One, seemingly paradoxically, the bigger the black hole is the gentler the forces are outside of the event horizon. Two, the further you are from the black hole, the gentler the forces are. And three, the smaller the object is the gentler the forces are because the gravity has to be significantly stronger on one end of the object than the other to rip it apart. That's more likely for a large object like Discovery or the Breen ship than a car sized canister. Counterpoint: The structural integrity fields of the ships could (in a sci-fi way) be enough to hold the ships together if I suppose the canister didn't have one.

No up for that short "I have an idea, it might be risky" "Just do it" interaction between Rayner and Burnham? It is so short, but so good, since it a) shows how far the trust between Burnham and Rayner has come. and B) means that mister "62 % is good, we take that risk" actually at least thinks about it by now. In episode 1, they would have argued about a call like that and ended up on different points. In episoe 9, Burnham trust him to make the right move blindly.
The Pringles Can blowing up doesn't bother me. The episode title explains it. A Lagrange Point is a region of gravitational stability because competing gravitational forces cancel each other out. A real world example from today is the James Webb Space Telescope. It is located at a Lagrange Point. So, not only was it damaged from the collision, unless it was jettisoned back into the Lagrange Point, it would have been subjected to extreme gravitational forces for the first time ever. They got the science right on this one.
But not the time dilation that they should be experiencing from them being so close to a black hole. A few hours for them there would be years for everyone not near it.
Not to mention that at the edges of the event horizon there are insane amounts of radiation, super heated plasma and cuncks of matter zipping around at ludicrous speeds. The capsule without shields or deflectors would have zero protection from any of this.
Cloaking Technology has always caused distortions. I agree that they could have made the effect more subtle but it’s kinda needed for the establishing shots to work. Also the capsule was balanced at the Lagrange point between the black holes for years. It breaking apart when jettisoned, door wide-open, and not equally balanced between two black holes makes perfect sense.
my god.... those crazy bastards at Section 31 tactical RnD found a way to use the transporters to literally make "bugs bunny hammer space" for their arsenals
Burnham says the mission is time critical but she decides in the middle of the mission, to have a heart to heart with Book. if they hadn't done that, they'd have succeeded.
Breen are now canonically poly-amorous hot oil jaccuzi swingers - at least on holidays and high holy days. Along with Saru and T'rina being utterly adorable, and Tilly and Rayner being work flirts, I'm here for horniness in a crisis.
Omg Tilly was flirting with Raynor? I didn't get a moment of that thought. I got eff off kid and Tilly was like okay fine you win. It was all a set up for the chair sit. Simple comedic/dramatic framing. I skip over the lovey-dovey parts. Oh crap you might be right but that means we'll get Callum Keith Rennie on Academy. It's fine.
Doug Jones’ portrayal of Saru is absolutely the MOST Star Trek part of the series. He’s hands-down my favorite Disco character and embodies the best and deepest aspects of what good sci-fi story telling can be. As others have pointed out, his ability to emote through all the prosthetics is impressive and even the way he walks seems “other worldly.” He’s really nailed the part.
Great points made on Owosekun & Detmer’s absence. My dream scenario is that they are brought into Starfleet Academy in a way that PROPERLY builds out their character arcs.
I watched it once, I thought they were trying to sell the “Definitely Not Character Who’s Name I Didn’t Know” as “Extra In need of Extra Money” a la Gabriel Union in DS9 “Sons and Daughters” or the 3 (Fing 3, only nerds know) Zeals.
You're wrong about that 5th down. The whole point of that location it was in (the lagrange point) is that it's a place where the gravity of the two black holes cancels out, making it "safe". The capsule being anywhere else outside that specific point is vastly different than the conditions it's spent the last 800 year in.
The shuttle entering the dreadnaught through the exhaust port and almost getting melted in the process reminded me a lot of DS9 "One Little Ship" where the Rubicon is shrunk and also enters the Defiant through the plasma vent.
