Like in my case, I tried for years to earn my family's love and respect only to realize over time that they had none for themselves so how could they ever give any to me. I was so far gone and immature. I was literally trapped. I hated myself so much to the point I made my friends and ex boyfriend cry because I couldnt just be happy. I couldn't see everything they saw. But here I am now. Im almost 18 and I love myself more than my closest friends love me. I found something that helps me every second of the day and it never once was medication or a doctor. I no longer depend on others and I no longer worry about anyone leaving me. I have fears, I have faults, but my god I have the best version of me ill ever want. I love myself, im strong, independent, loyal, so special and highly unique. You all can find who you are and learn the true meaning of worth and happiness. I believe in you no matter what! I dedicate this song to my 28 year old son that I had to disown. He started abusing me around 20. He got so bad that he'd beat me black and blue, take my keys when I'd get home, lock me in my room. He was controlling and hurting and stealing from me. I eventually said Enough's Enough. He said he was going to kill me. I called the cops,had him arrested and have never looked back.
