    Nice to not have music interfering with the commentary and sound of the bike. Light hearted and informative. Just a great job all round. Thanks mate

    Curious to know what happened to Ep. 38, and the promised cost summary 😀
    I fancy the trip to Greece / Turkey some time although I’d like to go overland all the way (Romania looks nice 👌)
    Looking forward to your 2023 adventure - and thanks again!

    Fantastic series of videos and thank you for taking us along. Brought up lots of memories travelling solo throughout Europe a half century ago (as well as some more recent trips no longer solo). You are right on that one should travel when you can and if you are willing to sacrifice a little on comforts it can be done quite cheaply. It is definitely worth it! I too am not a fan of group travel as there are so many adjustments that you have to make to accommodate every one in the group. Adjusting to one other person is adjustment enough! Good Luck and thanks again!

    Just finished watching all 39 episodes, (although I couldn't find episode 38) which is about 19 hours of video. That's a lot of editing! Thank you for all the effort you put into this. 👍
    I enjoyed it all. It reaffirms my belief that Italy no longer appeals to me, Switzerland is way beyond my pay grade and Spain is the best biking country in Western Europe. Touring greece is something to consider.
    I'm now going to have a look-see at your other videos.
    From the beginning to the end You reminded me of Joe Lycett! 🤷🏼‍♂️😁

    • @AnotherHipster
      @AnotherHipster  ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow, thankyou so much for your dedication! I'm sorry about episode 38, I tried to fly my drone somewhere i wasn't meant to and i was worried about someone reporting me. So i accidentally clicked delete instead of hide & I cant get it back. other than that it was a very simple video
      Spain and greece were fantastic highlights, switerland was hard to relax because I just spent money all the time.
      I really appreciate your kind comment, I used the advert money from this series to buy a new Garmin Sat nav so hopefully can adventure again soon!

      @@tomcrookes5689 hey Tom, glad to hear it is a very lovely bike. If you go for an Urban GS I think the older ones with the 2 into 1 exhaust sound the best. The Akrovic pipe is ok but I personally prefer the Bmw factory stock one made for the Urban GS 😎 I didn't get a scrambler because of that exhaust but also I didn't like the used ones on sale at the time they were all scratched up or high milage

Would love too see you do an after trip breakdown of your expenses, eg total cost of fuel, hotels, food, etc. Could be useful for someone planning a similar journey. I watched the earlier episodes when you brought them out, then got sidetracked. So here I am watching the final one. Was the bike 100 per cent reliable? Did it stop using oil? My old R1100GS only stopped using it around 30,000 miles on a trip back from Athens in '98. I rode it from 4,000 to 95,000 miles. Great bike.
    What panniers are on the bike, please?
    Do you still have the bike? The Urban G/S and Ducati 1100 Tribute Pro are my favourite bikes in this genre. I ride a Yamaha SCR950. A bit heavy but grunty. Enough for Thailand. Nick J

      Hi Nick, sorry for the massive delay. TH-cam has hidden lots of comments for some reason :( Yes the bike was 100% reliable it never let me down once even in the rain, then heat of Greece & Spain it just purred onwards. These are Unit Garage Panniers I brought them from Pier City custom its great customer service there and they have a workshop too. These are the slimmer options. your trip must have been great, I still have the bike, still love it just don't post much anymore

    hi guy i'm confused buying a rnine urban gs or a triumph scrmbler 1200 xc what you counsil? you try both... then unitgarage panniers 34+40 are big enough? i travel in 2 not alone so think better bigger 41-47?

    • @AnotherHipster
      @AnotherHipster  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Nicola, for 2 up I think they are both great bikes. The scrambler is a bit too tall in my opinion and I just think the R9T has the power to chug through anything. But my friend came on the back once and she couldn’t do more than 10 miles before her knees really really hurt from the seating position so I’d say test both if you can. I only ride my R9T solo.
      Unit garage they are a brilliant size & they have the strap points on the top so if it was more space then there’s great add on waterproof top bags you could look at for anything that won’t fit in the bag. But it sounds like the bigger ones are your best choice from Pier City Custom if you live in the UK 👍

I test a rnine urban gs with some accessories from unit garage but i'm tall 185 cm and perhaps a bit smalle bike then on the rear my wife not so confortable... i see you made trip alone so i think better ... I saw you made a test on the 1200 scrambler i think i'm tall enough so i ask you the difference of the engine?? the rnine is very prompt and powerfulll.... on test i see also triumph has enough power torque at low speed... i follow your trip to greece ... passing from Italy paestum atc... well known GREAT
