I’m 42, I’ve been doing Autocad for years! Now want to mountain bike. Because of my age, and the fact I’ve been tied to a desk job and pretty unfit! I’m scared of falling off! Any tips to crashing …gently? 😂 if not, let me know. I’ll learn the hard way.
I need to get that endo180 down. Easy when off the bike, just awkward balancing my weight. I’m sure it’ll come naturally after I start getting a good carve and swing.
The back hop: Hit the front brake and then pull back, almost like you're going into a ... F A K I E. Right, Blake? The protractor: Ah, yes. A very useful trick on the trails. Who hasn't seen it cutting valuable seconds during those pseky EWS stages?
Blake, I was checking out your whip and have a question. The Nuke is a single speed, why do you still fly a derailleur and not a chain tensioner? Stupid question, maybe, But if I knew the answer I wouldn't ask haa. Thanks, would like to make a single speed this summer also.
How is with a hardtail? When it comes to the bunny hop i can imagine that the lack of suspension might not be wonderful for the back wheel or isn't it a problem?
It is probably easier to do a bunny hop on a hartail becouse you do not have to compress the rear suspenssion. I do not really know tho because i have only ridden hartails or no susspension all my life.
on the nose press 180 Blake : Dam I'm on the wrong trail, I've gotta spin round without touching the ground. Because of course you can't do it by touching the ground. obviously
Hi GMBN, HI Blake - I noticed that your seat is set up with nose up - people called it "Dildo seat" when I had it. Are you suppose to have a flat, leveled seat? Or even put the nose down to compensate the sag?
Due to the fact that he runs singlespeed he needs no shifter cable and also he gave up on a dropper post so he also needs a cable less. This setup looks very clean and is easier to barspin or tailwhip for example, also the lack of a rear derailleur (Blake juses a chain tensioner I think) decreases the chance of something not working properly. With that said the advantages of this setup are very specific and it is rather unpractical for the normal mtber, as it is harder to pedal uphill, thanks to the singlespeed for example.
Manuals and wheelies - still can not get that front wheel up with grace. Always need to brutally and uncontrollable get it off the ground. Getting bum over the axle - pulling handlebar - nothing... But when I am doing it explosively - I have no control not to loop out...
Raise your seat literally as high as it will go. Unless you're actually practicing manuals in which case put the seat all the way down (don't sit for manuals), and instead of pulling with your arms, get the front wheel up by pushing your butt down and backward with your arms straight.
When I was young I had a bicycle with completely messed geometry. It was single speed reverse mullet with 18" wheel at front and 20" at back and the seat was almost over the rear wheel. I discovered lifting my front wheel by accident (just pedaling slightly uphill). Latter I discovered that this is not the best technique but it still does work if you are on the proper gear with the proper speed. If you lean back and just pedal harder you are initiating a wheelie.
Have you tried any of these tricks? What's your favourite trick to try?
#GMBN Blake have 1by1 on his Nookeproof? :D
i like the unprovoked endo into handstand
@@davegee124 I use to do the unprovoked endo with otb and faceplant.

Blake makes it look easy so I try it and eat it hard😂😂
Blake is the spice of this channel. It's like the regular good stuff is fine, but sometimes you'll want it sweeter, saltier or spicier.
Blake, your presentation is so charming and energetic 💪❤️
Ahhhhhh, the famous protractor. Beauty in motion.
Blake presenting an episode of "quick, we need to come up with an episode right now" :P Still enjoyed it haha
Blake: a protractor
Everyone: Compass
Me: is that a circle
I love this guy, he makes me want to go out and bike!
Blake is a legend, such energy and positivity to be admired for. Blake ftw!!!
Love the camera work on the nose press bonk "80?" Zoom, "85?" Zoom, "100..?" Zoom 😂
I didn’t realise you could do a Skandi on the flat 😮.
Now I know what I’ll be doing for the next few evenings 😀
Blake is an absolute mad man with parking lot skills
Doddy is
These "parking lot skills" are pretty fun to learn when you haven't got enough time to ride the trails... I'd really like more of those :)
Have the bars the other way on the no footed track stand Blake, then you can feather the front brake, as it has always made it easier for me...
super cool that they were uncommon tricks not just manual, wheelie blah blah blah. really cool.
I will be trying the PROTRACTOR😂
It's so cute, how Blake thinks I can balance on a bike. I love his cheeky optimism.
This video is exactly what i wanted at this time so thanks!
Blakes teaching skills excel in his delivery 👏
Awesome video! Love your advice and thank You all for entertainment and hard work see you soon
Thank you Gmbn, that was actually very useful
25+ years ago I'd be doing all these,( on a bmx, though)..... fast forward 20 yrs. I'd struggle doing a bunny hop
look so fun to try the trick
Great Video! Very well explained Blake! Thanks for this :-) greets to everyone...

