  • Guitar and synthesizer demo of AC Noises' pulsating ambient dreamscape machine, the Respira Shimmer Reverb + Multimode LFO Tremolo.
The Respira is a tonal twofer that should make every ambient musician stop in their tracks, as it perfectly marries serene shimmer reverb and a multimode tremolo with no less than 16 different LFO shapes. On top of that it sports 4 different tremolo types, ranging from classic amplitude and harmonic tremolo to two utterly unique frequency split modes where only the bass or treble frequencies get affected by the trem. And with its highly tweakable control set, tap tempo and expression control, this pedal should feel right at home in every sound designer's setup.

Speaking of trems, though, have you ever had the chance to look at the Pine-Box Customs Crooked Teeth? It's a crazy stereo trem with a dirty preamp in front (if you haven't heard of it, yet). One of my favourite releases of 2021, already.

Happy you dig it! Yeah, AC Noises are having big problems sourcing parts for this pedal at the moment, hence you don't see too many of them around. To be honest, the entire pedal world is suffering big time from supply chain issues due to COVID and other tragic things, like one of the biggest component producing factories catching fire and burning to the ground. I would probably look into some Squiers. If you wanna buy new, then the Squier Affinity series should be great for your needs. I would go for something with singlecoils. Probably a Telecaster. If you can afford it, then go for the Squier Classic Vibe series instead. It's just insane value for money. You could probably also find some used Squier Classic Vibes within your budget. Again, a Telecaster or a Jazzmaster will give you great chimey tones and a lot of versatility and stability.
