- Let me introduce you to my idea of akumatizing Marinette 🦋

I can't believe I actually finished this animatic after I started working on it in July this year. Originally this was supposed to be a pretty tame little diashow-like music video. But I cannot stop my hands from adding more and more frames and drawings and here we are. Some scenes took a lot longer to draw and put together than others, especially the action focused ones. But I am really glad I pulled through.

I ll finally leave a comment because each it pops up i rewatch it. The only concept of Nooroo making someone his champion without passing by a holder is already phenomal. We saw what Plag could do alone, and recently tikki, but OH BOY. It would'nt even need the consent of the champion, just a straight up overpowered being.
The other thing I love here is the use of apathy. I don't it's used enough, but it's so thematically strong. Everything Marinette ever did is care. She cares for the city, she cares for the miracluous, she cares for her friends, her family, she cares about her dream, her school life, and love life; and what does everything that she cares like that do ? It kills her from within. The pressure, the failure, the bad talk she has sometimes, and all, all the pain. It all stays inside, bottled up, because she can't let it go. It's a secret, it's to protect, it's better like that. When Nooroo finally gives her something her hearts want : it's not care. It's not feel anything anymore. No more pain, yes, but really it is no more pressure, no more anxiety. Her heart judged that everything good didn t outweight the bad, so it just went drastic and cut everything.
And it also brings her motivation like that, and also tied with the solo nooroo action : her goal. Normally, each vilain has a personal goal and gabriel keep them in check to bring him the miraculous. But in her case ? It's purely her wish being fullfilled. No one to keep her in line. And linked to her now apathy : simply destroying everything that brings pain. I don't think she would go personnal, like attacking Chloe or something like that, more : destroying the miraculous. As she fights the holders lead by Alya, she just wants to destroy those powerful artefacts that brought her so much troubles. Because that's really what caused her SO MUCH pressure and pain : the vilains, Gabriel's fool dream to bring his wife back making him forget the ones alives around him, her mentor that spends his whole life trying to rewrite a wrong, and most of all : her secret.
On a last note, and it's more farfetched here. Nooroo and Gabriel always stocked the akuma into an item of the champion. But here ? Nothing. Nooroo and the peacock miraculous are both very much linked to matter : one needs it to give power and the other give matter to something that don't have any (emotions). The crazy idea is : what if Nooroo learned from the peacock here ? What if he gaves power into something immaterial : something that cannot be contained and is theorically infinite. It brings a LOT of questions, the most important : how do we destroy it to free the akuma ? AND HERE COMES THE GENIUS OF MARINETTE'S DESIGN HERE (not linked to my theory, but more ing general) she doesn't have an akuma, SHE IS THE AKUMA. And it really encapsulate the whole point of the show, a bit childish at time : you can't ignore your emotions.
Most of the time, they breaks the items, fix paris and the now ex vilain does something to not feel like that anymore ( or is cast away in case of already evil person). Here, with Marinette, it's not possible. You cannot free her in the classical method. And we can go even farther : would they need to break her or to purify her ? They can't ignore her feelings because SHE IS the feelings, overflowing and destroying everything around in the process.

That would be cool! But remember in one of the episodes where Marinette had got akumatized and almost gave up her miraculous? If you really think about it, neither Cat Noir or Ladybug can really GET akumatized and become a villain, they would just immediately give up their miraculous to Hawk Moth.
You know Paris is in real trouble when Hawkmoth has to go on a superhero arc

I keep coming back to this because, its just phenominal. You managed to do, in 4 minutes, what the writers couldn't in a whole season. You told a story so amazing and beautiful, honestly, this is just amazing. So many people go for such an angry akumatised Marinette (which, dont get me wrong, the girl deserve to be angry af) but you took her and made her tragically beautiful. even with all the destruction going on, she looks ethereal and beautiful and calm and sad. like she finally shed all the burdens of emotions in her heart. this was just so amazing, im honestly speechless. i dont think words do this justice to how incredible your work is. Thank you

I absolutely adored the idea of everyone having to fight (save) an overly powerful akumatized Marinette. And I personally love that isntead of a crazy, evil laughting villain, she looks beautiful but emotionless
She is always saving everyone while her life is falling down

