Your little Scamp looks great after the polish job. Thanks for the tips. I will definitely follow your advise when it comes time to polish our trailer. Happy Cambing
@@shaunwilkens Thank you We just purchased a 1993 which is very chalky. I'm hoping to get the same result or close that you did. I am also going to use the same awning as you. Thank you for your content I will keep watching!
Just did this on my scamp. Did the rust stains from the hardware under your front window go away when you were cutting and then polishing, or did you do something else to get rid of those?
@Shane Canale I used some Star Brite rust stain remover and that helped a little. The cutting definitely helped too. Just spent more time in those areas.
@@shaunwilkens About to jump in I think. I'm thinking the best tip in your video is the caution about masking the black painted window frames. I would have jumped in without masking them and would have spent hours trying to paint them with black paint. I already bought a 3-M 1-2 compound + polish so I'll find out how that works. Did you rent scaffolding or work off a ladder? Nice job on your video. Thank you.
Looks like you really brought it back to shining.👍
I’m getting ready to do my 13’ Scamp. Boy does it need it.

Thanks! It was a big project but worth it
I watched all the scamp videos you posted. Excellent work. Great videos!
@Gene Kauffman Thanks! It means a lot
What an incredible improvement! It looks so great. I’m definitely going to be having you do this for us when we have you buy us our Scamp 👌🏻
Hurry up and get one already!
About to tackle this on my 1998 Scamp. Appreciate the tips! Went with the Meguires One Step Compouind and their Premium Marine Wax.
Looks so pretty! I hope to see this little Scamp scampering by one of these days
Thanks dude! Yeah, I’m sure we’ll be scampering around the same woods soon!
Looks fabulous!!
Thanks mom!
nice one thx for sharing
Looks good, I always learn things from you! 😜🖖
Thanks! Happy to share whatever I can
Thanks for sharing
my 2006 scamp 16 has lots of rivets with covers.. how did you handle those? Just go around them? Thanks.
The plastic buttons on mine had all worn away so I didn’t need to avoid them. I probably would try to avoid them if you have them.
Did the polishing effect the scamp lettering ?
I was fairly careful around the lettering so it stayed in good shape. It’s definitely a risk though

You’re most welcome
Im sure you found it already but Scamp owners international web site is free with alot of good information.
How do you know if you have to buff or can you just wax?
You could try waxing a section first and see how it looks. I just knew that my scamp had years of neglect and needed a buffing.
Dang look at those results! How much does it cost to have it done somewhere?
Thanks dude! I didn’t reach out to many professionals but I think it would cost at least $600 at the low end but more likely in the $1000 range
When do you want me to drop it off?
Haha, I don’t know if I’d want to do that all over again
