Please consider some metal/symphonic/folk renditions of classic American traditional songs and folk tunes of the 19th century... or maybe some Civil War era songs... Another related source of inspiration could be Stephen Foster's songs.

Song title potentially problematic. Conquest of what - or whom? But the song is amazing. Everything you've shared so far from the new album has made it onto a playlist of mine. I have an Epic Steampunk Western Music playlist (for writing my post-apocalyptic Weird Western series) and an Epic Space Battle Music that deliberately evokes an seafaring vibe (for my fantasy space opera series.) So this new album is kind of like magic in a can to me. Will you be making the digital album available without the CDs at some point? I have little use for a CD (and shipping to Canada can be prohibitive) but I'd love to get the tracks. Happy to pay the same price either way; that's a lot of music, you've worked hard, and you deserve to make a living. Thanks!

I'm sure you're right! I was gently pointing out that "Conquest"can be a problematic word for people in North America when talking about the Old West. Antti is European, so I thought he might not know, that's all.

But, I think the title choice takes that tragedy along - it's displaying the attitude of the European based population arriving there. So the title is accurate - painfully accurate.
@@inco_errance1815 No it was not, that's the point. The Native knew 'The West'. It wasn't an empty land - though many European based people thought so. The Natives view wasn't thought of. I think the title shows that tragic view to it.