It's like her will is suppressed by the sheer force of Nooroo's power, like everything confusing or weird or scary or sad is just gone. It would be some sort of relief, like a numbing agent for surgery keeps you from feeling pain but you also can't feel anything else in the area. She isn't herself anymore and it's too late for anyone to save her.
just my impression of it, it would be a cool end to the show. not a very happy ending, but an interesting one nonetheless.
I like to imagine that the wings are all of the pain Marinette has collected over time

Yeah. And when Hawk Moth turned around with that expression on his face of pure terror, he immediately knew that it wasn't his doing, and that something was wrong. The expressions are just gorgeous and capture all the emotions perfectly without saying a thing!

This would be a PERFECT series finale. The idea of Marinette being that last person to be akumatized, and she's receiving Nooroo's full, raw power, is so poetic and makes for such a damn good payoff.
I feel like it could be a part one and part two for the series finale. So at the end they could do how they ended the last Harry Potter movie but that's just my opinion

I do like the idea of Nooroo going “Screw this, I can’t take it anymore” and using his powers on his own. It’d be a good way to get Gabriel to finally realize how much he screwed up, by showing him just what he’d created.
Which is probably why they wouldn't have the guts to do it 🙄
This is so beautiful- and the ending. That even at her very worst. Dull, mindless and drowned in her sorrow. Even then, Marinette still offers her hand to the one who cause her so much pain, when Gabriel falls to his knees and apologises.
She pushes away Chat Noir, her friends. But him? Him she lets in.
Because he has felt that same despair as she has. And she understands. (And the way "you caused this" hits right then? OUCH)
The tragedy and the irony
I'm sorry but the same despair ? She never lose someone if I'm not wrong, she was actually crying because of her responsibility as being the protector of Paris which is quite different than what Gabriel's felt. If we had to choose someone with the same pain as Gabriel it would definitely be his son. I'm sorry if if looks like I'm comparing people's pain, I'm just genuinely asking 😅 I feel like she accepted Gabriel not in a good way, but more in a "let's change this life/Paris as we want it to be" way.
@@amylinh0309 She had to cope with what had to be done to protect Master Fu if I'm correct, I know he hasn't died but lost his memories and she's the only one who knows which is a bit worse.

The repetitive "and you caused it" is so fitting for Gabriel in this animatic; he caused Marinette so much pain and agony with his meddling that her becoming so OP when akumatized was all down to him.

Words can't express how incredible this is. Not only the animatic itself, the ideas, the way the frames have been integrated to fit the song's lyrics, the face expressions, not to mention how in-character everyone is without them having to talk... It's just unbelievably good and a massive source of inspiration. All the power and respect to you, seriously.

By doing this, she'll realize that Paris is safe, and she doesn't need to be a hero with such a burden on her shoulders anymore. This may cause the Akuma in her heart(bc the desire to protect Paris is from the heart), to remove itself from her.

That is INSANE
Nooroo felt the girl's anguish. Her pain was palpable. Gabriel wasn't going to like it, but this girl needed help. The intensity of the emotions went way off the charts. Nooroo felt the enormous power surge into the girl. She felt it too. Quickly taking in the situation, she screamed. Everything had been going wrong. Why this? Why now? She just wanted everything to disappear. She didn't want this massive responsibility to Paris, she didn't want to have to juggle her double life at school, and most of all, she didn't want these emotions anymore. She screamed for all of this to just stop! Nooroo's power granted her that wish. A listless apathy soon spread over her. None of it mattered anymore. All of Paris was going to be torn apart by the storm in her head made manifest and circling above. The racing thoughts and pangs of emotion are now replaced with racing winds and pangs of lightning. She flutters up above the city diminishing its presence in her mind. Why is this here if it hurts me? The wind and lightning increase in intensity. Nooroo worries that might have been the wrong choice to get back at his master, but surely Ladybug and Catnoir will save the city as they always do, right?
I absolutely love the way you put it into words and it also makes me think of Chat Blanc how he destroys Paris and how would they get back to normal, do they get back to normal?

