What a spectacular video, man! Here in Brazil we don't receive the Clio RS, but there is a legion of fans here, so much so that many owners convert their cars bringing parts from Europe to be as close as possible to a legitimate RS. Brazilian greetings.
Thanks so much for your kind comment - it is great to hear that you enjoyed the video. That RS Clio 172 is a great car and is now back with a previous owner, who originally bought it in 2008! Please subscribe if you haven't already as we have lots more modern classic cars to feature!
Thanks so much for the kind comment - much appreciated. We are only 6mths into making TH-cam content, but really enjoying it and it's great to hear from anyone who has enjoyed a feature. You'll love your 172 Cup; they are tremendous cars. If you like your hot hatches then do stay tuned. Good luck with your car.
Currently driving 172 around as a courtesy car while my fiesta st200 is in the garage. For a 20 year old car wow what fun to drive the steering is sharp and pointy and the 2.0 l 16 v engine suits the car so much. It has definitely surprised a lot of cars on my commute to and from work. If you ever get a chance to drive or own one definitely go for it. You won't be disappointed
Thanks for the comment. Great comparison, jumping from an ST200 (which is a brilliant car) into an older RenaultSport 172 and enjoying the way it drives is great to know. They certainly are fantastic little cars, but do stick with that ST200 as it is very special. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the comment - good to hear from previous owners of the cars. The RenaultSport Clio can certainly take a decent drive, so good to know it has been enjoyed. Thanks for watching.
172 Phase 1 have almost the same half leather/half alcantara seats. Difference is in all leather support section and I have colorful Renault sport logo on them in my Clio.
Clio 2 RS was indeed the 'best bang for the buck' hot hatch, only thing letting it down was the cheap plastics Renault used on the interior. Personally i think he front of the Phase 2 looks a lot better then the Phase 1 (looks a bit sad).
Thanks for watching and for the comment - the Clio RS certainly was and continues to be a very decent hot hatch. Please do subscribe as we have lots of 80s, 90s and 00s hot hatches to come.
@@cornishcarcollectors Sweet, looking forward to it! Got 90's hot hatch myself. An almost as new 1993 Renault 19 16v Phase 2 (LHD) with a low boost turbo converted 2.0 16v (F7R) does about 230HP/320Nm.
We are in Torpoint @@blakeyuk1981. Thanks for the feedback - early days for us on the channel so far, but lots more cars in the collection to feature and enjoying making the videos.
Thanks for watching and getting in touch - we actually have an MG ZR160, ZS180, ZT260 V8 and MGF Trophy 160. We will be featuring them all over our next 10 videos, with the MG ZR160 likely to be the first (it is currently being painted). Please do subscribe and keep an eye on the channel. Thanks again.

The new owner of a 172 here! Recently bought really enjoying so far!
Really great to hear from you and glad to know you are enjoying the car. Also, thanks so much for watching.
This video is superb! Really informative and well made. I’m collecting a 03 172 Cup from Cornwall on Sunday!

Great to hear from you - thanks so much for watching and really pleased you enjoyed it. Thanks also for subscribing... lots more to come!
Had these here in South Africa too. We had all the best of Euro hot hatchbacks. Even the MG ZT made it here
Thanks for watching - we'll be featuring the ZR very soon, but we also have an MG ZT so keep an eye out for that video!
Ayyy Goodjob for 100 sub i hope you and laurence are doing well!
Btw im from his old school
Thanks for the sub! Keep watching.
This was my friends old 172! Haha he ragged the absolute balls off of it 😂

Thanks for the comment and information. Hope you enjoyed the video.
Appreciate your taste in hot hatches.. but the id say at 25mph the chances of the bonnet flipping up on you would be fairly minimal.
Thanks for watching, I appreciate the comment. 👍
I'm lucky enough to own a 172 cup and 182 FF. My wife keeps telling me to sell one of them but I can't part with either of them 😄
Thanks for the comment. Sounds like you have two nice cars there, so do keep hold of them.

Is that the road to Torpoint?
I had a 172 & 182 from new, cracking cars. Sold the 182 for a 255 back in 2004. Still got the V6 now.
Thanks for watching - it is indeed the Torpoint road, here in Cornwall. Hope you enjoyed the video and it sounds to me like you have a very nice car.
@@cornishcarcollectors I thought it was based on the poor road surface 😂. I know it well as a I’m based in Saltash.

6.5 to 60... lolllllllllllll.
You don't understand the purpose of a small hot hatch
@@brainfeargone I own a track version, I know what I'm talking about.
Are you referring to this as slow? Lol
I own a track version too... but in standard form these do not accelerate that quickly...
It’s kind of what to expect from a cheap NA hatchback haha 6.5 / 7 seconds is pretty reasonable
