He prides himself on it. Look at his channel and see. Even a cynical sardonista can agree this song is special, whether they admit it or not.

😊my therapist does “music therapy” in a group therapy setting. When I found that out, and I introduced her to Ren, she says that her; and so many clients lives have and will never be the same. She thanks me all the time. The rabbit hole is so deep. Unmatched!

I have watched all I’ve found on him and he is a really talanted singer, musician and rapper. But most of all a great performer and a brilliant poet. I really like him.

I have been captivated by this song over the past couple of weeks. It's not Metal as a style, but I think its metal (meaning hard core badass and dealing with difficult themes of internal pain and struggle).
Ren's an absolute beast on stage. He's originally coming from street performance, so playing to a crowd would come with the territory. He's also part of a pretty terrific band called The Big Push, You can find some of their live performances online and they are worth every minute of your time. This fella does not miss.

Then, I was mesmerized by the way he started playing the guitar with such intensity. But once he actually started speaking it was just... Wow... It left me speechless, from the beginning to the very end, and I'm still trying to process what I listened to. As someone who deals with mental issues and has a sort of split personality syndrome, I think this is a HUGE message to those who may not understand us, who deal with our inner demons every day. Ren contracted Lyme diseases as a Teen. He went to the UK doctors complaining of severe pain in his entire body. They didn't catch the Lyme, and instead diagnosed him with Psychosis (they said it was all in his head). Instead of treating him for the Lyme, they gave him psycho-active/tropic drugs (which can come with horrible side-effects). He is now getting treatment for his Lyme and trying to repair his body (he actually did suffer "brain damage" from the Lyme). Ren has a GoFundMe account to help pay medical bills.....The pig is a butcher, Ren's take on many doctors......the discordant guitar and vocals represent his internal chaos, as do the blinking lights.......

my connection to this song is only the similarity of struggle,, i'm undiagnosed autistic and have struggled with being a bit weird my whole life i had to start my own business because i had problems holding a job with sleep disorders and high ethics.. but managed to stay in business the last 40 years without needing to advertise or even carry a card, i run a lawn and tree service and do all phases of construction and kind of an inventor on the side after six years of development i figured out a disaster response product that could help millions worldwide .. then my insurance agent forgot to post a payment back in 2020 and the state took everything i worked the last 40 years for away .. stuck at home like a prisoner i came online and saw people helping others so i started making videos explaining hat i was. trying to do to get help and found out if the platform your uploading to doesn't promote you your just talking to your phone, and then i see stuff like this and get jealous because i will never write a song that gets peoples attn like this. so my chances are fading. and it's scary as hell to think of all that could be, but it may all be lost because one person forgot to hit enter on there keyboard..

should you choose to listen to his 'London trilogy' and I think you most certainly should, Jenny's Tale, Screech's Tale, and Violets Tale is the correct order. It simply brilliant.
Like you i'm a metalhead, but this piece of art was just out of this world. I would argue that it doesn't really matter how this translate to stage because the implicit message it carries through this video is far superior and important than any live performance. Some music and some art is just meant to be heard and experienced in solitude and this is one of those pieces in my opinion. I think i can even go as far as to say that this is probably on par with Shakespeare but in modern form. It is relatable to pretty much every single person in the world. Regardless of the severity of our struggles we can all relate to the inner struggle he depicts.

I just realized that he is aware of, and deliberately controlling his pitch, even in his talking voice.
Also the changes in guitar styles between the 2 characters. Easily overlooked in the tsunami.

my connection to this song is only the similarity of struggle,,
i'm undiagnosed autistic and have struggled with being a bit weird my whole life i had to start my own business because i had problems holding a job with sleep disorders and high ethics.. but managed to stay in business the last 40 years without needing to advertise or even carry a card, i run a lawn and tree service and do all phases of construction and kind of an inventor on the side after six years of development i figured out a disaster response product that could help millions worldwide .. then my insurance agent forgot to post a payment back in 2020 and the state took everything i worked the last 40 years for away .. stuck at home like a prisoner i came online and saw people helping others so i started making videos explaining hat i was. trying to do to get help and found out if the platform your uploading to doesn't promote you your just talking to your phone, and then i see stuff like this and get jealous because i will never write a song that gets peoples attn like this. so my chances are fading. and it's scary as hell to think of all that could be, but it may all be lost because one person forgot to hit enter on there keyboard..

He's an amazingly generous performer, sharing the spotlight and working seamlessly with other musicians (and apparently without ego, but that's a bit of romanticizing on my part, I guess). That Nina Simone Cover of ‘By the Water’ is mind blowingly good. Ren is a fabulous vocalist but what shows the quality of that band ( The Big Push), is that it’s not even certain he’s the best vocalist in the band.
One thing i'm loving so much in watching new people discover ren and experience this is how ren's openness and vulnerability has opened up so many other lovely human beings like yourself

should you choose to listen to his 'London trilogy' and I think you most certainly should, Jenny's Tale, Screech's Tale, and Violets Tale is the correct order. It simply brilliant.

Like you i'm a metalhead, but this piece of art was just out of this world.
I would argue that it doesn't really matter how this translate to stage because the implicit message it carries through this video is far superior and important than any live performance.
Some music and some art is just meant to be heard and experienced in solitude and this is one of those pieces in my opinion.
I think i can even go as far as to say that this is probably on par with Shakespeare but in modern form.
It is relatable to pretty much every single person in the world.
Regardless of the severity of our struggles we can all relate to the inner struggle he depicts.