This could still happen:
-For once, this season, she was the one vulnerable. He was the one who had to save her;
-Death, the slow kind, was showed twice during this show (Rose's disease and Gabriel's cataclysmatic state).
-Natalie is starting to find loopholes in her relationship with Gabriel that allow her to operate on a sort of agenda of her own;
-And Lila reminding everyone Ladybug is still a teenager, uncapable of handling the whole pressure...
You know where I'm getting at.
I think that you think about a:
-nathalie redemtion arc
-lila FOR ONCE being right about something (because lets face it being a hero and triying to balance a normal life together must be a LOT of mental preassure)
-and marrinate having a mental breackdown due to something that either lila or chloe pushed too far.
- and finally the power of the akuma is so steong that is actually killing marrinate slowy for his body cant handle it, so its a race againts time, either they sabe her, she desteoya everithing or die.

It's amazing what happens when you put a little bit of effort into characters (ahem ahem miraculous ladybug)
This is so fantastic, the emotion, the timing, the look an Marinette's face after she's become akumatized it's all so amazing. It's like shes about to cry but also so calm at the same time. The lighting and colouring is so awesome and I can't forget about the fact that her akumatized form is an akuma, it perfectly represents how the kwami's have no control of there powers. The show would be 100 times better if they hired you!

Edited: Yes, they can use some of the plots us fans make, but only as concepts. Cause they want to keep their own plot line going. They're not gonna deviate too far from their own concepts though.

After poor Nathalie met the same fate as Gabriel's wife, Nooroo cannot bear the despair and pain of his master and takes matters into his own hands to get a hold of the Miraculous' and the wish. When he impulsively seizes the chance of akumatizing an exhausted and overwhelmed Marinette things spiral out of control. Without a holder Nooroo is able to create immensely powerful champions - but their powers come at the cost of losing their mind and Nooroo is not able to take the powers away he once granted. Only solving the person’s problem can detransform Nooroo‘s Akuma. And Marinette‘s most unbearable suffering comes from the responsibility of being Ladybug and her duty to protect Paris every day.
If only there wasn't Paris…

The look she gives at 3:47 is so empty yet portrays so much emotion, like she's been broken time and time again and is just to tired to feel anything at all anymore. You've made such an impactful, and ethereal work of art that I genuinely adore

This. This is why I love the miraculous fandom. Hands down the best miraculous animatic I’ve ever seen. It was so dynamic, bittersweet, and downright gut wrenching. Not to mention the amazing song choice and absolutely BEAUTIFUL artwork. Amazing job, now if you’ll excuse me, *I’ll be rewatching this about 10,000 more times.*

I think this concept works all the better because without Lucky Charm the damage to the city and people becomes permanent. It solidifies the actions of Hawk Moth, who however tragic his character may be has caused the continuous destruction and likely death of many people, we just don't get to acknowledge this because everything is set back to how it was previously. Honestly a finale that acknowledges and allows damage to be healed and built upon rather then erased or covered up would finally acknowledge everything Miraculous' s Paris has gone through. Marinette and Adrien should also probably not ever enter a relationship. They share too much trauma from being teenage superheroes and would be unhealthily codependent. This would be worsened by the powers they hold as superheroes. They need therapy and time not to be thrust into something that takes as much time, energy, and thought as a relationship. It's been awhile since I've watched anything for Miraculous but it was nice to come back to my origins for a while. This was truly a majestic piece of artwork which had much thought put into it. So there's my 2 cents.
Unfortunately the writers don't see Marinette and Adrien's relationship as a broken one from the start: they were given alternative (good) relationships, but plot had to happen and they ignored the big problem: whatever problem the two had in their good relationships was gonna be amplified tenfold when the two are together. They will both feel bad about not telling each other the secret and we saw from Alya's relationship that secrets like that don't last. And those two made the only sensible decision, they told each other their secret identities! They realized such a secret would break their relationship. But Adrien and EXPECIALLY Marinette hold this to such an unholy degree of importance that they would not tell the other anything (but knowing the writers they will just ignore that or put them in a situation in which they find out without the two's 'approval'). They would end up miserable.
I love the detail of Alya having the miraculous box with her when she and the rest of the miraculous holders arrive on the scene. Since who else but her knew where it was. That said, this finish for season 5 wouldn't work, unless Marinette and Adrien got all the miraculoses (or at least the 6 that were there at the time) back from Gabriel's hands. It'd be pretty damn epic to see a version of Marinette, who's akumatised due to the sheer pressure of having to protect everyone, and Gabriel not being able to un-akumatise her, effectively having to join the hero side to stop her.

