Gameplay was better in avengers. The character actually had unique abilities that made sense for their character to have, for a start. Story is pretty much subjective. It's so obvious with Shark that they're trying to do a Guardians of the Galaxy theme with the characters. Or the connection between those four is like that of Guardians of the Galaxy.

I don’t know why you are ignoring the reasons. Here are a few of the main ones: A live service game which you already paid for and which has higher than normal prices for skins that would be free if this was a single player game. A game that always needs to be online even for story mode so you would not be able to play game once the servers go down and slow internet can affect performance. And if this game doesn’t sell well it could be sooner than you would like (as happened with the failed Avengers live service game) DRM added that has been shown to slow performance of games. A game that released with bugs that meant that those who preordered the game for early access couldn’t play the game. A short story mode that could have been more involved and deeper in a proper single player games like the highly regarded Arkham games instead of a live service game. Repetitive game play that pads out the story which Hollow mentioned he had to cut out at the start of the video. The missed opportunity of 7 year development game allowing you to play as the Justice League replaced with minor characters that hardly anyone would prefer to play as. The fact that each character does not have a unique set of abilities and play styles apart from travel. Even the Avengers game managed to do that. And there are other reasons related to gameplay and story. Like I said you are free to buy and play your games, but the criticisms of this game by Hollow, players, fans, reviewers and commenters is totally deserved and it’s sad people defend this or ignore it. That only encourages more poor behavior and practices.

They did Batman dirty man. I actually just bought the three original games on PS5 and am up to Knight now. Those games were so damn good and groundbreaking for superhero games and combat. Playing Knight right now, which is a lot better than people say, and watching SSKTJL it's like two different devs made these games. This story has an interesting premise but the execution is terrible. Plus the way they degraded the Flash was crazy. Also, this Batman, Arkham Batman, one of the strongest iterations of the character getting killed by Harley Quinn is a joke. I don't like live service games and I rarely preorder games and this has been a perfect example why. I'll try to scrub this game from my memory when it comes to the Arkhamverse.
