You may like to check the MV of "Universe." It's a beautiful ballad and their vocals shine in it. D.O. had been the best vocalist among the three main vocalists when EXO were rookies, but now I can't really tell. Chen's skills and phrasing keep getting better and now his singing is almost excellent, and that makes him the best one if the genre is a ballad. But when it comes to R&B, D.O. is my personal favorite because I love the soul in his voice, and he is the one who can do impeccable runs. As for Baekhyun, he is always good. His collab with LOCO, "Young," is incredible. (For Chen, his solo "Beautiful Goodbye" and "May We Bye" (collab with OneStar) are 2 songs I highly recommended. So what you saw as part of the background in this performance was in the beginning the golden gates of the city were there and as the performance went on the gates opened to reveal the mountain and SM's depiction of what they think the city might look like. That is why EXO was all in gold outfits and I think the lights they danced around were to represent objects they had to navigate through in their search for the city. At the end when they make the X with the light sticks its to represent the X in EXO, but its also to represent the X you would find on a treasure map that marks where the treasure would be. In the end X marks the spot and EXO is the treasure. LOL Explorers and Indiana Jones-type treasure hunters are always searching for the lost city of El Dorodo thinking if they ever find it it will be the key to riches and gold. Legends have it that its a magical city that can only be found by those who it wants to find it and some stories say it could have something to do with aliens or otherworldly beings. That's why this song works so well for EXO because EXO's origin story is that they are aliens from Planet EXO who came to Earth with super powers in order to protect the mythical Tree of Life. El Dorado," etc. There have been several fictional movies made about the search for El Dorado and there even have been TV programs and documentaries, etc. about real life explorers who have searched for the city thinking they can prove it was a real place and, at least in part, the stories could be true.
chen is the best in my opinion because of everything he can do and his range and technique, but my FAVORITE voice would be D.O. because he has such a smoothe and agile voice, he's usually doing a lot of the runs and adlibs haha. and baekhyun would be third best for me just because of those two facts but then again theyre all good at different things

I would say that Chen is probably the best singer in terms of technique and range, but I prefer DO's tone and lower register to his vocals. He sings a lot of R&B and has the most incredible runs/ad-libs.

Chen with the high notes, rock type of voice, Baekyhun also with high notes and very stable voice, D.O- with his R&B style voice and very smooth runs...Chanyeol the rapper can sing so well well too ( he has husky deep soothing voice). Suho, the leader, is a good singer too, he is in broadway. Lay n Xiumin are good singers too- they can also hit the high notes ... Kai and Sehun are rappers that can sing too... all of them are very good in singing and dancing...

I do get amazed with someone who can hit the highest notes but personally my most favorite in EXO is Baekhyun. He may not be as a belter as Chen and not crazy good as DO's runs but Baek's falsetto voice is to die for. He has amazing control of his voice. I call it the most relable voice in EXO. It's hard to rank them from good to worst...they are all good in their own terms. They ve got unique voice but when they harmonize they synchronize heavenly. They are truly angels....
The main vocalists are typically the best in singing in a group. The main vocalists of EXO are D.O., Chen, and Baekhyun. These three are honestly in a league of their own.

Chen, Baekhyun and D.O. ( they are one of the best vocals in the industry) they are all very good singers. they have their own style. Chen with the high notes, rock type of voice, Baekyhun also with high notes and very stable voice, D.O- with his R&B style voice and very smooth runs...Chanyeol the rapper can sing so well well too ( he has husky deep soothing voice). Suho, the leader, is a good singer too, he is in broadway. Lay n Xiumin are good singers too- they can also hit the high notes ... Kai and Sehun are rappers that can sing too... all of them are very good in singing and dancing...

I do get amazed with someone who can hit the highest notes but personally my most favorite in EXO is Baekhyun. He may not be as a belter as Chen and not crazy good as DO's runs but Baek's falsetto voice is to die for. He has amazing control of his voice. I call it the most relable voice in EXO. His is the kind of voice I fall asleep to. He can blend his voice with anyone he is singing with.