Miraculous team is too bad at writing to create this masterpiece
Watching this video multiple times made me tear up a bit. Marinette being akumatized by Nuuru's full raw power makes her look beautiful yet emotionless rather than being the complete opposite.
I don't know why, but everytime I see Marinette in that video makes me feel the pain she's feeling. We all have our downs and sometimes it can take over us. We're humans and we feel these things too.

Words can describe how much I love this animatic! The expressions of Adrien and Gabriel are wow, and Marinette as a butterfly of caos is amazing

The first thing that came to mind for me is "Beehemoth" (Behemoth is a jewish figure that is seen as the king of all mammals (including 'pathetic humans'). Together with "bee" and "moth" it makes the perfect name of the akumatised counterpart of Ladybug.

This is the best Marinette I've ever seen in my life. Big flapping wings is a really good idea! You did a really good job of portraying Marinette with an empty heart!
One idea I just thought about. Kwamis are gods, concepts. They are not humans, they don't think like humans, they don't feel like human. And Nooros power was abused, so he didn't just crack, he put Marinette as the avatar of his wrath. She's a literally God's wrath, unfeeling and uncaring, just punishing everyone and everything.

I have a theory so when plagg used cataclysm with out a owner it was super powerful so I’m guessing when nooroo used their power on Marinette it like super akumatized her

Even a year later, this is the best mlb animatic I've seen, and one of my favorite pieces of the fandom altogether.
This is the absolute most amazing idea I have ever seen for Miraculous. It's so beautifully animated and the anguish within is tangible. I cried right with Gabriel when Adrien was knocked down after Marinette's attack. I honestly thought he was dead, and that made it hurt even more.
I am absolutely here for the idea of Gabriel finally changing tracks and joining the heroes to fight against an Akumatized Marinette. Especially when he shows as much character and emotion as he does here.
Holy shit the music fits so well, like when they said "And if you're in love" and you showed Alya and Nino, and then when the music gets intense there's also intense scenes, and when Marinette held out her hand to Gabriel and the lyrics went "and you caused it" like damn. Such great creative writing and execution! Awesome amazing work!!
To add to that "and if your in love, then you're the lucky one, cause most of us are bitter over someone" and it pans to the back of Adrien.
This was jaw dropping and beyond amazing. Every second was so just breathtaking, I’ve never seen nooroo use his powers like that it was such a great idea I’m in love with this
This is seriously SO beautiful. I can't imagine how much time, effort, and love went into the creation of this animatic, and it absolutely shows in the final product. The concept behind it is so good, and your execution brings it vividly to life
If I'm honest I think it could happen if it was the anime version, but with the current version it's rather hard to imagine because it's aimed more at little kids. I like the series, but I'd really like the anime for scenes like this.
the parts with gabriel were AMAZING, i love how core he would be to solving this problem and how the CHAT NOIRE REVEAL is what really motivates him just WHOAh.
Your use of camera shakes and particles is just *chefs kiss* AUGH so wonderful, so beautiful and adds shut DEPTH to the animatic. I love this so much.

Years later I still come back to watch, show it to other people etc, they don’t know anything about the show, but they all enjoy the animation and the song, as do I, and it’s simply amazing to create something that has that effect😊✨
This needs to be what Marinette would be if she ever gets akumatized. The character design is stunning, and the powers and so powerful, it would be an amazing watch! Loved the animatic, great job!

