- Triumph Daytona 675 Rebuild - Part 4: Nose Cone & More! 🏍️
Welcome back, gearheads! In this week’s episode of my Triumph Daytona 675 rebuild project, we’re diving into some exciting upgrades!
What’s on the agenda?
Front Nose Cone: We’ll be cleaning it up and giving it a fresh look!
Rear Wheel & Rear End: Time to shine things up and ensure it’s in top shape.
Bent Gear Lever: Let’s replace that worn-out lever for smooth shifting!

Ball joint for gear links: these should have a little foam pad to ensure any grease stays put and help prevent grit getting in. They perish easily. Not sure if Triumph sell them separately, sure someone does after-market ones on eBay. You could always make your own out of some medium density foam, just cut with a craft knife, they don’t need to be perfect but should have a snug fit and not interfere with the movement.
Good point mate I forgot that, thank you 👍
Yes my tiger is the same
Cheers, something else I don’t need to fix 😂
Hi Patches! Thx for the vids mate and love the bike! I might have missed it but was just curious what degreaser you were using? No issues with paint fade etc? Thx
Hi Tim, the degreaser is XCP I’ve had an issue with it in terms of paint fade but there stronger degreasers out there if you have heavy dirt. Link below mate.
