- It's finished West Brom 0-1 Sunderland this afternoon where the SAFC players turned up in the retro 1992 Fa Cup Final Tracksuits.
A game that was changed after the sending off of Brandon Thomas Asante saw Pierre Ekwah score the all important goal.
Callum Styles would be my man of the match today in what was his best game in a Sunderland shirt.

West Brom and Leeds must love Mike Dodds we beat West Brom twice took four points of Leeds. We played very well today three points is three points. It was a bit of a boring game but we took our chance now roll on the next game with Millwall on Saturday.
Been a great week results wise.Dont think anyone expected 4 points from the Leeds and WBA!Today we took advantage of the Asante sending off.Great corner in from Styles,Ekwah with an excellent finish!Dan Neil had another decent effort.Styles,our best player for us,followed by Rigg.Negatives,abit sloppy on the ball and Clarke needs to look up and find his teammates!

Wayne great result the football naff from both sides there was no need for wba to go all guns blazing they need to pace themselves for the playoffs and you could see that. Having said that its all now down to starting the rebuild for next season and we all know thats going to be a proper rollercoaster ride with this blockhead speakman it will be interesting.....in a couple of months im a pensioner so my ticket will be more affordable thank the lord catch you later wayne thanks for all the info on your site.👍

The only two good things about this display were that we stopped WBA from scoring and we managed to get the three points. I suppose we should be pleased BUT.......
Delighted with the win! Not really expected and we were not at our best but WBA were worse. Jobe still too slow and Clarke had his worst game IMO….giving the ball away and poor passes. Guess Dodds will be our cost saving next coach😢 Oh No!
obviously the sending off was a big factor but at least we used it to our advantage and we got the goal, fantastic volley by Ekwah, would've been nice to have made the game a bit more comfortable especially with the man advantage but it's 3 points and a clean sheet against a very good side so well done to the team today

@@onlyfoolsandsafc aye the clean sheets and being more solid defensively is a positive but going forward especially into next season we need some really good attack minded quality additions cos it's gonna be harder when Clarke goes as well, big summer ahead for this lot to get it right, whether they do or not is a different story
Well Wayne I don't sell the 1st half because I was at work and your right I thought it was 11 against 11 the 2nd and definitely riggs and styles were the best players on the pitch jobe was his usual self 🐌 he didn't brake his neck to get the ball when he was 1n on 1n with the keeqper 💩 TBH but a good away win bring on not season evenif we loose Clark Patterson roberts hume ballard and neil .. might scrape the play offz or finish in the same position 🤔🤔 Wayne

A lackluster first half to be honest as you said Wayne and the red card was instrumental in us being able to camp out in their half for long periods in the second half, good to see Ekwah getting back to good form and both Pembelle and Styles did well in the wingback role from what I made out from the commentary on the radio, special mention to Chris Rigg who should be playing full 90min games until the end of the season and the club should be looking to build a team around him and his fellow midfielders. Club business over the summer is going to be very interesting as to how it sets us up for the next campaign, over to you Mr. Speakman, prove me wrong.
Well said John. 100% agree on Rigg. There commentator today compared him to Lionel Messi the way he moves ❤️. Styles had his best game for us by a mile and Pembele getting better with each game. Let’s hope we can finish the season strong. Cheers 🔴⚪️
@@onlyfoolsandsafc I think Rigg is ahead of Jobe in just about every department Wayne and if the club fail to tie him down with his first pro contract they should hang their heads in shame because we'll be able to give him the regular football he craves and I want him to stay and make his name with us.

The team in it's entirety, played well today by taking full advantage of the deficit of wba. We have won a full 3 points and won what is known as a quiet game. We can't win by a cap full every game and take this as a big positive and a clean sheet as well. So hopefully this might shut some of the moaning fans up and I do think that the team and management team have been over criticised at times. After all , they know more about football than we do , so let's get totally behind the team and management and re ignite our faith and trust in the team and club .S/ land till I die 👍👍

It was absolutely awful to watch & if not for the brain fart of the WBA player allowing us to have ONE shot on target then this game was heading for another drab bore 0-0 due to Deputy Dodds new masterful tactics of sticking 10 men behind the ball..
Bring in a new coach & backroom staff with new ideas & hopefully some time served proper players…🧐👍🏻

I thought you were a little harsh on the lads who nullified a team going for top 6, although we created little but that happens when you don’t have a proper striker.
