To all watching this video in August of 2022 or beyond : Around the 8:00 mark where we discuss deposits - Please understand we are describing the practices of a large % of the online slimy transport firms you will encounter out there. We are obviously not describing how we operate at airRyd.com - And the strategy described of "waiting to pay a deposit until a truck is assigned to the order " - simply no longer works because these large firms have adjusted, and they will often simply claim that a trucking company has been assigned, (even if they have not ) just to give justification to charge your card a nice $200-300 deposit fee. Then once your card has been charged, they'll update you a day or two later, to let you know the "supposed" trucking company has unfortunately cancelled. But they now have you locked in all the same, and you have no way of ever knowing what's what. Some companies also even have shell trucking companies with real DOT #s on standby, with an actual person on the other end of the phone, just so they can claim they have dispatched out your order - so they can then charge your card. It is a tough world out there for the unknowing consumer. At our firm, over at airRyd - we always have the same exact process on every single order. We charge a flat $89 (open transport order / per car ) or a flat $125 (enclosed transport order / per car ) on EVERY single order. It never changes. No games are ever played. Nothing beyond that is ever due until the delivery at the destination when your car is dropped off to you. And if your asking, why charge an upfront fee ? We have a couple very clear answers to that question. 1.) If we charged nothing when a customer booked an order, we would have no possible way of knowing what orders are real, what orders are fake or spam, and we would have absolutely no way of knowing if this customer will be MIA or unresponsive once we do locate an option to get the car moved. This takes real human capital to deliver a good service, we can't possibly devote hundreds of hours to orders that simply are never happening. It is just a way to weed out those who are serious from those who are simply shopping. 2.) If we actually posted hundreds of "non-confirmed " orders on major load boards, including our own at airRyd.com - trucks will eventually realize when they inquire in on these loads, that at least 50% are not even legitimate. This will lead to a drop in activity from trucking companies, and thus make our real orders much harder to move. Trucks don't have time to waste, they want to deal with companies that have LEGITIMATE loads, not "maybe" loads. So this would lead to a damaged reputation for us on all major load boards. 3.) There is simply no incentive from our perspective to deliver a good service to a customer with a big question mark over their order, and there is also basically no trust from the customer perspective if they are not willing to pay a small fee to hire us. So the order is not on the right footing when no monies have been paid. For these reasons and others, this is why we operate as we do. And if anyone is truly unhappy at anytime with our services, we will happily refund them on the booking fee , no questions asked. I wanted to understand how not to get ripped off. If your like me? And company reviews hold a lot of sway over your opinion? You’re probably experience and what I did. A lot of companies online have paid fake reviews at 5 stars, but then you find where the business is located and their actual reviews and it’s more like two stars. Anyways, after watching this video. I used the link in the description which got me over to his company website and Wes took great care of me and my vehicle moving from California to Idaho. The cost did come out a little higher than the original quote, but! The car was in inoperable and had no functional brakes, so very reasonable for the added complexity of the move. wish i seen your information before i did the mistake .they quote the rate $1595 and lock me underthe hidden contact and demand to pay either $2195 or cancelation fee of $500. so i end up paid $2195 from ridgewood city california to orlando Florida.
Wes (author of the video) was very helpful shipping my car. I tried multiple brokers but none were as upfront and honest as him. I was trying to move my car for 2 weeks. He got it moved in one day!!

Upon researching the companies that are texting me, it turns out theyre all criminals! it has to be against the law for them to sell my data like that to those bait and switchers. The whole shipping industry is bullshit. I thought shipping my car would be worth a 30 hour drive, but the 30 hour drive is orders of magnitude less stressful than dealing with shipping companies. It's sad how many fraudulent companies there are out there.

Hello. Just a thought here.. the purpose the brokers are just middle men trying to do the phonecalls and scheduling for vehicle. Since they don't really insure nor pay for your car's damage. Am I correct here? Just a thought again. If customers are capable of calling or searching on the internet for a shipper, the same way a broker is capable of making phonecalls, then why do customers have to go to a middle man? Because there is little or no direct contact to carriers??
I was told you have to be licensed for hauling to use the few companies that actually do the hauling. Much in the way you need to be dealer licensed to go to police auction for used cars (the way used car lots get their cars).
My son used auto transport from Virginia to California. During transport, the car was removed from transport and was driven over 100 miles. The car arrived 2 days late. He noticed a discrepancy in mileage, not only that there was a medium size dent in the passenger side door. When he contacted the company, they denied that any of this happened. He would have pursued filing a complaint but because of his job, he let it slide. Please if you have a problem with a auto transport company, don't let them get away with it.