I know the perfect ending for the series. Pull a “Bob Newhart”. At the end, fade to white and show Williams Shatner waking up in bed saying “Damn! What the hell was that? No more chili fries before bed!”
First, I have a bit of a beef with giving a down to the destruction of the "Pringle Can". While in the Lagrange point between the 2 black holes, it was in equilibrium and in little danger. Once it was expelled from the ship, there was no indication that it was into the Lagrange point. Any unprotected object would be ripped apart by the forces of the black holes. Second, I think that Burnham will get everyone to work together, bring back Lok, get a few answers of the universe, then ultimate everyone decides that it's better if the tech is destroyed. They all end up coming back to normal space, Lok takes over as the leader of the Breen and brokers a deal with the Federation and everyone lives happily ever after.
I think rather than destroy it, Burnham pushes a new set of scientists to make a new set of clues to reset the riddle for somebody else in the future, which will suck as an ending.
The journey onto the Breen dreadnought strongly reminded me of Burnham and Prime Georgiou's ill-fated heist to the Klingon sarcophagus in "The Battle of the Binary Stars", but this time, it worked.
I'm not sure how the Breen suits magically knew what was banter between the Disco crew and what they wanted to say and translate for the Breen. I guess the microphones work on plot power. My guess is the small pringle tin blew up because instead of being at the LaGrange point avoiding gravity, as it was for centuries, it's traveling closer to one of the black holes, I can't remember them explaining what a LG point is though so it could be clearer.
The oil bath made me laugh. I needed a good laugh. I fear that the finale will be a disappointment because of Moll’s stubbornness and the Breen’s nature. Michael stands alone. I will be delighted if I’m wrong. BTW where are the Klingons? I haven’t seen a Klingon in the 32 century. If I missed it please let me know.
After they yeeted everything bad from the show by going to the future i think it's safe to say whoever had the reigns for seasons 3 through 5 was smart enough to not ever touch the Klingons again in Discovery. Ever. At all. In-universe you can probably chalk it up to them poking the wrong bear and Quo'nos lies in shambles, Klingons are like 2 steps above Kazon on a good day. Anyway, where'd you hear that? We have any leaks already?
Okay, Sean, here's your heat: I really like the "Ironman" helmet views we got of the away team, so... so there! I also liked the split screen moment when it showed three faces at once, which made it really feel like an old-fashioned 1960's heist film. But, on the other hand, I'll let this one "Down" you gave slide because your Jeffrey Combes joke literally made me laugh out loud.
Remember that what you have been calling "a Pringles can" was a SEALED cylinder of a material that can deflect all forms of sensors. However, when it is blown out of the dreadnaught's shuttle bay, it has been OPENED, so it is no longer sealed. It pays to notice details when giving your "ups and downs."
Saru is the "shape of the one between the many". A diplomat, and pragmatist who overcame existential fear to become something greater...Action Saru is about to have his moment I think.
Detmer and Owo's absence feels so conspicuous that I can't help but think they're gonna come back in at the end of episode 10, shooting surprise torpedos from the ISS Enterprise, Han Solo style.

@@Jogproof I love how every one of you jumps to the same wrong conclusion every single time anybody talks accurately (negatively) about this show. I dislike it because the writing is absolutely terrible and the acting is only marginally better. Sure is pretty to look at though!
The part with the casing is NOT a plot hole. We have no spacial awareness in this scene. The Pringles can was in a Lagrange Point, a stable orbit point, around the 2 black holes at the start, but now it was moving away from the shuttle bay thus not in a stable orbit anymore and probably now in a decaying orbit into an object with MASSIVE gravitational forces. It is similar to submarines being just above crushing depth or the scene in Babylon 5 with the white star and the shadow vessel flying into Jupiter. If you cross a certain point, depth, or height (as in decaying orbit), it is game over.
