower chakras are my favorites for doing energy clearings and shadow work. Natural items like cedar and orange are wonderful accents, livid colors, fragrances, and powerful energy balancers. Nature is life. Life is nature.
Greetings Alwyn,being in New Zealand at the bottom of Mother Earth we are about to celebrate Winter Solstice. One of the lovely things I like to do to Celebrate and give thanks is to gather any of of the dried leaves, sticks , cones etc ...bring out my Big Cauldron into the courtyard among our Trees and have a bonfire in it.. giving thanks for all I have received and learnt over the year and the warmth of the Fire helps warm my Heart too . I may even add Cinnamon sticks as well as I adore the scent and they are so Powerful for helping send messages out into the World . If it is too wet outside I will burn them in the firebox . Another lovely idea is to put some Water on the stove and add Cinnamon sticks and other lovely spices and let them simmer and fill the house with Divine smells . Of course i will light lots of Candles to the Sun can find His way back ...many Blessings and happy Solstice to All xx Grizabella Moonbeam xx

love that I found this video and your channel.. I started celebrating a long time ago and didn't realize it, I just didn't know the date yet.. I think it's in my being. I started celebrating the winter solstice last year and I have made it a part of our lives.. I make an earthy and tasty tea from hibiscus dry flowers, orange slices, ginger slices, cinnamon sticks, sometimes pineapple peels or apples, and recently added cloves and turmeric root (I make the tea every so often as well). I sip as I light candles on a yule log cut by my husband from cedar trees repurposed. I make a brew of the tea and pour some for my ancestors, especially my mother-she showed me the way with the natural world and we honor her as well as our other ancestors. We light a fire and sit around it as we talk about the things we are grateful for.. and watch the stars during our longest night.. Thank you for sharing this with us..

We have a woods near our house that we often hike through. Someone started decorating it. People come by and put single ornaments celebrating marriage, holidays, passing of pets, any important moment is carried by the tree.

I have been drying flowers and herbs in my garden the past few years, and made potpourri, but never thought to do a grid like you showed. The intention pouches are a great idea. Rarely. The last significant snowfall, 2 or 3 inches was in January 2021, I think. Texas isn’t equipped for snow- everything stops!

Your videos are absolutely stunning. A piece of art! This Yule I will be planting a bulb and lighting candles. There is enough time to get some more inspiration but this video really helped. I might write a letter of what I have learnt this past year (it's september now but it feels like it's the end of the year already), and what I'm grateful for.
Lately I've noticed I'm more grateful for the smaller things now. A cup of tea at the perfect temperature, sunshine warming my skin, a breeze of fresh air, a simple deep breath. :) blessed be!

Lovely. I have the peelings from all my vegetables and fruits from this year on my earth altar. Candles and orange peels decorate my water altar (sacral clearing area).
My Christmas decorations are of cedar, pine, and spruce. I plan on giving them back to the forest or earth near my home.
The lower chakras are my favorites for doing energy clearings and shadow work. Natural items like cedar and orange are wonderful accents, livid colors, fragrances, and powerful energy balancers. Nature is life. Life is nature.

Greetings Alwyn,being in New Zealand at the bottom of Mother Earth we are about to celebrate Winter Solstice. One of the lovely things I like to do to Celebrate and give thanks is to gather any of of the dried leaves, sticks , cones etc ...bring out my Big Cauldron into the courtyard among our Trees and have a bonfire in it.. giving thanks for all I have received and learnt over the year and the warmth of the Fire helps warm my Heart too . I may even add Cinnamon sticks as well as I adore the scent and they are so Powerful for helping send messages out into the World . If it is too wet outside I will burn them in the firebox . Another lovely idea is to put some Water on the stove and add Cinnamon sticks and other lovely spices and let them simmer and fill the house with Divine smells . Of course i will light lots of Candles to the Sun can find His way back ...many Blessings and happy Solstice to All xx Grizabella Moonbeam xx

love that I found this video and your channel.. I started celebrating a long time ago and didn't realize it, I just didn't know the date yet.. I think it's in my being. I started celebrating the winter solstice last year and I have made it a part of our lives.. I make an earthy and tasty tea from hibiscus dry flowers, orange slices, ginger slices, cinnamon sticks, sometimes pineapple peels or apples, and recently added cloves and turmeric root (I make the tea every so often as well). I sip as I light candles on a yule log cut by my husband from cedar trees repurposed. I make a brew of the tea and pour some for my ancestors, especially my mother-she showed me the way with the natural world and we honor her as well as our other ancestors. We light a fire and sit around it as we talk about the things we are grateful for.. and watch the stars during our longest night.. Thank you for sharing this with us..

We have a woods near our house that we often hike through. Someone started decorating it. People come by and put single ornaments celebrating marriage, holidays, passing of pets, any important moment is carried by the tree.

Thank you for the ideas! I learned a lot! I dried oranges (representing the sun ☀️) and was inspired to freshen up my altars after seeing you demonstrate. I have been drying flowers and herbs in my garden the past few years, and made potpourri, but never thought to do a grid like you showed. The intention pouches are a great idea. I cut some Holly in honor of the night King.
