- This problem is with the Pinion and Gear of Mechanism which operates the Analog mechanical type speedometer assembly of Motorcycle/scooter. In this video we will see how to replace the defective Pinion and Gear of wheel Hub. This problem is of Suzuki Access old model.The Speedometer and Milemeter Assembly of this Access was not working. Milemeter Assembly and Cable were new and the defect was in Pinion and Gear assembly.

Your video timing and my scooter problem is so same-timed. I am having grinding noise (kind of clutch bell rotation sound but from front wheel) when decelerating and speedometer not working issue for past few days.
I changed the axle rod myself and checked bearing, and all was ok. Suspension and frame is also straight with no handle drag but couldnot fix the noise.
Now, I know what happen.

Bhai mere new activa deluxe 6 month hi hiwa hai. Speedometer properly kam nhi kar rha hai. Meter ki nidle 20/30 aane se gadi bilkul slow ho jata. Actually 0 tak aane se gadi slow hona sahiye lekin mera 20 tak aane se gadi bilkul slow ho jata. Aur kabhi kabhi accelerator kam karne time krik krik awaj aata aisa lagta ki front wheel me kuch touch ho rha. Kya problem ho sakta bhai.

Bhaiya gearbox ke Jo bearings hote hai wo kitne Kms par kharab hote hai aur hum kaise pta kre ki ye kharab hore hai ya change krne ki jrurat hai aur total activa mein kitne bearings hote hai gearbox mein jrur reply kriyega .
Agar oil saahi time pe change kiya jaayai to ye gear ka life bahut hota hai. Mere pass ek oil activa hai 17 years old. Abhi tak gear sahi hai.

Sir, today I try to replace that pinion gear but unfortunately, my mechanic half broke that small nut. Cause he don't have small screwdriver.
Sir, please suggest me how can I pull that half broken bolt( no head or gap). Even in showroom secondhand parts asking price Rs 1400 to 1500.

So sad that you are facing problem. You can remove that broken part by driling. Use proper bit size. Do rethreading after drilling. From next time be carefull while working with such small screw. It becomes big issue once it is damaged.

I think its better to not put grees on the pinion it may attach muds and sands.
