Today's topic: something that only comes along once in a while... stereo on stereoids as I call it. In this 3rd part of the interview series with Arian, let's check out his SHI - SonoruS Holographic Imaging process which takes stere to a whole new surround sound level. Truly amazing and if you have a tape player, I strongly suggest you get an SHI tape and hear it for yourself... you'll never listen to stereo again! Arian and I met through the local club for audiophiles, and he invited me to hear several SHI processed tapes at his home. The SHI process is real, it is grounded in sound physics and mathematics, and its sonic effect is unmistakably positive. As he said in one of these videos, the process restores spatial information that's essential for a realistic impression of a large ensemble or orchestra. If you know what live music sounds like, you'll hear it also. There's a cost associated with tape decks, which not everyone is prepared to pay. I've not yet bought one. But if you love music enough to have a high-end home system, you should arrange to hear the SHI process for yourself. And until I part with the $ to own a Sonorus tape deck and some tapes, I will enjoy learning from Arian. It's a privilege to have met him.
Fantastic, glad you had a chance to experience this - I remember back when he was still doing shows, that his room was always packed with a cue out the door... the experience as you said, is "real" for both of his processes, SHI and the Proximity Bass Controller... The tape decks are of course superb too, next episode will be about his ATR-10 Mk II. Thanks for tuning in!
I think SHI is applying a Bacch Filter eliminating crosstalk from two speakers to the ears of the listener in a typical stereo configuration and records the filtered music file…. Quite smart in my opinion, especially as a business model as described, congratulations!
Danny I know at one time and there seemed to have a little hype behind it but it disappeared overnight. What happened with developing the HD High Def Records and Equipment?
Hey-0... Well, I think the usual: the audiophile clap-trap crowd that prefers to hang out on forums shows little interest because it upsets the horsecart too much. They'd rather be stuck in VHS-land than actually moving the puck forward into he 21st century. Nothing new really... His equipment and such is basically a made-to-order bespoke operation - the most visible sign of which are the tape machines which are in demand by those who appreciate what he does.
@@SonicFlare Yeah I don't think so. I don't have a real, nor do I have any plans to buy one. however I am interested in the electronics. So if I could insert a device in my audio equipment, that would work better for me.
I’ll let Arian chime in on details if he wants, alas, based on my knowledge, SHI is a very different and much more complex system compared to what Bob did or QSound and similar such filtered processes of which there are quite a few.
Love it. Stereofools hahaha. They all h8 Bose 901s when only omni directional speakers can reproduce music authentically and thats why Amar Bose was a genius and they are not💃🕺💃🕺💃🕺

If only life was that simple. BACCH Labs does a lot of interesting things, but it has a lot of limitations for use with High End audio.
Hmmmmm pretty sure that’s not what he does. 😂 thanks for tuning in!
Plus, it’s digital.

@@SonicFlare Thank you Danny!!!
I wonder if this is just another flavor of expanded stereo which has been around for a long time. I hope it's an improvement.
Simple answers… a) carefully watch the entire interview; b) order a tape and hear for yourself.

How is SHI similar or different compared to Bob Carver’s Sonic Holography?

Here in North central Ct, we’re waiting the Big Storm too….
SNOW! Can't wait!!!
Porter rules - ps nice glasses too
hahahahaha, thanks, I'll let him know! Mr. Handsome. 🥰 Thanks for turning in!

Amar was a smart cookie, but also an even more brilliant marketer… (and litigator).
Totally handwaving presentation, and most likely snake-oil
I think you really are on to something!
Always funny to see how so many people can judge and dismiss something without ever listening to it.