I wonder if in the finale amongst the starfleet armada thats on the way we will see a 32nd century ISS Enterprise being piloted by Owosekun and Detmer and captained by admiral Vance
Disagree with the down for ending, it was a good ending for me because first, there is a shot of Rayner speaking to his crew in what needs to be done and failure is not an option and the scene if him settling in the chair. Loved it.

Yeah, she is a pretty terrible Captain. Also, are they the only people in the whole fkn federation to constantly make these potentially universe changing decisions? A president, one captain, second in command (sometimes), maybe a ambassador from some random world and last some random dude that should be locked up with the key thrown away for trying to end the universe for SELFISH REASONS (Book). And the new "bad guy" does the EXACT SAME THING for SELFISH REASONS, and this great guy Book WANTS TO SAVE HER, wait for it.... FOR SELFISH REASONS... sigh The writers are a fkn joke. THIS IS NOT STAR TREK! Idk wtf it is, but it's def not Star Trek. Btw, isn't the Breen supposed to be like 250cm tall and incredibly strong? So strong not even Klingons stands a chance physically? Or that randomly changed in the 1000 years from when ds9 was taking place so a tiny woman can pick a fight and win? Or how tf did they get away from ARMED GUARDS in the ending when on their ship... There was ONE character I liked and cared about, and that was Saruu, and they managed to fk that up to... If this is what I get if I want "new start trek" I no longer want new star trek. I REALLY like Lower decks, Strange new worlds and even Prodigy, but THEY are ALSO getting canceled. JUST CANCEL THIS, THE SERIES IS COMPLETE TRASH!
Series starts with Battle of the Binary Stars and ends with the Battle of the Binary Black Holes - I see what they did there. I thought the shot of the Discovery flying out of the Breen shuttlebay was like their re-do of that early cgi demo with Discovery flying out of the starbase asteroid thing. The engines being up and above the secondary hull is very reminiscent of the early design.
Man, I'm getting this awful feeling like they're gonna kill Saru. I hope they don't, but they're definitely hinting that way. More broadly, this season has absolutely been discovery's best! The insights into Burnham's character, contrasted with her past angry self, was great and really showed not only how far she'd come, but also bridged the newer 'cocky' Burnham as a kind of mask for her own insecurities. Also, Saru and T'rina, as sceptical as I initially was, they've turned out so wholesome and loving in an understated way that I'm completely sold. Rayner has been a great addition to the crew. Almost like the show runners are responding to some of Discovery's detractors as the 'show where everyone discusses their feelings and cries'. He's not that way inclined and still finds a place among the crew. My only real complaint is Mol and the breen. Mol now, essentially, taking the place of the primarch in L'ak's name is weird. Additionally, we've seen so much Breen and learned some really interesting things about them, but they so often feel like faceless (cryo suits doing all the work here) goons to be easily overcome ( a bit like starfleet security tbh lol ) Also, there have been several episodes where Book had little use to the story other than some flimsy excuse to keep him around. He literally asks what he should do for some episodes lol. I'm always anxious going into a discovery final episode, but this is the most hopeful and excited I've been for this show since it started, which makes it all the more a massive shame that this is the last we will get to see of it
I really haven't been missing Saru. I think he is a great character and great actor, but I like when characters move on. When we get to see their career progression.
Lotta harsh comments tonight. Sheesh! Watched all the Trek shows (most 2x or more) & enjoyed them all. Let’s be less aggressive, people; that’s part of the future ethos of Trek.
Sorry but you’re wrong about the container. It was explained earlier in the episode that the container was put into a place between both black holes where it was in perfect equilibrium. That is why it didn’t come apart. Plus, the integrity of the container had been breached by it being opened.
In the next episode Q shows up and tells them, they do not need so much power, to make the universe a better place! Or Riker and Troi show up and say: „Computer, end program“ (Again…. 🤦🏻)
@@unconnectedbedna I really did not expect them to be able to do worse in the last season than any season before but they've really surprised me with how truly awful the writing can get. The acting got slightly better as the show went on so Burnham is not completely unwatchable anymore but the actual good actors on the show get too little screen time. It's rather unfortunate. I could not possibly have lower expectations for the series finale and yet, I'm sure they'll find a way to disappoint.
