This is a horribly dumb question, but how do you get your roll ready to develop the film?? I purchased two cheap film cameras to practice and when the roll was done, took the film out of the camera. Am I supposed to put the film back in the roll? Do I wrap the film around the roll? Do I cut the film off of the role (which I stupidly did before checking)? I feel like an idiot!
Ohh nooo, you took it out?😬 I mean it's not a dumb question at all, a classic beginner mistake, but I'm sorry to tell you that if you took it out, your photos are gone😩 When you finish shooting, you roll it back into the canister inside the camera. SLRs usually have a lever to do that, whereas point and shoots often do it automatically. What is important is, that the film doesn't get into contact with light, therefore taking it out is the end :( May I suggest that you watch this beginner's guide to get a basic understanding of how this works? In the video I also explain the part about getting the film out of the camera in more detail: th-cam.com/video/Ax4Yn16Rw8s/w-d-xo.html Ahhh I feel sorry for you that this roll got messed up, but next time it'll work👏🏼💪🏼
I’m a new Canadian German Subscriber and a new photographer. I find your channel very interesting and think your videos are always interesting. Thanks for sharing them with us. ☺️👍🏻
Brilliant video Teo, Love the use of B&W. Enjoyed the more casual photos you took, just have that relaxed feel about them. Looks like you had a wonderful time and such great location for inspiration. The photos that have people in them stand out, I think there is a timelessness to people shot in monochrome. Thanks for sharing!
For someone that doesn't do a lot of street photography, these came out incredible! I've never been able to make black and white pop like that so major props to you man! I especially love the stair shot at 08:47.
hello i've been on a total channel binge today and i love your content! i'm considering starting film photography and your channel has been both informative and entertaining, i love it
Ahh, I miss Paris! Lovely photos as always Teo! What a great way to shoot your first roll of HP5! I remember I was very pleased with the results I got in the video where I shot my first roll not all that long ago.
Wow! Im in love! I grew up with digital and I like film more because, like its just cool how to use it. Keep making great videos like these! I have a canon eos 100 QD (elan) and I would really like to see you try it out someday! 😁😁
I am slightly disappointed you either a) did not throw soup at any of the paintings at the museum b) did not photograph anyone throwing soup at any of the paintings at the museum ;) Nice images.
Thank you! :)) Oh no worries, you didn't miss anything - I didn't note it anywhere in the video. To be honest, I don't even really know myself haha. I found that they both make pretty similar results.
I want you to own a fujifilm x camera so bad. I feel like you would love the film simulations and experience shooting fuji digital because u get that same film experience
I’ve noticed that shooting B&W in cities usually just works, and I agree that it looks amazing for Paris
Right!? I wonder how it is in more modern cities. Paris' old architecture is what initially gave me the B&W vibes, but maybe it's cities in general🤔🙌🏼
Paris is PERFECT for black and white photos! ❤
Right!? I love how these turned out🤗🙌🏼
paris + black and white
what a perfect match
I liked that you kept the video also in bnw to not disturb the viewer from the bnw pictures. Very nice!
B&W was the perfect choice! I love that you made the video B&W too, it felt so relaxing and fitting
I love your videos Teo but i think this is mi favorite one❤️ i just love b&w, i wish you the best!

Thanks

Wonderful video!! What was your 35mm camera for the trip?
Another great one!! I was wondering, the camera you used is the minolta point and shoot camera you already showed in previous video?
Your voice is so soothing 😢
Aww thank you🥺🙏🏼
sehr nices video wieder! :)
Aww dankeschön!🤗🙏🏼
The atmosphere of this video is so magnificent! The photos look so amazing, maybe u could tell which film camera you used?
I am slightly disappointed you either

Nice images.
Nice photos! Maybe i missed it, but which photos are the apx 400? :)
Thank you! :))

Would you ever post your gallery to Flickr?
It is a pity that there is no info which film belongs to which photo!😢
Andre kertész vibe, not sure if it's due to the bw film or just Paris 😂
What film camera did you use?
I had an Olympus XA3 and a Olympus Mju ii with me🙌🏼
I want you to own a fujifilm x camera so bad. I feel like you would love the film simulations and experience shooting fuji digital because u get that same film experience
bleah, where are the colors?
