Dan: Puts down a roundabout to ease congestion at an intersection Also Dan: Moves one of the connecting roads off the roundabout to make a new intersection, undoing all progress
21:04 was so fucking lucky. Tha bottom yellow thing upgraded as it was about to lose the game, which gave it a higher storage and started reversing the timer.
one thing that is very unpleasant is the moving kick. you can pan around almost all sounds but not the low frequencies of a kick/click. it's super distracting on my DT 1990's. but love the little bleb and blops. very modular synth sounding.
@@dinopoloclub is there any chance you’d consider having the motorways be a bit more opaque and marked by dashed lines; effectively have them be underground instead of bridges? Not sure if it’s intentional or not but it’s quite bloody hard to make any changes under them, or see if a building is filling.
It's just occurred this would translate into a physical boards game relatively easily, and that I also really want a selection of little pastel coloured houses and businesses to build a lovely world with.
Islanders is one my favorites, just a nice chill puzzle game, and this strikes a lot of the same notes as Islanders - the way you get new components and such. I think my wallet will understand.
Nice thing about this having been out for months already, there’s vids of people doing really really well on TH-cam already. 2 takeaways, 1)never ever ever let two colors share a road or intersect. 2) use spare roads to block buildings from appearing where you don’t want them
45:25 bananas. Honestly, I'll probably put it on a wishlist and maybe pick it up if it goes on sale. I like the idea that it's Mini Metro with slightly more complicated mechanics. However, like how Mini Metro has an issue where it spawns too many of one shape station too often, this one needs a little more randomness in the placement of houses of the same color after the initial cluster (which I understand, as it is like a new neighborhood due to the new "pull factors" in the area). I also see that it takes longer for changes to take place since the number & frequency of cars using the roads is higher (Dan changed the motorway on the Tokyo map that took nearly 1.5 minutes to change because one car would keep turning on it before the other one got off, less likely to happen in Mini Metro unless you stacked a line).
@@Nunofurbiznus the only reason i think it'd be a little hard is because you'd have to wait for all your cars to go home, or get to their destination, and they're all stuck there. so from the time the roads start deleting to full deleting, and then the time it takes after replacing the roads, you might lose due to not enough attention at an attraction, but thats just a theory, I've not played the game myself.
I can’t be the only one who’s genuinely upset by the way Dan does his roads, not only does it look bad but it’s also inefficient so there’s zero upside, there’s a reason roads aren’t like that in real life Daniel
You should be picking bridges before roundabouts as bridges are essential, roundabouts are luxuries/refinements. Not picking bridges before roundabouts screwed more than one game in this stream.
Picked it up so I had something quiet to do in my puppies down time. Couldn't stop screaming why did you spawn that there. Was a louder game then I thought
If you mean "immediately demand a refund" then: yes, you're right. Cars keep driving on removed roads without any way to remove them means this game is infinitely worse than mini metro, which was quite fun.
They stop driving on regular roads once the cars that need the road no longer do. And motorways seem to be similar but usually takes longer in my experience. Which in practice means you often need a few extra roads on hand in order to effectively be able to reorganize roads. What I didn't like was that I paused and deleted everything because I wanted to try a different strategy but all the remaining roads and motorways were still visible and I couldn't place many of them in new places before they had all gone.
Thanks so much for streaming, Dan! Glad to see you putting those purple houses in their place.

me too
Same, about to buy it right now
Gonna go play Mini Metro now!
@@henriklarsen8193 I did yesterday
same! I have been so impatient with mini morotways' release, I bought it thr second it came to steam
The in-game "ping" noises for when people spawn or are picked up change pitch to match the background music and I love it ❤️
The entire video is just
Beeps - 10%
Nerd talking - 25%
Reading donations/subscriptions - 20%
"THATS A YEAR!!" - 45%
But in the end, it's 100% "is this by the people that made Mini Metro?"
I’d like to apologise for continuing with all the jokes after being asked to stop.

I'm hoping there's going to be a more chill option. Like a slower demand or something
i do too. Mini Metro had an efficiency mode, and it was my favorite
We plan on rolling out all sorts of extra game modes, just like we have on Mini Metro. :D Definitely in the cards!

I'm wondering how long it took Dan to get to bridges and stuff, I play games slow and I felt the pacing was perfect.

they should merge the games into one