Same here because the romantic relationship between the two main characters weren't really all that enough anymore, but seeing this , truly makes the normal teenage superheroes that we got seem so much more magnificent than when it started and unlike in the original plot we can actually feel the pain the characters are feeling and we're finally seeing it from all angles to fully understand what's going on.

The thing is Nooroo using his power without a holder but built off of a POSITIVE emotion to make a hero might genuinely be enough to overthrow Hawkmoth as long as it doesnt get too out of hand.... then maybe the hero would get addicted to their power and turn sides out of greed and become the worlds strongest villain... but if they were just a genuinely amazing hero Nooroo could singlehandedly solve the entire series.

I watched this animatic so many times already and every time I just see its thumbnail pop up on my page I can't help but stop to appreciate what a masterpiece it is. I loved everything! the animation style, the use of gray, white and black and only purple for the akumatization sign. As well of the idea of an akumatized marinette. I honestly feel she would be a very powerful akuma, not only for being ladybug, but because how is her personality, sometimes letting her emotions get the best of her but most of the time she has to get over it because of her role as the guardian and being ladybug at the same time. Like honestly how has that woman not become crazy?
Also also!! I just love the idea of Chloe using the bee miraculous once more. I loved her design as the bee holder as well as how better she became while using it. I dont dislike Zoe, its a cute, nice and good person, despite how bad her social live was on NY. But its just that i prefer Queen bee... so yeah , Yay Queen bee!!

Honestly SAME. Like, she gets no therapy, no discipline, and no kind of training to cope with being Ladybug and eventually a guardian but she also...never gets akumatized? Wtf? She'd absolutely be a powerful akuma, definitely on the same level as Chat Blanc, possibly even above since their akumatizations stem from different kinds of pain, but it sucks the show never addresses the fact that she should've been akumatized/almost akumatized long ago and multiple times. People have gotten akumatized for far less but Mari's somehow special with no training whatsoever? Sure.
I love everything about this. The animation fits the lyrics so well while still being faithful to the show. I also want to point out how we can almost hear what they are saying just with their visual expression. Something around the lines of :

Sometimes I like to think that Marinette is the akuma instead of the akuma being in an item, and couldn't just be simply broken out of her trance. That they'd have to try harder to figure out how to save her or whether she could be saved

Marinette got akumatized by noroo. Noroo can create very powerful akumatized people (without a holder) he can’t take their powers away unless the problem is solved.

I was especially touched by the presentation of the Hawk Moth/Gabriel not as an absolute evil, but as a human being.
I have two ideas:
Nuru has already had enough of Gabriel's emotions and has found a new source of strength. What could be stronger than the pain of losing a loved one? An even greater loss.
Even after the luck of the Accumulator, Adrian continued to reach out to her...

This video has been in my recommended videos for a while. I'm only just now watching it. Tears filled my eyes by the end. I'm the type of person who likes to try to feel and understand why a person feels some way, in real life and videos/shows. The pain and the overwhelming sense of duty to Paris pour out of Marinette. The entire way this was done....there really aren't words for how incredible this video is. The design, the characters, the music, the way the characters act as the scenes play out, the transitions between scenes, the particles, the reveal to Hawkmoth of Chat Noir being his son, the emotions from each character, the ideas behind it, everything. Everything is done so beautifully. I hope there's a part two to show the aftermath and so I can know if Marinette comes back to her friends. What got me the most was the last scene, with Gabriel and Marinette in a world only they could see. When Gabriel was breaking down in tears in regret, Marinette showed how she was still there and forgave him.
The only way to end this is by saying well done. This was incredible and your hard work comes through.

I cried so much while watching this. I felt the pain all of them. As Gabriel's, Adrien's and Marientte's pain. That was so intense, so emotional. What a piece of art.

This is incredible. You can feel the intensity of the situation in every moment, and see just out of hand it gets. I love the Nooroo was the one to do this and not Adrien's father, just to show how Nooroo's handling things at this point. It's nice to see Adrien's father realize the error of his ways and work with the heroes to try and stop this, since he realized he's made a massive mistake hurting all of these people. I can genuinely see this as an ending to the show, and seeing it end this way would be epic and heartbreaking. I can't wait to see where you go with your art and storytelling next.