I have been refused the carrier name unless I paid $...but oh hey we have a carrier for you. I'm pretty good at mc/usdot/FMCSA searches and if I can't vet when you tell me you have a carrier then what the heck. vetting a broker is nothing compared to the transport co.

Usually you just have to have a wee bit of trust in your seller . You can wire the money or send them a cashiers check , make sure you get a bill of sale by email with their signature also . And then from that point you can just call us up or logon to airRyd.com - and book your transport and we will arrange and coordinate getting it loaded from your seller. Don’t really ever see problems with it. The bill of sale represents your legal purchase of the vehicle .

Just wondering what is your opinion on moving it by rail without suspension blocks? I can't imagine owners of classic cars are putting in suspension blocks every time they move it by truck.
I spoke with a broker yesterday and he told me basically everything you said on this video in regards to transportation companies. Would this gentleman seem to be the one to go with? Or does every broker say this to earn their trust without actually caring?
I am working in this industry as Sales Agent, Whenever I pitched real price they never accept. Sometimes I even shows screenshot of my central dispatch, still they say like I have cheaper quote etc. Now I don't explain, I just take initial deposit and dont care. If I found trucker i let them know if they agree to pay I dispatch, if not "ok let me find another in your budget". This never gonna happens.

Yeah this is making me not trust it at all. I just want to get to Charlotte from Philly and back without putting miles both ways for a weekend trip. I will drive one way and fly the other. I NEED it to be there in time or I NEED a 6hr pick up window for the way home. But at the rates I saw to not know if I’m talking with the trucking company and no way I can know how good they are I’d rather just do the 9 hr trek both ways lol. It’s a fairly expensive car and that’s just way too risky.

So I'm looked at using Dynamic Auto movers and they gave me a quote of 1190. but they said in order to reserve, they need a deposit of $140 but later said that my card won't be charged until 2 days before my pickup date. I screwed up royally, put my contact information into 2 separate "generators". I am getting 25 calls text in Emails an hour. The phone is literally ringing right now. Everyone says their last name is Garcia with Garcia transportation. Like hundreds of callers. Will they ever stop? What is the name of a legit company I can call directly? It's a nice car but not exotic or anything.

I have been refused the carrier name unless I paid $...but oh hey we have a carrier for you. I'm pretty good at mc/usdot/FMCSA searches and if I can't vet when you tell me you have a carrier then what the heck. vetting a broker is nothing compared to the transport co.

Am I just stupid but how do you pay for a car out of state like what’s the payment method?
Usually you just have to have a wee bit of trust in your seller . You can wire the money or send them a cashiers check , make sure you get a bill of sale by email with their signature also . And then from that point you can just call us up or logon to airRyd.com - and book your transport and we will arrange and coordinate getting it loaded from your seller. Don’t really ever see problems with it. The bill of sale represents your legal purchase of the vehicle .

I am working in this industry as Sales Agent,
Whenever I pitched real price they never accept. Sometimes I even shows screenshot of my central dispatch, still they say like I have cheaper quote etc.
Now I don't explain, I just take initial deposit and dont care.
If I found trucker i let them know if they agree to pay I dispatch, if not "ok let me find another in your budget". This never gonna happens.
So do we just need to find the companies ourselves? I still have no idea how to send my car from SD to SF without sending money to some random person that called me from an unknown number lol

Yeah this is making me not trust it at all. I just want to get to Charlotte from
Philly and back without putting miles both ways for a weekend trip. I will drive one way and fly the other. I NEED it to be there in time or I NEED a 6hr pick up window for the way home. But at the rates I saw to not know if I’m talking with the trucking company and no way I can know how good they are I’d rather just do the 9 hr trek both ways lol. It’s a fairly expensive car and that’s just way too risky.

So I'm looked at using Dynamic Auto movers and they gave me a quote of 1190. but they said in order to reserve, they need a deposit of $140 but later said that my card won't be charged until 2 days before my pickup date. On June 17th, the charge ig went through and I'm having second thoughts about using them because I've heard that transport companies making you deposit prior to pickup isn't a good sign. so what should I do?
