I don’t often comment on videos but I just want to say you are a fine individual. It’s refreshing to get a balanced perspective on what it means to invest in your dog! Keep it up and thank you.
I would definitely buy a “You’re a find animal “ t- shirt Stonnie. Get your marketing people on it !! I’m so glad I found your channel. Dogs are a gift from God to us, and you Sir are turning that gift into a blessing for so many of us who sometimes get lost in all the confounding advice out there. You inspire and you make sense ! Keep up the great work mate !!
My little rescue puppy (collie mix) had bald patches all over her face and a lot of swelling. She was a day away from being put to sleep because no one wanted to take her home. The day before her death date I found her and we had her for 10 years! Best thing we ever did! Dixie was the best dog and lived the best life. Forever missed. Lots of love for your videos Stonnie.
I had a puppy in my litter of English black labs that had strangles. I named her Trooper, cause she was such a trooper! I took her with me everywhere and kept her longer till she was well. I remember the day she found her home, a couple came to look at my dogs and Trooper chose them. She went right over and laid down on the moms feet and that was it❤ love
My dog had constant urinary tract infections the first 6 months and was a nightmare!!! She was too irritated to learn and listen. I tried to keep that in mind when training her, but it was frustrating. Once the infections stopped she was able to listen better, but we are still playing catch-up at a year old, and she is becoming a great dog. Thank you for this video. It’s hard to understand what’s going on when you are in the middle of health problems and behaviors are not what you expected.
Vito is a fine dog! So happy his family didn't give up on him! I have a 9 month old pup that I rescued at 3 weeks with her 5 litter mates, she had swimmers syndrome, something I never knew about. My husband said we should put her down, but I watched a video and taped her back legs together for a week and with therapy she turned out great! I wasn't going to give up on her!She is a awesome dog. Thanks to you sir and your lovely camera man! You inspire me.😊
Thank you for another awesome video with a solid message behind it! You are a treasure Stonnie! Vito is a fine animal, good boy! Happy to see him living his best life now. Take care!
@@StonnieDennis thanks. Poor guy is very inflamed today. About 3 weeks in on the Prednisone/antibiotic/ear drops treatment. He is a 12 week old Labradoodle.
@@monsterlwd actually I don't think it did. His snout stayed bloody and crusty for a long while, but it finally healed up, and his fur has all grown back. We are almost through the first month of weaning off steroids. Just 5 more weeks to go!
My friend's golden survived a very bad case of puppy strangles. Several times we didn't think he'd make it and the medicines were brutal on him, but now he's over it and having a great life. He has a lot more scarring on his face than Vito and he has allergy problems but he's a sweetheart and a character.

I always wondered, where your wife is. Now I know. And the camera didn't wobble, when Stonnie gave his marriage advice. That's self-control! Much love.
Yup - and He did not give up on us either!!!! Thanks Stonnie for a great insight into not giving up on those who are challenged at the start! Bob Jarrar
Sending gratitude and well wishes from Australia. Your videos are so helpful and our dog loves to watch your dogs, especially the fetching drills - his nose is glued to the TV and I have to wipe the marks off!
It’s very nasty had a pup with this,he did make a full recovery. The vet new right away and said had not seen it for years and then a few cases popped up.Great videos thank you.
So great that Vito had such dedicated owners. They showed commitment in bringing him to you. You are soooo fortunate to have a great camera woman. How did you get so lucky?
I’m in a similar situation. I adopted a 4 year old Black Lab in March that is heart worm positive. He had had his first injection yesterday and is now on house arrest for the next 8 weeks! It’s going to be hard keeping a high energy dog on lockdown. I have high hopes at eventually getting him hunt trained but most of all giving him a good life that he deserves. I think that he was probably purchased to be a family pet and not a working dog. Gun dogs rule! 😎
I would love to see how you are teaching that dog to "out" the bumper. My dog does the same thing sometimes - she wants to tug rather than give it back.
Stonnie PLEASE set up an Amazon link with the tools you use. I’d love to find that whistle and clicker set and would happily buy from your amazon link. Same with the leads
My old lab had that same thing happen and yeah prednisone helped. But it was a struggle. I really think it was from either eating deer feces or bad local water. The guy had a great life and it didn’t effect him until his later years. Rip Jumping Jack flash
You really should sell some hats and t-shirts with a dog silhouette that read, “ you’re a fine animal!” People would love those. Well, normal people, not the snowflakes who would be offended by your labeling a dog an animal.
@@StonnieDennis I can't thank you enough for your videos, Stonnie. I'm getting a Great Dane in about 3 months and your library of videos have helped give me the confidence in training it to be a service dog :-)
Unrelated to this video, but I was wondering how often do you need to change the water in your metal dog pool? Looks like the 8' size from what I can see in your videos. I'd like to get one, my dogs love to swim but all the waters around here are full of alligators.
My dog didn’t get socialized because of Covid. Do you have any tips to bring her to the dog park and not be terrified? Our other dogs love the park, but because it was closed during that crucial socialization time, and people couldn’t come near her she is a mess!
Wow, l recently had cellulitis in my finger and hand, from a thorn that was lodged in a finger. I wonder if that's what happens to dogs, digging and foraging and unfortunately getting some kind of foreign matter stuck under their skin .. Keep on fighting Vito !, and bless your owners :)
My puppy have the same problem right now it’s been 2 weeks already can’t seem to get any better 😥any idea how long can it take for this problem to go away I feel so bad for the poor guy