Think everyone missed a reference. The twin blackhole where a throwback and nod to the Binary Stars from the first two episodes ever of Discovery, and the launching point for the Discovery show, ship, and Klingon War. And the visuals were utterly gorgeous.
Saru's part was modular in this episode, detached from the main plot and cast. Owo and Detmer are Lost in Space, I think. Feels like they could have been fit in. Look how much time we spent on four cast members in Iron Man suits. THAT can be done anywhere, anytime. They should have had Owo and Detmer phone home in front of a cheapie background. Also -- aren't Burnham and Adira a little short for a stormtrooper?
I agree with most of your ups and downs. As for the Finale, i'm eager to see what they come up with. The only thing I can think of is the great power may not be about creation but more about cooperation and unity. Also, one thing you could say was flying the shuttle into the unshielded exhaust port is a call back to 2 Star Trek episodes: DS9 One Little Ship where the tiny runabout entered the ship through the plasma vent, and TNG's Preemptive Strike where Ro navigates the Maquis raider through the Enterprise shields cause the impulse exhaust causes a weak point in the aft shield.
I had to *facepalm* at the heart to heart between Burnham and Book while on a dangerous mission inside a Breen Dreadnought...I actually had to shut off the episode and try again later. The timing of these scenes is just aweful...
I have to assume the container ruptured due to something going on with Michael and Moll -- like, it still would have happened (disastrously) if it had stayed on the Breen ship. Or whatever. It wasn't very well relayed to the audience, either way -- there was a command to tractor it while it as it was erupting that was rather confusing (even if it makes sense since things are unfolding so fast).
I really thought as soon as the Breen started sending troops through, there's a shout out to the SG-1 episode 'Torment of Tantalus' - especially the one with the tether....
Did anyone else feel a small missed Star Wars reference/funny moment after the intelligence recap was finished, "Many Bynars died to bring us this information."
Also potential additional Cetacean Observation: piloting a small ship through thin shields caused by impulse engine exhaust also happened in another Trek penultimate episode: TNG s7e24 "Preemptive Strike". Ro Laren used her advanced tactical training to pilot a Maquis raider between the Enterprise' nacelles :D
apparently the extreme cold helps them heal injuries, so keeping it in a suit rather than having to cool down the entire ship is an energy saver. Explains why the guy went down after sustaining minor injuries in the fight... his suit vented so the Breen is now warmed up and vulnerable.
14:55. This can be explained. Shuttle exiting cloaked Dis won’t necessarily reflect on the entire shield grid but only that section as seen with the Simitar in STN. The fluctuations could have been interpreted as sensor errors due to the binary black holes and radiation.
I think I have to rewatch this one next week as a movie length finale 😊. Enjoyed it so much what a great season this has been. And great ups and downs too 🖖🏽
So when that whoopsy daisy started. The first time I was laughed. The second time I was confused. The third time I felt like the Fry not sure if meme... and now I've circled back around to laughing
It hasn't been in that location all that time, if you know the idea of a lagrange point? it is a position normally between two astral bodies where NO gravimetrical stresses or effects are felt. this is because they two bodies cancel each other out or are too weak to act upon it. in this case those two black holes are going to rip anything apart if it's in the wrong place by a metre either way. discovery survived thanks to the shielding and build of the ship this is a tin can in a machine capable of grinding cars.
Agree with everything, except it’s clearly an 800 yr old beer barrel. 100% support your message of how peace is made. Hoping the last ep whops us on the head with that in a beautiful way. Also a great wedding.
My understanding of the casing of the Progenitor tech breaking open was that it got damaged when Discovery rammed the Breen ship and pretty much wrecked or blew up a whole lotta shit in the shuttle bay.
