- Summer in Alaska on 16mm film.
Shot with Kodak Vision-3 250D, with a pan-cinor 17-85mm Zoom Lens w/viewfinder on a Bolex H16-S
Special thanks to my sister Sahai for acting and bearing with me as I made micro adjustments to each shot she was in for far too long.
This is sick
Visuals look clean! Well shot. Well done.
This is so great. Thanks for sharing such a cool glimpse into Alaska!
Thank you!
The shots are great and the sound design is excellent. Shooting film is a very technical process but it's so rewarding when you get the footage back and the shots came out great. Well done.
I actually felt like a movie had begun. I'd like to see the rest.great job.
That sound design is incredible!!
visual poetry
Jaw dropping. Film has such magic ❤
this was soo good. every shot in every scene had my full attention! bravo 👏
this is so beautiful, well done!
This is amazing! I live in Alaska myself, it’s a welcome surprise to find that there’s another local film enthusiast
No way! I’d love to see some of your work if you have any! Are you in anchorage? I wondered myself if there were any others into shooting film near me
Great visuals and sound design!
Thats so gorgeous and especially, your work on the audio on the edit. So beautiful
Thank you so much!
Amazing work!!! You should apply it to Kurz Klub Short Film Festival 🤘🏻

Wow Absolutely beautiful work! At first I wondered how you got the glow inside the helmet, then I frame peaked and saw the MC ! Very Cool!!!
Hahaha yep, pretty handy little lights!
Good stuff and excellent sound work!
Love it. i wish I could make something like this one day.

Thank you😁😁
@@finnbenischek3170 Very Welcome 😎
This is 🔥
Really beautiful ❤️❤️❤️
This is insane thank you for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I loved watching this! How much should one budget these days for film, processing and scanning for a film of your length?
All in all the price of the film + processing + scanning of 1 roll (which is how much I used for this video) costs about 130$.
Awesome stuff
insane
amazing. and so underrated bro.
Thank you!
Gorgeous shots. Did you partially close the shutter to get a sharper image or is it wide open?
Thanks! Sort of depends on the shot, but generally if it is a sunny/daytime scene then I had the shutter closed up around F11 or F16. For all the darker/night/sunset it was proabbly around F2
1:50 shot is amazing! Did you get that on the zoom lens or zoom more in post?!
Thank you! I got it on the zoom lens, using a close focus diopter to get closer than the lens would have natively allowed me to focus.
What diopter did you use mate?
@@spaceyaliens I used a Vivitar +2 strength diopter. I’d recommend getting one of their full sets which comes with +1, +2, +4 and +10 strength factors. They are very affordable on B&H, around 10-15 USD for the whole pack depending on the thread size you get.
Insane, I love it
such an amazing work! just wondering how you managed to shoot that underwater scene, did u use any housing? thanks!
Hey! Thanks for the comment! For that shot I suspended a clear plastic container/bin between two chairs in my living room. I rigged the tripod sideways underneath it between the two chairs and laid down to roll the camera. I filled the bin with water and had my actress bend over the bin and put her face in.
thanks for the info! It was truly inspiring😄@@finnbenischek3170
so cool
wow
were the darker scenes shot on 250D as well?
@@sydburd yes they were, it’s all shot on one roll
What FPS was this shot in?
Shot and scanned in 24 FPS
Riiiiiiiiiight.....
Don't apply for director.
Real nice
Appreciate it!
