All in one film you have invading other people's dreams, dreams within dreams, getting lost in limbo, the conscious and subconscious, and even thoughts and the formation of ideas. There's a lot to think about after watching a movie like this which is probably why I love it so much!

I think Cobb's totem 6:56 is probably the best idea of a spinning top as a totem. Not only do you know the build and weight of the totem, but also the spinning top would spin forever if you are in a dream. So easy to know if you are in a dream of reality

Hey, you mention that the run time of the movie is 8888 seconds. If you assign each level of the dream worlds in inception, they all get the letter 8.
If you flip 8 sideways you get infinity.
If you look at the range of each level, they should be infinite. Or, like several 3d universes stacked on top of each other. Which oddly is like a dream world.
To be more accurate, while you are dreaming the reality is wierd, but in theory you have infinite space to run around in. But the only way to escape a dream world is to wake up.

I only discovered Inception in 2021 and it went straight to being my favourite film ever. I had a gorgeous bit of synchronicity with it...
I had been writing a graphic novel in my head based on The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance. The album has the motif of a man dying in hospital, and the video to Welcome To The Black Parade shows "the Patient" passing over. I'd envisaged a subjective, shifting afterlife, and came on to Inception to explore things around that.
Imagine my surprise at finding that one of the supporting actors in Inception was the very man who played the Patient in MCR's video: Lukas Haas.
If Kate Winslet signed on for Mal, this movie would have been even more legendary. I can definitely see her in that role despite her not thinking so. As for the potential casts of Ariadne, I think Page was the best fit out of everyone listed. Page had that young, curious and somewhat bratty image you'd expect from a college student which was the perfect vehicle for the Dom's expositions through out the movie. She was arguably the most important casting for communicating the movie's ideas to the audience.
Another fact: The whole plot of the movie is not about planting idea in Fischer's head it's about bringing back Dom to reality and make it seem like something he did on his own
This makes me love Inception even more

What about the theory that this whole thing was an inception meant to make Cobb let go of Mal? The theory goes that he has been a danger when on the job and he's not even being hunted, he just believes he is. He's not "prevented" from going home he's just so sickened by the accidental inception of Mal that he can't look his children in the face. The idea is that Michael Kaine's character arranged for this inception to happen.

also mal died not by jumping off the window but by taking overdose and then dom connected the machine to save her mind in his and locking her in the lower floor of his mind
