Guitarist Joel Shoemaker is on Bass @ 2:28 - he passed away 13 years ago today, on April 1, 2006. He was a virtuoso guitarist and a good guy, he taught me how to play. RIP Joel.
I was at this show but can't believe it was around 34 years ago. Aussie singer Col Joye was the compere and saw Jerry Lee off the stage, and to my surprise Col performed well. It was a mixed bill. I can only remember an appearance by Mary Wilson, Ex-Supremes and I think Lesley Gore. Maybe Chuck Berry too! I guess more of the performers appear on these youtube clips. Will probably check. Trev.

Had Presley have performed here in Melbourne Australia, do you think he would have required a huge support act? Yes, a great guy. I got to know him on UK tours in the 80s, and stayed at his home in 2005 (sadly he was in poor health by then).