I get what you're saying about the effects for the cloaked Discovery but from a Physics perspective being next to two black holes will easily throw things out of whack and I think we can give them this one.
The way Book was suddenly back in his big jacket just after being beamed back was distracting. Even with the whole programmable matter thing, would he really have had time to change outfits? As for next week, the portal probably leads to that white void with Cronenberg in it or it'll be Carl and the guardian has been progenitor tech hidden in plain sight all along
I really hope we finally see the Pathway Drive in the finale. They keep talking about it...and with Saru being on a shuttle that is equipped with one, I think we'll finally see it in action. Also, USS Discovery-A's nacelle maneuver was a thing of beauty!

@@jeffs6090 Star Trek magic physics. The inertial dampeners compensate for relativistic time dilation.
In addition, there are a lot of gravimetric fluctuations caused by the black holes, which would interfere with the cloaking field.
The Star Trek game Voyager Elite Force had a portable transporter buffer to explain how your character can carry so many weapons at once
Dang, went here to make this comment myself. Regardless, +1
Also theirs was the size of a briefcase so having it small enough to fit on Moll's wrist 1000 years later makes perfect sense too.
my god.... those crazy bastards at Section 31 tactical RnD found a way to use the transporters to literally make "bugs bunny hammer space" for their arsenals
We've seen in Discovery already how tools materialize in their hands on away missions.
Love that game!
I don't think it's a Pringles can. It's a Barrel of Monkeys game. Can't win until all the primates hold hands...
Burnham says the mission is time critical but she decides in the middle of the mission, to have a heart to heart with Book. if they hadn't done that, they'd have succeeded.
Yes, so stupid, especially from show often criticized for being ongoing group therapy sessions.
Breen are now canonically poly-amorous hot oil jaccuzi swingers - at least on holidays and high holy days. Along with Saru and T'rina being utterly adorable, and Tilly and Rayner being work flirts, I'm here for horniness in a crisis.
This is now canon.
Need more Book with a Breen boyfriend
still not as horny as the Cerritos.
It's fine.

I'm so scared they will since it's the last episode 😭 it feels like they're setting it up to happen, but I hope thats just misdirection
And Saru has to do some guest lectures as well.
@@philopharynx7910I would’ve love Saru awkwardly trying to get through a special guest lecture
My thoughts exactly
I watched it once, I thought they were trying to sell the “Definitely Not Character Who’s Name I Didn’t Know” as “Extra In need of Extra Money” a la Gabriel Union in DS9 “Sons and Daughters” or the 3 (Fing 3, only nerds know) Zeals.
Thanks to Kris again for the running “Oops-a-daisy” gag! I literally laughed out loud!
Rayner did the Picard maneuver when he sat in the captains chair
Can we talk a moment to recognize that Commander Jemison is obviously a nod to NASA Astronaut Mae Jemison who appeared years ago on TNG?
I clocked it while watching the episode, very cool nod
NK Jemison is a stellar sci-fi author that could also be a reference.
That Tilley smile and scene was perfect!
You're wrong about that 5th down. The whole point of that location it was in (the lagrange point) is that it's a place where the gravity of the two black holes cancels out, making it "safe". The capsule being anywhere else outside that specific point is vastly different than the conditions it's spent the last 800 year in.
Plus the key is in the canister now and hence it was open when it was blown out too.
This episode, with Burnham going through the portal reminded me very much of Times Arrow part one.
Or Picard stepping through the Iconian gate onto the Romulan ship
The shuttle entering the dreadnaught through the exhaust port and almost getting melted in the process reminded me a lot of DS9 "One Little Ship" where the Rubicon is shrunk and also enters the Defiant through the plasma vent.
Sean your video closings are so beautiful. We need more peace and kindness in this world.
I know the perfect ending for the series.
Pull a “Bob Newhart”.
At the end, fade to white and show Williams Shatner waking up in bed saying “Damn! What the hell was that? No more chili fries before bed!”
