That "heavy eviscerator" you got is perfect Breadley. You can feel safe in upgrading it as much as you like as the base stats are exactly what you want. 😁
Your ability Fury Of The Faithful (the dash) restores 50% of your Toughness. With two charges, you can go from 0% to 100% Toughness instantly. Use it whenever you are low. Do not "keep it for later". Being at full Toughness is they key to survival.
Nice ! I see those gold weapons ! now the next step is to empower them, as you earn mastery with weapons, all weapons can be upgraded to 500 ! For painting minis, look up Duncan Rhodes, i'm sure you can still find PLENTY of official games workshop videos as well as his own youtube channel now, he was one of their official painters and does alot of guides/tip based videos for painters of all skill levels Just another tip, always remember the AI Director is an invisible force ALWAYS ACTIVELY TRYING TO KILL YOU, - speed running ? it will spawn more elites and specials ? - running to far away from team ? it will spawn specials on that persons location - each map has hard spawned mobs and patrols - the ai directors spawns hordes/specials/elites based on the current game state, it is smart, and remember while it's not a pvp game, IT IS your enemy In regards to the daemonhost, welcome to darktide ! most enemies have 1-2 of 3 things Speed/damage/tankiness the daemonhost in lore and in game is one of the most dangerous enemies in the universe, in gameplay terms it has Speed, Damage AND tankiness, as well as a dps check (corruption) consider it the witch of left 4 dead or the first gold knight of elden ring, it's ok and recommended to leave the tortured soul alone, lest the daemon be awoken and claps your cheeks lmao, doesn't mean you can't beat it though ! There is a ton more about the game, Darktide is INCREDIBLY in-depth just in the ai director i could give another 20+ tips but again experience the game on your own and over time you will learn more, don't feel bad about not being able to climb difficulties quickly, it's definitely one of the harder/hardest live service games and that's why we love it
500! Holy butts, that's awesome! And I'll be searching up Duncan Rhodes tonight as well, thanks for letting me know about him! The AI director feels like it'll have a blast with me since I always find myself separated from my team while look for things like the Herectical idols or just opening doors lmao The Daemonhost is the scariest thing I've seen yet in Darktide and I wanna kill it with fire I agree with your end point here a lot. The difficulty and challenge is what is super intriguing to me. Being able to see my progress improving in real time is so appealing and fun. Happy I picked this game up, gonna be my main live service game for a long time.
@@akabreadley one last thing, don't feel bad about experimenting with all the blessings, again they all combo differently and lead to some cool playstyles (refining a weapon allows you to change both perks, and re-blessing as the name suggests allows you to pick and choose what blessings you want on your weapon after unlocking them in the mastery page) the one's you were using in this video were far from "good" even at this difficulty and blessing tier, so again i won't steer you too much, just encourage more experimenting !
8:00 - Classic mistake :) You gotta be careful at those one way drop downs. Once your teammates drop down, they can't get back up to save you. 12:30 - Welcome to your first Daemonhost! They are relatively easily avoidable in most situations. Just don't walk near them, don't shine flashlights at them. Whoever wakes them up gets singled out for almost certain death, and then it leaves. It is theoretically possible to manfight them, but it requires perfect dodging, blocking and an insanely OP build, or a shield ogryn waking them up and tanking them for the team. Personally, I can maybe beat a Daemonhost 5% of the time, if I'm lucky and there's nothing else going on (no hordes or specialists around). It's way safer to just avoid them. 19:00 - Nope, rarity by itself doesn't increase damage. It adds more perks & blessings, which might increase damage (or give other benefits) 30:30 - Yup, pushing them counts as staggered. Unfortunately, the enemies with armor all have high enough hit mass they can't be pushed in that way, so the rending doesn't trigger. In terms of lore stuff, I can't recommend this video enough to get a better basic grasp of it: th-cam.com/video/xCGKPRiJp84/w-d-xo.html At the end of it (46:18), he talks about the Inquisition, the people we work for in Darktide.
1. Lol yeah I loved that my teammate said "I'm sry" after he bailed, which I don't blame him! It was bad positioning 2. Daemonhosts are the single scariest thing I've seen in this game yet and I will be avoiding them at all costs...until I make a shield Ogryn >:) 3. Thank you for clarifying this! I'm glad it isn't TOO expensive to increase the rarity 4. Okay, so for the big beefy boys it won't be worth trying to stagger them, but for crowds and stuff it's a good idea, got it 5. I'm bookmarking that video for later! Thank you for the recommendation, and for another banger of a comment!
Great to hear you had a good Christmas, you got some cool gifts! Although I discovered your channel due to being hopelessly addicted to Darktide, I subscribed because you have such a likeable personality and genuine way about you that is just so refreshing these days. Hope you and your family are all feeling better or at least through the worst of Nurgles blesings. Part of my selfish joy when watching your DT journey is seeing you discover the game for yourself. So I have been hesitant to offer "advice". I think the best thing is to just never lose sight of the whole purpose of games which is to have fun. Also I have found that another great thing about this game is the friends that you can make along the way. I have met so many cool people in DT and have had some of my best ever moments in gaming through it and the people I have met. Beating the hardest end game missions with a group of friends, laughing til you've tears in your eyes is why I love this game so much. The in game voice acting during missions is just so funny too at times. Voice actors did such a great job overall. Look forward to seeing your next adventure.
Thank you for tuning in, being a slice, and for those absolutely kind words! I'm happy to have you in the loaf! And I agree, video games are amazing, and they can bring out the absolute best in all of us. It's one of the main reasons I built my channel in the first place, because I just love video games and wanna have fun while meeting some great people (like yourself). So I look forward to discovering more about this game and its community. It's got its hooks deep, and I don't plan on slowing down.
My wife got me the 1999 Cats dvd. It's amazing and weird and I've been talking about which one of our pet cats are more Munkistrap or Rum Tum Tugger. My wife regrets getting me the present already. Also in the main loadout there's that little plus on the right hand side, you can use that to save weapon, relic, and talent loadouts to make full builds to swap between. Makes it a little more convenient once you figure out what grooves well with each other in your eyes.
Omg that sounds hilarious and amazing at the same time lol AND THERE'S LOADOUTS?! Gonna be doing that next time I'm on! (I already have the next part filmed, so the next next part lol)
Thanks for the episode! Big help on the masteries is only sacrifice the same wpn type for 5x mastery xp:) Also, since ur evis is gold, try rampage and perfect strike or shred or savage sweep and you will def feel the difference :D
I've been enjoying your journey. Glad to see more people getting into Darktide. A couple comments: I think you should try the flamer again, as when you tried it previously you only used the primary attack which is a small burst that does good stagger but low damage. Using the alternate fire on the flamer opens nozzle and shoots a massive line of fire like the enemy flamers. You may still not enjoy the weapon overall as it's very slow, but you should try it out just to experience the glory of lighting a ton of enemies on fire. Another suggestion would be try out the weapon special attack on every weapon as some of them are very different, and very interesting. May the Emperor walk with you!
Dueling sword is one of the most OP weapons in the game. You'll want Thrust/Riposte and Uncanny Strike. As far as perks for it maniac and Flak increased damage is good overall. The heavy attack is a single enemy poke. Combined with the zealot charge and well aimed melee can take out most enemies in a single hit.
@@akabreadley His heay attack is sthe best in the game becouse its a precise attack . You can hit heads of elite enemys all the time if you have a good aim .
When you hear that whispering it means there is a sleeping daemonhost nearby, there should always be a route you can use to avoid fighting it And for the Relic Blade I prefer the Mk II for the Mk X, its has better single target damage for a minimal horde clear loss And you can go multiple branches in the skill tree, long as you got skill points for them, just not multiple grenades, abilities or keystones
Those Daemonhosts are the scariest things I've seen yet lol I will try and ping them/find a way around them from here on out. The relic blade may be my favorite weapon yet, gonna definitely try out both Mks for it! And that's good to know, I'm just kinda wingin' it at the moment with talents lol

