This is so interesting to me. It's fascinating to think about how our preferences change, going from "i would never do/like that" to becoming a huge fan, or thinking that something would be a favorite forever, until it just isn't anymore. A friend of mine got into the MLM Younique a few years ago, and because i liked makeup and also wanted to support her new "business", i bought a ton of stuff from her. Like, literally a full face of products. (The fiber mascara nearly blinded me, but that's another story.) I remember the palettes being pretty good, and the single shadows/custom palettes were innovative for me at the time. I got A LOT of use out of those products, and i felt kinda "fancy", using makeup that wasn't "common" from the drugstore. so i guess i got my money's worth. However, i remember feeling so icky when i was decluttering them. I just hated that i supported the MLM. I would have rather just helped my friend in other ways that didn't involve a sketchy predatory company. Ah well...
What stopped me from getting into Morphe was that video Stephanie Nicole did where she revealed that they were basically just overpriced crown/private labeled palettes. I have a couple of their palettes but I bought them when they started making their own color stories. The white JH one I have in the original formula before they secretly changed it a couple of years later.
I had 90% of these palettes too and also decluttered them all. I’m much more into super unique shades and formulas, like Kaleidos. I’ve been obsessed with that brand recently! 💖🌸
I still own the ABH norvina palette and the original Venus palette somewhere. I remember being really hyped about a carmine-free vegan palette with red shades! 🦄🔪💧🎭🎶🚬
I would love for this series to continue! I just decluttered the JP palettes you mentioned, except for the Festival palette-I’m going to see if I still like it as much as I used to. I still have my Friendcation palette and the Norvina palette, but I did just declutter my CP Zodiac palette-I was keeping it for the turquoise shimmer, but I have so many indie duo chromes and multi chromes; it was time to let it go. 😽😽😽😽😊❤️

I just decluttered my Tarte x Grav3yard girl palette a few years ago. It was one of my first expensive palettes. I did actually like it and I loved the packaging so much. But the shadows just went bad.
The Lime Crime Greatest Hits Bangers palette ended up being one of my favorites this last year. I never had any of the original Venus ones so it's a great mix of shares from all. You are absolutely right about the formula being sheer, it is marketed as an Eye and Face palette so they are sheer enough to be face powders as well. I also have Immortalis and Prelude Chroma, which aren't the easiest to work with but I always enjoy the looks I create. Please do more of these videos, they are great fun! 🤓
I’m not gonna lie, I didn’t understand the Morphe 3502 palette.. when a good chunk of the oranges all looked the same lol I didn’t understand the popularity during that time 🤷🏽♀️😂

I finally made it on time to a video 😅 I had the most hectic weekend trying to prepare for day of the dead (a lot of tamales needed to be stuffed, wrapped, and cooked 🥵); but I hope you had a lovely Halloween, it’s always looked like so much fun. I don’t know why but I *love* declutters; I find them helpful, of course, but it’s the same giddiness others might feel watching hauls 🙈. I am looking at those Morphe palettes and I realise that one of the multiple reasons I don’t buy from them is that they loooove to add repetitive shades that end up looking the same on the eyes 😒. I really like your whole look today, the makeup, the hair, the shirt, everything looks 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽.
Man. I remember drooling over the venus palettes for such a long time. Never bought them and now I am like....why in the world did I think those were special? I had the zodiac palette and it was my first cp palette that had a really crappy formula!!! I kept it forever because I just thought it was so pretty. I am definitely more selective now and understand how color interacts with my skin tone. I am an ivory olive and I recently found a selfie from my wedding day when I was soooo into warm firey looks (probably used yes please) and man!!! I looked sick and washed out! I appreciate the journey though. When I was in my late teens, early 20s, I was obsessed with covergirl singles in bright colors, and this brand called h.i.p. that had a bunch of loose pigments in revolutionary (for the time) colors. Always did eye looks with contrasting shades or a bright reverse cat eye. In a really conservative town with my turquoise and pink mowhawk, that didn't go over so well 🤣 man, memory lane makes me feel old af and I an only 32 lol! An emoji that I don't use anymore is 🤪
I don't own a lot of palettes & for sure I will not declutter my MAC or my Juvia's place ') but yes, for a youtuber reviewing make-up that is a must I think !! My new faves are from Oden's Eye , the Hummingbird and Wolves - so beautiful, so smooth and easy to apply, love at first sight 😍🍬🍬🍬🍭🍭🍭 Happy Trick or Treat Battybean !!
I decluttered my KL Morphe palette last year because I felt like it was probably expired but I genuinely loved the color story so I re-created it with my single shadows and honestly it’s way better because the formula was not that great
I love juvias place. They have beautiful mattes and very metallic shimmers, not to mention their price. I haven't bought much from them recently but I love them.
I can’t use Morphe shadows because they burn my eyes horribly but I wanted to love them….My Venus 1 was my favorite but all the others were horrible and I eventually ended up decluttering them when my daughters got into makeup snd my Taylor is obsessed with the Venus 3 because she does light makeup anyway….lots of love and big hugs from my family to yours!!!! 🤪
I had the Venus xl palettes like 2 of them one a berry colorway and the other was like mints and pinks pastel type shades from lime crime. I decluttered both because I really had to work for pigmentation.
I drove to the Morphe store in LA and bought 50 shades of Purple. I hated that palette and threw it away. The brushes I bought all broke. I wanted that Venus palette for years and I finally bought it. I still have it. Lol
The Anastasia Norvina palette was my very first palette and I loved it so much. I can't seem to get rid of it. That's the palette that got my into makeup
I still have the Juvia’s Place Festival palette, but I have decluttered the Zulu and Nubian 2. Juvia’s was the first indie brand I discovered, and at the time I wanted a lot of purple, orange, red/coral, and warm neutrals 😂 (and of course I had the ABH Modern Renaissance that I’ve definitely decluttered by now). I think I went to these as a first step outside of the neutral versions of those colors, and wanting to experiment with colored shimmers and try yellow and green mattes. Now I wear colorful eyeshadow 95% of the time, but that was the genesis of my indie brand color loving ways. I still like warm colors, and if I have to wear neutrals I prefer warm, but I think that has more to do with my skin having warm undertones. I also remember a time when there was no truly warm makeup. When I look back at shades that were considered the warm option then, I think they are super neutral or even cool toned now. I remember wanting Urban Decay eyeshadows so bad, but they only had cool toned shades. 😂

