I cried thinking about not having Gene call our games anymore. I have been listening to Him since 1979 and can't imagine not having him. Vic and Gene let me experience so many awesome memories during my early childhood. "Touchdown Florida State" will always be there for me. Thanks Gene you will always be there in my favorite memories of FSU football.

I'm not cryin', You're cryin'!!! Sure will miss you Gene Deckerhoff. This was such a great episode. Growing up watching FSU games with my dad (even up until my dad passed away) we would always mute the tv announcers and put on Gene to listen to while we watched the Noles play. Thank you for all you have done over the years Gene and wish you and your family nothing but the best going forward. Go Noles!!!

Sad to see Gene go. Gene with Bowden and Andrews as a kid, good days. This has to be the year to make that turn. I'm ready to have that Sat morning excitement again for GameDay. See Doak packed and loud with the chop and chant... Goosebumps. Do it for Gene and for legendary Bowden. Go Noles!
