When I listen to such inspirational videos, I usually think, “Yes, it's true, everything is possible, I can do it,” BUT the problem is that if I start talking to native speakers who think that I cannot speak English, and start talking to me like I'm a fool, or they don't say anything to me. Of course, I am very shy after that. I know it is just in my mind. I do not want to give up, but I do not know how I can help myself. I want to speak English. I have been studying English for 2 years now. However, I feel my English is getting worse even though I teach it every day . I'll take a look at the links you suggested, and I hope this helps me. It is the best inspirational video that I have ever seen.
Thanks for the comment Elena. As you rightly point out, our perceptions of others are mostly in our minds and unfortunately, we cannot change how people talk to us, but we can change how we react. Easy to say, I know, difficult to do! I think you should definitely continue with your English learning and speaking. Maybe don't focus too much on the language and focus more on your ideas and being you. On note on your teaching - it happens to many language teachers that their English gets worse as they teach, not better! Strange, right? But very common. I think it's partly because teachers have to use the language at a level below their real level, and this drop starts to become permanent. Keep sharpening the saw!

I've listened to this video many times and started to apply this methods. The best one is pretending. :) It is not only effective but also funny in a way. In my fantasy I am a brave and extrovert person who loves to speak English. Sometimes, I can even imagine that I'm sitting with confidence in front of the examiner. :) I hope I'll be able to get rid of my shyness and build up my confidence for my IELTS exam.

I don't hesitate to put myself in uncomfortable situation even if i'm not confident sometimes. I also try speaking in front of the mirror to boost my confidence as biofeedback therapy🙂

I think I am not bad at speaking english, but this is the module in IELTS in which I always scored the least of all 4 modules. I am really confused what the problem is and why I couldn't score more than 6-6.5 bands in speaking. Though I know all the 4 band descriptors to judge my performance and try to speak by keeping them in mind. I really wish I could have a chance to do a mock test with you to know where I lack. Because I am curious to improve my band score in Speaking once I know my weakness.

A mock test would really help you, but
I am afraid I am not taking on any new students for mock tests at the moment, due to a heavy workload.
