I don't think people realise just how much better it works bending the two pins vs just the one. I get a HELL of a lot more response's with the two pins bent!! I think people are just getting mixed up between static and white noise. Bending the one pin gets rid of the mute so you can hear between stations as its scanning, but bending the other as well doesn't make the white noise in between stations louder but has an interesting effect on how static like the radio is when picked up as its attempting to run the radio in stereo on a mono speaker . I've actually tried both as an experiment and can honestly say the entities/spirits can actually manipulate the radio easier when the two pins are bent, maybe this is because the audio is just slightly distorted enough making manipulation of audio easier.
you only need the top left pin. If you bend the two pins the static is loud. If you just push back the top left the static is almost non existent. I dont know why anyone would want more static?
Hi. I have a retekess V-112 digital am fm portable radio. I've seen ghost box hacks for many, but none for this one. Anyway you could help me out? --Doc Lykins

What if that model doesn't have pins but only a ribbon strip?
Thanks I am going to get one of these and I needed to figure that out and your video has been the most helpful
I can't find this model anymore. I only find the 1200587. That one has a different circuit board. There are no pins to bend.
Do you have a video showing how to hack the newer version?
I'm looking to know how to hack the newer version myself
What is you have the one with the ribbon cable? Are you out of luck?
I have this scanning hacked radio but in the middle of scanning it will stop scanning. Is there away to stop it from stopping scanning?
Mine hangs up on a radio station after scanning. Any clue? About to open it up and check the pins
I always thought it was just one pin you needed to bend. Why the two pins? Thanks.

2 pins bend back less static...
@@jbath39 Are you 100% sure?
@@JORDANDAVIES30 yes I have two 12-587 I did a test on them and 2 bend back no static
@@jbath39 Thanks dude
Looking for a hack to get AM step scan to 9khz instead of NA 10khz. I'll post an answer when found! Thanks!

It worcks with all radios the same pines?
Would you ever consider selling this?
Can you hack the Radio Shack Model 12-820 the same way I forget, thanks for the video
No, each model has a different way to hack
Nice