I used to have the Zulu from Juvias place. I think Juvias place create beautiful palettes. Such bright, bold colors. I love them. But I just recently gave it to a friend because I wasn't using it so much. I personally could create many cohesive looks with it though I loves that rose gold pink shimmer in it. I'm not very much into "simple looks" with like one or two shades. Im usually like how many shades can I fit on my lid.... But I love the colors they release. Also I'm super excited because I'm waiting for your palette to come in the mail~

One grabs a maybelline shadow in a dark shade, applies it with whatever it came with or the fingers, eyeliner, maayyyybe a liquid eyeliner wing if it happens to work out that day, mascara and slap on some foundation. Done. It's like I'm just learning about makeup really. I'm 34. Better late than never. It's fun. I just wish I had more time to actually play with it.
Actually today I've used the minty metallic from the ColourPop Zodiac palette 😀 I also got rid of the Morphe Jaclyn Hill palette though I've only used mine twice. And then I got rid of ABH Modern Renicance cause I never used it and also Dose Of Colors Eyes-cream cause the mattes sucked 😒 I'm thinking about depotting the metallics from it if no one wants it and put them in a magnetic palette 🤔 Please do a part 3 😊

I had heard of morphe from a friend because I collected naked palettes. She told me they were affordable and amazing quality. So I went and bought probably 4 palettes. Then I got Jeffrey Star and then James Charles collaboration palettes. I hated the quality in every single one. I've decluttered every morphe palette except a green colorway in a jacklyn hill vault.
I’ve decluttered the Violet Voss Sugar Crystal palette. It looked like so much fun but it just wasn’t doing it for me. I haven’t tried anything else from her since. 🦄
I decluttered my subculture because the shades started oxidizing weirdly on me! Also gave away naked smoky because I just didnt love the formula compared to other UD palettes I have
I’ve decluttered a couple Morphe palettes to my sister and I’m currently working on going through my collection to see what I will truly use and then give some more to my sisters. 🙈
🧚 I’ve decluttered most of my Colourpop palettes because I just can’t use them. I did pass them on though, so they are still getting use. Colourpop uses Carmine in a lot of their palettes and I’m highly sensitive to it. My eyes go blood red and feel very bruised and it lasts a couple of days. I’ve learned to check ingredients before I buy a palette now. Luckily, a lot of the indie brands I like don’t use Carmine so there is still plenty to buy.
i have the Venus II and I was super dissapointed when it arrived; the formula just doesnt work. However, I have the venus Immortalis as well and i LOVE that palette! Al the shades are super buttery and easy to work with!
👹 Not sure why I stopped using this emoji. I still have the Venus III palette, but I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be (actually thought I got a bad one). The two palettes I remember decluttering were the first two from KVD when Kat was still in charge. I just wasn't into them that much and gave them to my nieces to play with.
Im sooooo glad I was never really into morphe. I knew that all looked the same etc. And didnt need then all. Only ones i ever bought was jaclyns original one you just talked about which us the only one i liked and still own. I also got the james charles palette and hated it so i sood it to a friend. It didnt work well at all. I never really use the jaclyn one much but ill never declutter it. Only other palette I ever got close to buying is that boss mood one with the pretty greens. But i knew better. Now i try to only buy what i really want.. Something different or that I dont have in my collection. Mostly buy indie. And i try to buy smaller palettes. P.s i love these videos.

i’m not a fan of morphe. i only have one morphe palette in my collection. i used to adore limecrime when they verrrrry first began. 😛
👹 Not sure why I stopped using this emoji. I still have the Venus III palette, but I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be (actually thought I got a bad one). The two palettes I remember decluttering were the first two from KVD when Kat was still in charge. I just wasn't into them that much and gave them to my nieces to play with.
Once I found indie shadows I rarely buy mainstream palettes anymore except like bh lol

Im sooooo glad I was never really into morphe. I knew that all looked the same etc. And didnt need then all. Only ones i ever bought was jaclyns original one you just talked about which us the only one i liked and still own. I also got the james charles palette and hated it so i sood it to a friend. It didnt work well at all. I never really use the jaclyn one much but ill never declutter it. Only other palette I ever got close to buying is that boss mood one with the pretty greens. But i knew better. Now i try to only buy what i really want.. Something different or that I dont have in my collection. Mostly buy indie. And i try to buy smaller palettes. P.s i love these videos.
