- The Supreme Court on Friday granted interim bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal till June 1 in connection with a money laundering case linked to the now-scrapped Delhi liquor policy. He may walk out of Tihar Jail today and has been asked to surrender to the prison authorities by June 2.
A bench of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and Dipankar Datta pronounced the verdict after a brief hearing on an interim bail plea filed by Kejriwal. The plea filed by Kejriwal had challenged his arrest in the Delhi liquor policy case and the subsequent request for interim bail to enable his participation in campaigning for the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.

His release from jail is under another master plan of Modi Amitsha Combine and the tactical move shall by visible soon. 1) None shall complain about the freedom of the Judiciary under the Modi Govt . 2) The venomous Kejriwal has been released on an Interim Bail and the Conditions of the bail have already removed the teeth of this reptile. The SC shall be watching his actions and he shall be taken to task for each of Bail Condition violations, many he can not desist from violating/ shall be forced to violate 3) The INDI Alliance partners will ensure that Kejriwal shall not hijack the alliance, the way he did with IAC. Each leader of the alliance partners shall be opposed by the rest of partners unitedly and this was not that strong Kejri was in Jail. With him being allowed to play in the field the fight between the leaders shall become more serious..

What love did the SC judge have for Kejriwal when the HC almost ruled that it was a case totally undeserving of the consideration that his arrest was illegal? Only this judge in the SC feels otherwise. What is so special about Kejriwal, other than possibly a soft corner for the Judge to use his discretion totally in favor of Kejriwal. And that too when the plea in the court was absolutely not for bail. It appears interim Bail was just plucked out of thin air, and Kejriwal was lucky for this unprecedented favor of discretion.

Not easy to understand to the ordinary citizens for them they are different from the politicians and the rich who can afford to fight their cases in the Supreme Court. Justice is not equal for all. The next Govt must amend the constitution to make a separate reservation for political class as above the ordinary law applicable to other citizens.

Strict conditional interim bail to Kejriwal will prove to be strangulating knot on his neck.
However, Supreme Court judgment granting bail to Kejriwal will set a very bad precedent. It will create a new category of interim bails. It will flood courts with interim bails.
Since lower courts submit to SC judgments, this will become an easy destination direction, escape route for the corrupt & criminals. High Courts will then start granting bail to corrupt politicians during state assembly elections.
Influencing election outcome because of bail & succeeding in election will be equated by the corrupt & criminal as exoneration. That can further influence final judgment.
This can also create public anger against judges if the judgment differs from the peoples' judgment of electoral victory of the corrupt.
Judicial reforms, police & investigative reforms are urgently required in India to prevent corruption & diversion of trillions of rupees into non-productive fields.

@@rachanar.chandran8540 so BJP made a change in the law called PMLA Prevention against Money Laundering Act which gives right to ED to arrest anyone on grounds of suspicion. Unlike most laws, this law said that the person is considered guilty unless he proves himself or herself innocent. Therefore he was arrested as per the law and judiciary judges as per the law. The problem is that this new law is used by the people in power to put opposition behind bars without the crime being proven. 95% of the cases ED does is on the opposition of which their conviction rate is only 0.5%.
Forget conviction, they haven’t even started the case and completed their charge sheet for many since years, therefore all those that may be guilty are still behind bars including Manish Sisodia.

The order is a contriductory one, inside jail was CM, on (interim bail) parole as a suspended CM, still under judicial custody thats why has to surrender back in jail. There will be no electoral impact by this SC decision BJP is comfortably placed in delhi and congress in punjab. ED should file review petition against the order.
