Elegant crested tinamou eggs and chicks

Hatching eggs and rearing chicks of the Elegant crested tinamou (Eudromia elegans) from Southern Chile and Argentina. To start them eating I use Chinese painted quail chicks, which start eating easier then the tinamous do.

I've got a GFC styrofoam incubator that hatches very well :-)
Where did you get your fertile Tinamous eggs? I can't wait until we bring the Moa back using these birds :-D

How well did these fare in the states? I read somewhere that about 7-9 species of the 46 plus, are endangered? San Antonio zoo used to have some bit they don't anymore. Super worried about this bird, too amazing to let slip off the face of the Earth.... I hope you still do this

Hia man just got a quick question on getting these guys started feeding IV got hatched that was a pain but feeding now and more eggs on the way about 12 fertile so was this first one normal are they a hard bird to get started of are they normally ok tried every trick I no but any tips would be great thanks man good video 🐣🐣🐥🐥
