Displaying her outstanding composing skills, the song also shows off IU's unique singing technique. G. Gorilla took part in the production and arrangement of the song, adding to the musical perfection of IU's first work.

アイユの自作曲である「私の手を握って」は、アコースティックギターをベースにしたモダンロックで、男女がお互いに感じる愛の始まりをモダンな感性で描き出した。作曲家としても驚くほどの実力を見せている「私の手を握って」は、アイユならではの甘い歌い方が引き立って見える。また、G.ゴリラが曲のプロデュースや編曲に参加し、アイユの初めての作品に力を与えてくれて、音楽的完成度を高めた。
