Editing Civil 3D Feature Line Geometry using "Fit Curve" & "Smooth"

- Feature lines are one of the major components used to define a 3D design. For that reason, Civil 3D provides a large tool set for the purpose of editing feature line geometry. In this session we’ll make some modifications to a feature line using the “Fit Curve” and “Smooth” tools.

This works for 2D polylines as well. Thank you so much for this! We receive mapping from other programs and the lines are a series of millions of vertices connecting tiny straight lines. Using PEDIT-Fit first, and then FitCurve, this cleans up those lines brilliantly!
You can not create an arc with different elevations at random points using any of AutoCAD commands (line, polyline, arc, circke or 3D polyline). However, the method as suggested in your comment will work only when working on a flat plane.
