      And they basically tried to get the neighbor killed as well -- they were safe as long as they were in their own house, but taking them OUTSIDE and getting them in a car etc puts everyone in danger. I think the cops did everything they could to make this worse.

      @@slamcrank I live in the area (lake co, where one of the responding swat teams was from), no one wants to be a cop because the crime rate is insanely high. I worked at a car dealership and we had 9 stolen cars in one night, and they were almost always stolen daily. It's crazy lol.

    • @TheQuantumPotato
      @TheQuantumPotato 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +102

      That cop just blasting away at the house is ridiculous too. Seconds later he's on the radio saying he doesn't have eyes on, so he's just firing blindly at the house. No idea if there are innocent bystanders in the property (they later find out he also has an adult son who lives with him) and could have easily hit his colleague standing in the porch. I know it's easy to criticise split-second decisions, but the point is this wasn't a split-second decision, he got behind a car and peeked out several times to fire blindly towards the house. Then his next bright idea is to "lay down fire," as if the other officer's only escape route isn't right through the fire he's going to be laying down. Just dumb. Luckily the other officer stuck on the porch seemed to have more sense.

      Instead, he’s shouting that he’s going to start giving covering fire while Lindsey makes a run for it-presumptively through the line of fire?
      Oh and then they tossed a point blank flashbang at a limp body that had a gunshot wound to the head instead of just securing the gun and starting medical treatment.
      These officers couldn’t save a fucking word document, let alone a life.

    As a gun owner and avid target shooter it is EXTREMELY distressing to me that cop just started shooting at the house with no idea where the guy was or who all were in the house. One of the four rules of gun safety is to know your target and what is beyond it so you hit what you want while limiting the risk of hitting something or someone you don't wish to hit. Just wild to me he fired like that with not just no idea where the guy was but with his partner in the cone of fire.

      The eviction was simply the last straw. The guy basically could have stubbed his toe and decided it was time to end it all. He was just done with life. Most people will never understand what that feels like and that’s good but some people just get into a rut and can’t see any light and lose all hope and will to live. If he was going to end it he shouldn’t have brought others into his drama though and fired the shots at the officers. He should have just ended himself with one shot so he could at least have kept some dignity.. or decided not to be a selfish POS and used his life to contribute something to the world. He was just entirely self absorbed. Being a selfish, self absorbed person and not winning at life is a bad combination. Ive been there. I’m working and trying to do my part in society but I see why people get where he is. If I decide to end it I’m doing it quietly and alone. It will probably be when I’m about his age, if I make it that far, and once my child is raised and knows what she needs to know to survive in this world and I pay this mortgage off so she’ll at least have a home in this nightmare. Condolences to all hurt during this tragedy. Chad McGraw, who was in a dark place, and that lady that broke her own ribs while stopping in the middle of a firefight instead of driving away. What an absolute menagerie.

    Officer Lindsey probably the only officer with his head on his shoulders. Honestly, given the fact that you hear chatter about the other officer serving in the Middle East, I gotta wonder if he had a minor PTSD episode and panicked that his partner was in a bad situation because of something that happened there.
    Lindsey, while not in an ideal situation, was in a safe position. In no way could McGraw go after Lindsey without exposing himself to the police, and Lindsey would have seen McGraw first had McGraw tried. Lindsey was in more danger from his fellow police officers with potential crossfire, especially with his panicked partner telling him to run through a hail of his own bullets. The fact that they didn't scout with a drone before rescuing Lindsey put themselves in unnecessary danger as well. It just further the suspicion I have that something might have happened when that dude was deployed in the military that screwed up his priorities without realizing that Lindsey was, for the situation he was stuck in, relatively fine

      I was just thinking to myself. He was stuck there, but if he had have ran past the doorway, he'd be in the target area for about 0.5 seconds. Do you reckon the 70 year old man could have raised his weapon and shot him in that time? IMO he would have to already be pre-aiming through the doorway and waiting to even get close to hitting him. It's really not worth the risk cause he could be sitting there aiming through just waiting for him

    Anyone else notice that the police completely made up both the explosives and son threats? Not to mention Lindsey's partner constantly giving away his position or the two dudes where one of them is talking oh so sweet to the neighbor and the other is biting her head off. That whole thing was handled pretty unprofessional including before the gunfight.