excellent video, thanks !!!
Wow nice slow motion!😂
Thanks for the tricks
Love that single speed setup! What tension pulls do you use? It looks more solid than anything I have found.
Blake gaining more fans. I'm one of them. 👍
An awesome jib-machine bike! What gear do you use for a singlespeed? Thanks for a video! Perfect as usual.
Blake: i have not yet learned this trick, but we are here to learn.
First try: Yes, I've mastered it!!
I think this video has been done like 5 times😂😂 but it is good though
The back hop:
Hit the front brake and then pull back, almost like you're going into a ... F A K I E. Right, Blake?
The protractor:

Still haven’t received the PCs 9.2 bike stand I won on ep 245 of dirt shed show
Me neither but I also didn't win it
What suspension settings does Blake use?
Крутое видео Блэйк👍👍👍😎😎😎💪💪
We used to call the rock wall an "upcurbie" before the Ollie was invented. Yes, I am old
Which tire size is best for tricks
Blake's the best
where can i get this pink helmet, looks awesome!
We need a bike check on Blake's bike!

look carefully, it is a chain tensioner
@@lanternlisam look at 2.00, you sure?
Yea, u can see that there is no mechanisms like a derailleur would have
@@lanternlisam okay cool. thanks.
Just in time for at least 2 more weeks of lockdown here.
wanted to learn how to manual, Im doing ok, but i cant hold it for longer than 4 meters or so, because i end up falling to the sides, any tips?
Ok so I have mastered in no footed trackstand ( also without hands)

1:55 K-KANSEI DORIFTO?!?!
The single speed tho
on the nose press 180

Because of course you can't do it by touching the ground. obviously
I’d like to see how to whip and all the different types
Imagine turning up to the trails and some bloke is bouncing up and down on his back wheel or doing the patractor 😂😂
😂😂😂😂
The backwheel Hop is a quite common sight in the car park of our trail centers/bikeparks. At least where I live.
Blake, can you do more vids with the wife? The couple I have seen was fun to watch.
Can you do these tricks on a coaster bike
Please do the hardtail so we can learn for that buddy ride safe
Crab rave over the crab bit
0:03 can you do it on water??
Nice video
jheez bad man blake
you know nose bonks are fun when you do them and almost stack on a track you have ridden once Thx mystic mtb park

Anyone know what those sick shoes are that Blake has on? If you know the brand let me know! Thank you in advance!
I’ll just stick to the protractor
looks so hard but easy
Top🔥
Can you do this with a hardtail not all of us have a full squish
Most of this stuff is actually easier on a hard tail. You won’t have the suspension sapping your energy 👍
Early af hah
Love this kind of videos

Wow
Makes me a little bit worried when Blake's actually starting the ride with pads....
Anyone else only realising Blake took his shifters and dropped off?
Im a newbie to mtb, but why does it look like Blakes bike has fewer cables, hoses on his bike...??
Due to the fact that he runs singlespeed he needs no shifter cable and also he gave up on a dropper post so he also needs a cable less. you forgot the crank flip
i wonder if they just let blake go or have a few guidelines
Hey, I'm the 8th comment.
I'm here to vouch for Carissa's 8th comment or status.
man,up to now I can't even do a decent trackstand

Why doesn’t any of these videos have crank flip in them?
no footer with a trek knock block. anybody?
Protractor for Compass. Inertia for Momentum. Me thinks too much coffee has confused the Engineering education.
The crap can i do a little bit but im getting better at it
Im early today
how many times have you guys made this exact video
Can I learn this on a 500 dolar hardtail
3:20 Why?.... Just... Why?....
What knee pads is he wearing?
They’re Dainese but not sure on the “model”
2nd
Why the hell would you want to do the compass?? Was this added as a joke 😅
O
I can't even lift my front wheel 5cm from the ground.
Try compressing your shock to use as a spring

Why would you have your seat high learning to wheelie ? ... are you high?
First
What in the name of sam hell is a "car park"?
Plss give me any bike
Most all of these tricks have no application to mtb riding.
I think you're ready for bull riding.
