I forgot how much i missed him until rewarching these. He qasnt politically correcr, made jokes, spoke real facts not about creating drama. He was amazing
I was 1 years old in September 2002 when I watch SportsCenter with Stuart Scott and Dan Patrick....😢 I miss his HELLA exciting quotes that made me smile, I was a fan of MLB all along did enjoy some highlights and man I sure do miss those days.
Born in 1996. This takes me back to a happy place I haven't felt in awhile. Lots of great memories tuning in before school with my brother who is no longer with us. Or nice summer nights with the window open in CT. Some school nights when I couldn't sleep, I'd listen to the same SC/Baseball tonight episode 2 or 3 times. I sure do miss the early 2000's. At the risk of rosy nostalgia, sports were so lovely then. I was addicted to that era of the NBA and MLB. Wiffle ball baseball in the street, manhunt in everyones yards at night. A lot of things were though I guess. What a wonderful time those days were.
As a 2001 baby born and raised in West Palm Beach FLA 🌴🏖️🏙️🌴 I get a chance to watch some MLB games on ESPN in that era ooh man seeing those 90s players retiring before 2002 I get the chills when I first saw the Expos, Including Baseball Tonight and SportsCenter. Then after 9/11, I'll never forget watching game 4 of the 2001 World Series on FOX I literally got the chills when Derek Jeter became Mr. November. And that was the time I became a Yankees fan.
The year was 1998, I was a 8 year old kid and my dad past away from a heart attack. I used to make a bed in the living room staying up late watching Stuart Scott by myself. Although the times were hard Stuart Scott always made me feel better. 🙏
My favorite team right there. I loved watching sport center with Stuart Scott and/or Dan Patrick (note the double first names lol) Anyway, I haven’t watched ESPN since Stuart passed.
This was when they had amazing sports video games. 2K NFL football and NBA basketball. EA had Madden and MVP baseball. It was a great time to be a sports fan during this time. Only playable game now today is NBA 2K basketball.
I remember how sad Scott was when Darrant Williams got killed after denvers season ended in 05. He was never afraid of emotions and spoke truth with jokes like an everyday person.. I wish i appreciated him more.
I was 19 at the time, and had just graduated from high school a few months earlier. These sure were the days, when sports was my biggest passion, and when ESPN was still considered to be must see TV unlike now though. 😞
Damn, this was when baseball had relevance. Steroids really turned people away, and World Series ratings had been dropping since 2000 anyway - exceptions notwithstanding.
I bought my childhood home from my parents a few years back. The other day I went into my childhood bedroom laid in bed and put this on for a bit… The flashbacks to my childhood falling asleep to THIS Sportscenter came back in waves 🥲
Sportscenter in the late 1990s/early 2000s was AWESOME. I used to stay up late at night and watch re-runs as a kid.
Literally went to bed everynight as a kid/teenager with SC reruns on
Damn shame how far ESPN has fallen
R.I.P., Stuart Scott. Early 2000s nostalgia. I miss this era of ESPN...

I miss all the NCAA basketball games. The football too of course, but I really had a passion for some of the basketball games back then.
And you could hear highlight music from the old SportsCenter back then in those games as well!
I just recorded last night's sportscenter on my VHS. Looks just as nostalgic.
God I miss this era! RIP STU
Would always watch this in the locker room in high school before or after gym class.
Thanks for this full upload 👍
I used to watch SC everyday before high school ,this takes me back to

Do you happen to have sports center from February 15, 2002?
I think we can all say this was the GOLDEN age of SC. Todays program does not even come close to this presentation
Yes exactly
Mid 90s-Early 2000s sportscenter Era will never and I mean never ever will be touch at all
Cooler than the other side of the pillow!!
Stuart Scott was so talented
Just a Day before NEWS era of Disney Channel known as the Bounce Era September 30, 2002 through January 24, 2007.
I was born six days after this 😂
@@learningvideosbynikhil8308 24 Hours after the Bounce Era, Cartoon Network Celebrates it 10th Birthday.

Awwwwwesome!
The time of Tom green and jackass.
ESPN programming without the gay/trans or race narrative shoved in my face. Couldn’t happen today
Cool !