😂
Yeah, I think that sounds terrible too.
I think rather than destroy it, Burnham pushes a new set of scientists to make a new set of clues to reset the riddle for somebody else in the future, which will suck as an ending.
Find Jeffery Combs is the loudest laugh you’ve given me. It hurt my ears!
So apparently the Breen are like tacos. You've got your hard shell ones, soft shell ones, and when they're in their uniforms, you've got the gorditas.
so racist
Can't believe Seán missed Rayner's Picard Tug when he sits in the chair.
I'm just gonna say, the canister really reminds me of the Lego Mini-kit containers from the various Lego video games
Goddamn minikits
The journey onto the Breen dreadnought strongly reminded me of Burnham and Prime Georgiou's ill-fated heist to the Klingon sarcophagus in "The Battle of the Binary Stars", but this time, it worked.
It's now the battle of the binary black hole's 😂 😂 ❤❤ ❤
@@dianenorton3316 its sort of like poetry they rhyme
I'm not sure how the Breen suits magically knew what was banter between the Disco crew and what they wanted to say and translate for the Breen. I guess the microphones work on plot power. My guess is the small pringle tin blew up because instead of being at the LaGrange point avoiding gravity, as it was for centuries, it's traveling closer to one of the black holes, I can't remember them explaining what a LG point is though so it could be clearer.
I love Jeffery combs ❤❤

I am so glad you gave a down to the helmet views. I thought I was alone on that one.
You are not alone.
14:30 - the outline of the cloak shows because of the 2 black holes sucking matter which hits the ship…
We really need to see Moll in a different base emotional state that isn’t cocky/bitter for the finale to work
After they yeeted everything bad from the show by going to the future i think it's safe to say whoever had the reigns for seasons 3 through 5 was smart enough to not ever touch the Klingons again in Discovery. Ever. At all.
In-universe you can probably chalk it up to them poking the wrong bear and Quo'nos lies in shambles, Klingons are like 2 steps above Kazon on a good day.
Anyway, where'd you hear that? We have any leaks already?
I’m calling it here. We will get a 32nd refit of the ISS Enterprise with Detmer and Owo, with the fleet, arriving just in time for a rescue.
That would make it all worth it.
I think that split screen moment was a power rangers reference….
Good grief you actually made me laugh with the "bring back Jeffry Combes" gag. Well done you said a funny.
Soooo catty haiyaaah
Saru is the "shape of the one between the many". A diplomat, and pragmatist who overcame existential fear to become something greater...Action Saru is about to have his moment I think.
So much yes
Detmer and Owo's absence feels so conspicuous that I can't help but think they're gonna come back in at the end of episode 10, shooting surprise torpedos from the ISS Enterprise, Han Solo style.
Oh good, another Star Wars reference I can tag this on to: Was I the only one half-expecting someone to utter to Tal "aren't you a little short for Stormtrooper"?
They have to yell "Yahoo!"
"Pringles Can", Love it. 🤣Love the DS9 references too. As for episode #10, even though the series is ending; Discovery will go on.
Part of me wishes that, When Burnham entered the "wormhole", she should have said "My god, its full of stars".

Disco gets the addition of Rayner (played by arguably one of the best Skin Job Cylon’s from BSG) and they decide to cancel it…wtf Paramount +!! Season 5 of Disco has been the best season since season 2! I hope we see more of Rayner…maybe he’ll pop up on Starfleet Academy? We can only hope!
I think the casing collapsed in space because it was unlocked and open by then rather than sealed as it had been for 800 years.
Rayner should join Tilly in the Academy they just work perfectly.
Honestly this season proves that it deserved a 6th season but hats off to it getting 5 when we are lucky to get 2 of other shows these days let's hope some of this rubs off on shows like One Piece.

Loved it.
Michael getting the away team ready to board the Dread: "We need speed, we need to be quick!".... once boarded decides to talk to Book about her feelings!
I was about to ask if the season has gotten any better and then I saw your post... Guess I'll wait.
