No, personal experience. The remedy is to wrap it in tinfoil.

@@jasonkennedy8375I used a hacksaw to remove the welded bracket from the handlebars, and took the contents out of the plastic holder, wrapped it in tinfoil and pushed it into the wiring loom.
The dealer had activated the ABS warning light (flashing) and the indicator warning lights (both flashing double-time) when the brakes were working perfectly. I was careful not to break any circuits. There's a box with a battery in under the seat which I think is part of the system, left that alone as well. That was a year ago, no problems.

My Honda NT1100 has Android Auto and it's fantastic. That would be a nice addition along with a TFT screen!

Was considering buying one but i think the thieves would target it. My wife's pcx has been targeted twice.
Oh yeah. Scooters are favourites with thieves. If it's going to be out of your sight for more than 30 seconds use a chain or cable lock. For all you know a thief could be just around the corner and that's as long as it takes to wheel it away.

The keyless ignition doesn't help. Convenience of not having to use a key? How about the inconvenience of having your bike stolen? If I had one I would never turn my back on it unless it had a chain or cable lock on it. Preferably secured to something like a lamp post.
Take a big Doberman pincher with you with a big spiked collar and one that likes to show his teeth. Let him stand guard! 🤣
