Wow, never heard anyone describe Cobra this way. I love it! As a sessional lager, nothing touches it, IMO. Love the malt undertone and it's smoothness as a lager. Love a good IPA too but can only really enjoy a couple of pints at a time. Cobra is my go to, Madri a close second. I own pubs and restaurants. Have Cobra, Birra Moretti, Madri, Corona, Jaipur IPA, Guinness, Cold River, Strongbow Dark Fruits all on draught with a few additional rotating. Cobra outsells everything by a country mile 🤷♂️
Cobra beer is the best! So smooth, lovely flavour, incredibly refreshing. No other lager really touches it for me. 😁 Even better on draught. It used to be 5% then 4.7% now 4.5%. The original beer was very different. You can still get a beer from the original Cobra brewer called Mongoose.
Don’t mind a pint of it at the curry house generally well oiled beforehand, agree that it’s not one that I’d want in the house or order in a pub. We tend to get kingfisher and mongoose in a lot of curry houses near us, neither of which are very inspiring but they go down well with a nice ruby murray.
Yeah, I totally agree. My journey Into the world of "not pub" beers started several years ago.. and I haven't looked back since. Having tried dubbels, tripels, dunkels, Wheats, helles, pilsners, sours (and so on).. Im dabbling in a catergory i don't know much about.. kellerbiers. Tried one the other day - "hohenthanner dunkel kellerbier"... and I cannot find one that beats it. Any recommendations??
It`s a great beer, very refreshing. Made by Molson Coor`s under licence in Ireland. It`s made with Irish spring water and apart from tasting good that is a big winner for me. Most UK beers are made with crappy tap water which is vile. I am a snob and I like good beer, this is one.

I tried that westvleteren 12 you said to Try too by the way. It arrived on the day my daughter was born (coincidence) ha. Great suggestion. Thank you!
Most of the German Breweries produce a Keller Bier or an Unfiltered Bier.
Weihenstephaner 1516 takes some beating.
@@superslashcd Congratulations and glad you enjoyed the beer on that special occasion.
@@TheBierHooligan thanks dude! Weihenstephaner is my favourite brewery!! So il be trying that then 👍

I think you really need to discover real beer personally?
@@TheBierHooligan It's an opinion, pal. Some people like it. Perhaps you should just accept that.
@@lacriless seriously if you know your beer this is shocking stuff!
Indian Beer??....what the fuck you on about?...we can't even find this in India.
Horrible atuff. It used to be good stuff, but it's not now. Beware the beers brewed under licence.
I like it.
All you had to say was Molson/Coors took over....I knew that was bad! lol.
Hope your well mark, Thats how I see it ,a drink with a curry at 2 in the morning..veltins pilsner is ace ..only had 1 a month back ...its great stuff
Exactly!
@@TheBierHooligan I had the stronger one called king cobra
It's only good for putting in your slug traps!
Hahaha!
Didn't think you review this last thing i expect
I was given the bottle, so in that case, what the hell. I wouldn't of paid for it.
It's good that you're doing reviews on these low quality beers because people really do need educating in this country.
Cheers Sean! Trouble is i hate drinking them!
Pretty sure it’s not an Indian beer produced by Molson Coors in Burton upon Trent! Just Coors with a different label 👎🏼
You could be right as this beer is now shocking!
Your right its crap Ray parlour probably likes his Indian curries and the resturant he goes to likes him pushing it nice one mark
Cheers Brian, this beer is nothing like the original we once had in the 90s.
Ow dare u Mister Lad de dah Gunnah 'ooligan denigrate this e beer...push back them shoooldahs lovely boy, lovely boy...
It's shite beer and i don't care if they want to sue me for saying it?
It's not good. If you had the imported version would be better!
Shockingly bad. This might be the reason I've never heard of this beer. Love the intro though.
I was certain this beer turned undrinkable once you compared it to Budweisser.
@@allemachtigprachtig8526 this beer is shite!
Not the quality beer your used to drinking mate lol 😆
I like to review a crap beer once in a while and was glad I was given this, as I wouldn’t of paid for it!
😂😂😂 don't blame u pal couldn't pay for that muck
Its Still better than Tennants tho 😂
Tennants is utter crap i agree!
😂😂😂😂😂
Cobra is nasty, tastes of chemicals.
Budvar is king of the supermarket lagers
