only 2 states in India which didn't face any power cut( load shedding) are karnataka and bengal.. karnataka saved itself as they have less dependency on coal and bengal has sufficient amount of production of coal to run all the major 5 power plants under WBSEDCL without any shortage....
Karnataka developed renewable energy based power plants which are ideal and must be promoted now instead of coal but Bengal still heavily focuses on coal instead of biomass based power,solar etc. thus promoting unsustainable growth

Bengal is the only state in India which hardly has any dependence on coal India regarding coal production.. Whereas other North and west Indian states are heavily dependent on coal India.. 5 power plants of west Bengal government have 5 exclusive coal blocks.. So no matter what happens, there can't be a load shedding in west Bengal..

We are a coal rich state, we should fully utilize it.. We can trun our public transport into electric vehicles based system to counter pollution..
