- Pimpichaya Kokram (Thai: พิมพิชยา ก๊กรัมย์, born June 16, 1998) is a Thai indoor volleyball player. She is a current member of the Thailand women's national volleyball team

Kiera Van Ryk (born January 6, 1999) is a Canadian volleyball player. She is part of the Canadian women's national volleyball team.[1] She participated at the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship, 2018 Women's Pan-American Volleyball Cup, and 2019 FIVB Volleyball Women's Challenger Cup
Van Ryk left university to become a professional athlete by signing with Volley Bergamo of the Italian Women's Volleyball League Serie A1 in 2019.[5] She left Volley Bergamo and returned to Canada in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[8] She then joined KS DevelopRes Rzeszów of the Tauron Liga for the 2020-21 season.[9] For the 2021-22 season, she played for Türk Hava Yolları SK of the Turkish Women's Volleyball League.

I am Thai but would like to give all credit to the Canadian coach and her team for making a great plan to win against Thailand.
I think she worked hard on scouting us and let the team play out of the normal system by not always going fast but sometimes high which is the way of playing that Thailand has major issue to handle.
And the players did a great job on following the plan I had talked about.

I don't think Kiera Van Ryk is in many top 10 hitters of the World, but she should get some votes after this Worlds. She has one of the hardest serves and spikes in the World. She should be recognized for that at least.

Thailand was defeated its because they are so much confident that its an easy win for them against Canada. As some of their players mentioned last fivb 2022 that Philippines and Canada are on the same level of volleyball. So what happen now? Why you lost to Canada? It is a lesson learn for Thailand to not under estimating your opponents next time since learning is continuous and Everytime there is a process of learning and trainings you must expect the unexpected since every team is growing.
