Today we're gonna build a very EASY string duper farm which gives a lot of string and emerald! I hope you guys enjoy it!
Welcome to this EASY EMERALD FARM tutorial in Minecraft 1.20+! In this step-by-step guide, you'll learn how to construct a highly efficient String farm / String duper that allows you to quickly gather tons of emeralds from trading with villagers in Minecraft. You can build this in minecraft Survival!

guys just a heads up when its not working. ( IT WILL NOT WORK IN SERVERS ) ive tried it personally in my own server, aternos, hypixel. the only time it works is single and realm. ( Please like this up so people will be aware)
Guys! there are ways to make this in a server but not like this. its really complicated hopefully someone makes a tutorial for it. UPDATE! It works on aternos now idk how any why but i aint complaining hahaha.

For those of you who noticed that the string broke when trying to activate the farm, here's how to fix it:
Make sure that you built the farm facing south.
Make sure that you're facing east and crouching while breaking the string
Break the right string
Make sure all the trapdoors are closed before you break the string
And make sure you're in a singleplayer world/realm.

@@uncopylox92 nah i face mine north ant broke right string not crouching and it works i have 4x4 row with double chests and hoppers loaded

For those who couldn't do it even after making sure direction and everything is correct, just keep trying and reloading your world, it took me a couple of tries and reloading my world. This works on java not bedrock and not in servers. Idk about version but i did this on 1.20.4

Yay it worked thank you I’ve got more string then I know what to do with and have 5 villagers who can barely keep up the only limit now seems to be how fast I can sell thank you! Also I’ve seen a few comments saying they struggled with it so just for context I built this on Java 1.21 and I had to left click not right click it to start it up I also didn’t know how to check what Direction I was building it in but apparently did it right first try but that’s one thing that could explain why it’s not working for some
That tends to be a problem I watch out for becuase I’m redoing everything becuase I have a farm backwards

crazy good farm for ems and exp. You can do multiple villagers around it and with the 10 villagers I have, I got a little above 1 stack of emerald blocks and went from lvl 14 to 41 + 1 lvl 30 enchanct and with those 4 double chest is more than enough.
just build a raid farm, it gives me like 35.000 emeralds and from lvl 0-300 in an hour. Also gives like a double chest full of redstone, a double chest full of glowstone, and a double chest full of gunpowder.

also you can add more chest onto the ones you already have, and get more villigers for more xp and ems i get 7 stacks evreytime i do it

GUYS!! Idk why this worked for me but thought I would share it. it doesn’t work through curse forger (1.21). I just manually installed the mods I had then played normally (1.21) and built it as shown in the video, only exception is I did the block with the lever on the opposite trap door facing the opposite way that he does in the video. Only thing is I have to break the block and place it and the lever back each time I want to run the farm again! Hope this helps someone !!
Edit: I now don’t even have to break the block and replace it , works perfectly as shown in the video

Just so everyone knows, the whole machine has to be within a chunk, if it crosses over 2 chunks it will not work.
if it doesn't work try switching the side of the block with the lever it worked for me

Of course I had to stumble across this AFTER I've built a spider spawner farm and a sheep shearing farm!!! I was convinced this wouldn't work, but I'm now a proud owner of this cheese string farm!!
It works on Servers. I tried for over an Hour so heres what I noticed:
make sure to sneak wiht sheers, the direction of the lever is important, make sure the water flows like in the video. Basically copy everything 1 to 1 everything is important

It works on Java 1.21 you just have to instantly right click after left clicking with shears on the string

you can only trade 12 times before the villagers are out of stock and u can do this twice a day and u got 10 villagers. so 12x2x10 = 240 emeralds. so you got a little less then 4 blocks

It's easier to do this if you set the frame rate to 10fps. This way, it will work in both mod and optifine environments. You can set the method from the video settings

It kinda does work if you play in the server, but it only duplicates only once not constantly, it is useful if you want some string to make a bow or fishing rod. Also it only works singleplayer if you don't have Forge.

@@CT.KILLERRR It does work, I think you need to do every instruction in the video exactly as it says otherwise it doesn't work.
for people wondering, you have probably seen a few comments saying it doesn't work in servers. which is partly true. it actually depends on which server "jar" the server is using. i tried making this on my paper server jar but didn't work. so i switched my spigot/craftbukkit and the duper started to work. this dupe will probably work on most servers running spigot. but paper is the more dominant server jar for performance.

to any of those struggling to get this to work, I made this in my singleplayer world and I copied it 1 to 1 with the exception being the stone blocks (I used stone bricks). I couldn't get it to work at all, but then I took my shield out of my offhand and it worked fine. If any of you are trying to make it and have a shield or anything in your off hand it isn't working despite copying everything, try taking the item out of your offhand.

Can someone help me with the strings because on a smp it the string only breaks even tho I left click on it. CAN SOMEONE PLS HELP I AM STRUGGILING FOR 4 HOURS CAUSE OF THIS STRING. I tried to find mods and stuff that can help not to break the string but nothing.

u left click once the string closest to you and it will make a sound. i think it only works on singleplayer

if i shift leftclick it brakes the string and when i activate it it dosent do anything but detroy the other string and if i activate the hooks and then use the lever it just gives me one extra string each time i dot it pls help
if you are on a server it will not work
You need to switch the lever just after you do the part with the shears. It worked the second time I did it, this time I didn't wait at all to press the lever.

In the newer editions, they actually patched the infinite villager trade thing and they made it so that if you trade a villager 1 thing for too long it just stops selling it to you.

Guys its 1.21 and i tried it. It still works. It didnt work for me at first it took a couple of tries and patients. After like 10 tries of trying to shear the string it worked. I got so much ems from it. 👍

This wasn't working for me until I found out that you have to switch from forge back to the original latest release. Once you load your world in the latest release, do it, then switch back to forge . This is what I did and it worked!

Everyone that cant seem to get this working on their minecraft server probably has Paper server running instead of Vanilla. To make this work on paper you have to:
1. Locate your servers "File manager" or "Server" folder.
2. Locate your config folder and open it.
3. Inside the folder is a file called paper.global.yml. Open that and scroll to the bottom.
4. Under "unsupported-settings", find "allow-tripwire-disarming-exploits" and change this from false to true.
5. Save the file and restart the server.

Actually, you don't need build it certain direction. Just put 4 temporary block under the strings and traphooks, then use shears's left click on one of the strings and break temporary blocks. So, you can build it any direction you want with this method.

if u cant do this step 1:54 with forge (1.21) just change the forge mod to the lastest release one and do that step it will work and btw you can change back to forge mod if u want to it still work tho hope this can help u guys