If you want other warhammer game recs, rogue trader is pretty good from world building perspective, although its a bit of a novel with the sheer amount of text
Yeah rogue trader seems like a good solid game with tons of complexity in the system, a fairly interesting plot and a lot to do... unfortunately i played it straight after Baldurs gate 3 and that game set the bar so high for CRPGs that the only thing that even remotely comes close is Divinity original sin 2. So I decided to put it down so far until i can stop comparing it to bg3 and i see youre now entering the medium difficulty missions. From here on out optimal play like sticking to your team and using your abilities correctly become more and more important. In particular ALWAYS mark the daemonhost on sight. Ive accidently walked right into one so many times while desperately trying to fight off hordes of everything else
Yeah I have like 280 hours in BG3 but I haven't played it since July so I'm hoping that will be enough of a gap lol YES! I will be way more cognizant of my teammates whereabouts and my ability management, same with movement. I also LOATHE those daemonhosts, they scare me lol

If you kill a Demonhost you get a little boost in xp and money but generaly its not worth it. Orgrin with shield is the easyest way to kill it.

Block also best friend.

I sure haven't! Lol

Rogue Trader is probably top of my list, next to the first Space Marine game! I just dunno if everyone will wanna hear me read a book lol
LOVE Xcom, gonna check out Mechanicus now
FYI any of the perks/trait with the magnifying glass 🔎 will not be active because you haven't unlocked it for that particular weapon yet.
