Thank you for showing how easy & beautiful all matte eye looks can be with the right formula. Can’t say it enough that Viseart shadows are my GOLD STANDARD for mattes. Really appreciate the setup of GP1 because it takes the guess work out of creating a gradient effect. This isn’t as obvious in their 12-pans. The way the shadows in each row blend into each other to create “in-between” shades is crucial for contouring the eye with no harsh lines or turning muddy❣️

Exactly, Sheila! And that’s something that’s difficult to achieve, and I feel overlooked at the same time. The gradient is so color rich without looking muddy as you said. And it allows for more freedom in layering! We can go on and on 🥰🤓💕

I'm so happy you did this video! I have this palette and would love to learn how to better utilize the colors and create looks. If you have this palette, you have all the mattes you will ever need. The new makeup geek palettes that just came out remind me of this same idea with the matrix theory marlena has. I was like omg I want that neutral palette and then I was like wait I have the viseart grand pro 1 which is the same thing but better because it has neutral and colors in it!

I swear Viseart Mattes practically blend themselves. How did I not know that some of their pigments can be used on the face? I know this isn’t a new concept but I’m always amazed when I see eyeshadows work well to sculpt the face or even as a blush.

I think as my eyeshadow expires & I thin it out even more by not buying anything new this year, I may end up just biting the bullet & purchasing this Grand Pro. It looks like it has all the basic matte shades I use regularly & I have not found better purple mattes than Viseart. Tbh their shimmer formula isn't my fave but I can make a small custom palette of shimmer lid shades & duochromes to use with this Beauty & probably have all my bases covered. Since everything is magnetic & removable, I can make my own color capsule palettes as the need or mood arises. Thanks for reminding me Alicia. Now I'm even more determined to hold off buying new stuff until I can attain my dream minimalist goal :)
I already had all but one of the Esum brushes in Michele's set, they were my first natural hair brushes & I love them. I still use 3 of them evey time I put on eye makeup. I'm so thrilled her set was successful although bummed it sold out before I could get it.

I love my milieu palette and I almost bought this one recently, then I started reading reviews and I saw a few people saying it was a different formula than the 12 pans, mostly that the darks were harder to work with and that maybe it was bc it was made somewhere else. My daughter does freelance makeup for a photography studio where we live and I’ve been wanting to get her a palette that would have pretty much everything she would need. Okay so, I love Michele Wang, I've been eyeing her brushes, but have also been eyeing Sonia G brushes, which she also recommends, which should I choose?!?
Eyeing the Sonia G pro eye set...
Love Sonia G more than my other brushes, simply because they are so elegant. The lacquered handles and shape are beautiful. I suggest getting the pro eye set. I've been impressed with how that and the Sky Eye set work together-that's how Sonia G planned them.
The Michelle Wang set is her favorites from existing Esum brushes.

I have some of the smaller Viseart palettes and the mattes ARE phenomenal. I’ve been thinking about adding this to my collection, but I wonder if you’ve tried to make a green from the blues and more yellowy colors?

I'll give my Viseart pallet another try. Unfortunately Viseart shadows are very dry and they enhance my dry eye lids and is not flattering at all. I twill try to use other primers that can help with that problem because is a very expensive pallet to just have it and not use it. Thank you for the tutorial!
