I honestly don't think this song was written about the novel. Hollyweird, music industry, secret society's they are all connected at certain points. Madien has lots of songs about the agendas. Maiden (atleast certain members)have been in the club (industry) a long time.
I read the book and it blew my mind. The movie was made before it's time and could not capture the ideal of the book. This song really captured the feel of the novel.
This song is so awesome. I just finished reading the book and the song has become even more awesome once you understand the lyrics. Only Maiden is capable of doing so. Up the Irons, keep on rockin and banging your head
This is actually based on the book "Brave New World." Go look it up sometime, and read it if you can find a copy. You'll really come to understand the song a lot better.
I really believe the whole concept of "brave new world" in this song is of a satirical nature.. he mocks the way mankind has changed this world into a "brave" new one. how we need to sell ourselves, our time, our life, in order to survive. still we need to change it, and help it become an actually good one.
@Faith Idiom Channel No, it's not really ambiguous. In Brave New World, telling the truth is forbidden. Mustapha Mond and Helmholtz's plot arcs are all about people faced with truth in a world where it's banned.
@@TheChristianVarangian Not sure if you're being sarcastic but yes there very much is a book, and its awesome. I think its the first novel to feature cloning vats to create a master race (or in this case, a caste).

@munjerdo This song is based on the book by Aldous Huxley "Brave new world" The book itself is truly a wonderfuly written contemplation of philosiphy. Iron maiden is singing about the theme and truly captures and amplifies the ideals expressed in the book.

@lemmingsuicide1234 The same as the title of this song and album: Brave new world by Huxley. If your getting into poetry or literature you probably also want to read Lord of the Flies by Wiliam Golding since its also a song by Iron Maiden ;).
Mother love I don't think is referring to nature, but refers to children being raised without parents in the book. Savage refers to those living outside of their "normal" society. Given that the book is set in a dystopic future society; there is irony in naming the outsiders savages when all they really are is free thinkers. Overall good review though and synthesis. :D Check out Huxley's letter to Orwell about his recently released 1984.
@0ggabOgga I'll never understand why people feel like they need to pigeon hole themselves like that. I'm a huge fan of metal, mostly old, but I also enjoy a fair amount of hip hop and rap(including Eminem). There is a lot of good music out there, try to enjoy as much of it as you can.
Has anyone seen that Adult Swim bump from last week where they put the words "in your pants" after a few phrases? One of those phrases was " Brave new world" so after they did that it went " Brave new world in your pants" I think that might have been a reference to this album because Master Shake is clearly a Iron Maiden fan.

In reference to "Dora the explora"'s comment, if you had any sense of good music or actually had a heart then you MIGHT be able to begin to comprehend the meaning and heart behind this song where as 1D an all those other cretins are adversely conducive to society, in short if you don't like what you hear then don't listen or even search for real bands like "iron maiden" if you can't cope with real music
Actually, while I agree that Iron Maiden is one of the few quote-on-quote "real bands", Some of One Direction's songs actually do have a soul to them. It may not be an angry soul, such as with rock music, but it doesn't matter due to the fact that One Direction is not a rock band. Also, Justin Bieber, in reference to the Dora comment, used to actually have real songs about life. For example, his song "Pray" was written for all the hardships in the world such as the Haitian earthquake, the Japan explosion. starving children, wars, etc.. But just because you do not like a certain genre of music does not mean that you have to put down other's because you never know, just because they sound all bubblegum-like, does not mean that their songs do not have a message in them.
Barbara Stanley Yeah,I like Iron Maiden and Pop music or culture are not of my taste. But I do agree that artists are not cooped in a musical genre. I don't follow bands or artists that don't say anything that makes me feel. Abaut "One Direction" and other bands that don't make their own lyrics or compositions, Ireally don't like them, compositions and lyrics have a part of the artist's soul, that's why song can touch your heart. That's one of the real diferences between an artist and a performer.
Reading Aldous Huxley's novel. Though I doubt it's a work of fiction at this point xD
I think him and Orwell were Socialists and so understood what dark future woud be thrust upon us.
Perhaps then warned us..as he knew it was too much..
It's the most realistic antiutopia for nowadays

Lost my love, lost my life

In a lifetime alone