The show is so obnoxious with how everyone is crying every five seconds talking about how great they all are and how much they all love and understand each other
It’s so absurd
Yeah, she is a pretty terrible Captain.
Also, are they the only people in the whole fkn federation to constantly make these potentially universe changing decisions?
A president, one captain, second in command (sometimes), maybe a ambassador from some random world and last some random dude that should be locked up with the key thrown away for trying to end the universe for SELFISH REASONS (Book).
And the new "bad guy" does the EXACT SAME THING for SELFISH REASONS, and this great guy Book WANTS TO SAVE HER, wait for it.... FOR SELFISH REASONS... sigh
The writers are a fkn joke.
That Jeffery Combs Joke made me actually Laugh out Loud. lolol
Gotta love Jonathan Frakes for directing this episode :).. much love..
I'm always anxious going into a discovery final episode, but this is the most hopeful and excited I've been for this show since it started, which makes it all the more a massive shame that this is the last we will get to see of it
Re Saru: You're not the only one. That was my first thought when he volunteered.
I would have loved to have heard the Breen who Book was hitting on asks, "So we're not going to the Feast together?"
The scenes of Discovery flying through the Breen ship reminded me of the scenes of Discovery flying through the Charon in the Mirror Universe.
Ah! it’s a full moon! Duh!
Sorry but you’re wrong about the container. It was explained earlier in the episode that the container was put into a place between both black holes where it was in perfect equilibrium. That is why it didn’t come apart. Plus, the integrity of the container had been breached by it being opened.
Discoverys phaser sounds this episode were Next Generation Phaser sounds you missed that. Also season 3 finale their phaser sounds from from TOS.
In the next episode Q shows up and tells them, they do not need so much power, to make the universe a better place!
Or Riker and Troi show up and say: „Computer, end program“

Either way... the only thing left to figure out... is WHOSE TWISTED HOLODECK FANTASY IS THIS.
and this was directed by frakes...
Both of those endings would be better than this trash, I guarantee.
Honestly, the "end program" would be better than ANYTHING THESE COMPLETE JOKE OF WRITERS came up with whatever it will be, I PROMISE you!

Yes I agree there was time before they went to the Breen ship (or actually between last episode and this one) for her to say those things...

@@engagingwisdom5947 so much yes to that comment...
This episode was so good ! Man cancelling discovery was a HUGE mistake !
"See you next week for the season finally." Sadly, also the series finally.
As always thank you so very much all.
The suits are refrigerated, but that leads to the question why isn’t the ship cold enough not to need the suits?
The suits are a cultural thing for them on top of their utility, it seems
apparently the extreme cold helps them heal injuries, so keeping it in a suit rather than having to cool down the entire ship is an energy saver. Explains why the guy went down after sustaining minor injuries in the fight... his suit vented so the Breen is now warmed up and vulnerable.
Jelly Breen might leave slime everywhere. Can you imagine how slimy control panels would get if touched with jelly fingers.
@@Tim.Stotelmeyer also they might need to be equipped to carry prisoners or allies like Moll, and no other humanoid species is quite like them
@petertrudelljr "cool down" the ship from the ambient outside temperature to something more Breeny? That's not what "cooling" means

100% support your message of how peace is made. Hoping the last ep whops us on the head with that in a beautiful way. Also a great wedding.
The series began with a battle at a binary system (Binary Stars) and will technically end the same (Binary Black Holes)
My understanding of the casing of the Progenitor tech breaking open was that it got damaged when Discovery rammed the Breen ship and pretty much wrecked or blew up a whole lotta shit in the shuttle bay.
"Pringles can", AMAZING. But actually, my first thought was "Whisky barrel" 😅
I get what you're saying about the effects for the cloaked Discovery but from a Physics perspective being next to two black holes will easily throw things out of whack and I think we can give them this one.
and Rayner felt comfortable and finaly sat on the chair
