What do you think of Ostuni 😊? Purchase shares in great masterpieces from artists like Pablo Picasso, Banksy, Andy Warhol, and more: www.masterworks.art/justdreamitaly
I find it very unique and interesting how distinct furniture choices are in Italy (at least based on these videos). In the US, we always have cushiony sofas in the middle and usually a soft arm chair or two in the corners and less open space and definitely less centrally located dining tables. (unless it’s a designated dining area) . Notably, UK furnishing for instance, looks very similar to what we have in the US. But Italy seems very different. I wonder if anyone noticed this.? Also, the number of wooden sitting chairs 🪑 in various spaces is also very peculiar!! Anyways, wonderful videos! Enjoy them a lot!
Ostuni-Gallipoli-Monopoli-Polignano a Mare-Fasano-Lecce-Brindisi is my favourite triangle in puglia. Beautiful beaches, great food and drinks all provided by people that know how to live very close to heaven, while firmly rooted to their home soil.
LOVE the first home! If I ever got it, here's what I would do to it: Turn the first floor into a reception foyer - convert the adorable little kitchen into a powder/laundry room. Where the refrigerator is will become a storage closet for cleaning paraphernalia, and then add all the bells and whistles like beautiful artwork, a dramatic gilded mirror, a console, some seating, a nice entryway table for a large vase with flowers and even a shoe closet! One the main floor, I would turn the first room as you arrive into the kitchen adding the space of the tiny bathroom to the kitchen. On the opposite end where the couch is, I would have a cool dining banquet seating. I will maintain the living room as is (stunning space!) and then followed by the master bedroom and the last room will be converted into a luxurious spacious bathroom where you can languish for hours - dual vanity, shower stall, bathtub and toilet. Dreamy!
This is one of the places I would love to buy a home. Its such a wonderful place. The sunsets are amazing (even though its on the east cost lol)! Its the location and hight of Ostuni that make the sunsets crazy beautiful! And yes the sea is so close. We went in July ‘22 and there was NO one on those beaches… it was crazy. I miss my local cafe I would go to every morning. - I love Ostuni.
The view of Ostuni was magical, but it was not possible to come walking and we had to take a taxi the last part. The townhouse we lived in had a steep stair and the streets were difficult for my husband. We were there with small children so we spend most of the time in the park. We missed the church, you make everything seem so exclusive.
yes some of these small villages/houses are not easily accessible for people with medical issues or elderly or anybody who can't walk that well. So yes it is good to take that into account when buying a house. I noticed some of the apartments also have (steep) stairs so not always accessible to all people.

Another lovely episode of homes, culture, and of course, food! 😍 Ostuni is really unique. Would it be right to say it has a lot of Greek influence in the architecture and general feeling of the place?
Hi Marco we are loving your videos and actually heading to Manduria next month. Just wondering if you know of a good car park where we could leave/ patk our hire car on an overnight basis as we are staying in the holistically old town.
your videos are great. I have a suggestion - that you include the price during the video (rather than in the comments section) - you can best do this with an on screen post production edit so that an overlay with price, sq meters, bedrooms - shows up on screen in white type while the vid is running - keep up the good work
Pretty sure he has a good reason not to include prices in the video. Like if the prices change - it's much easier to update the description than edit a video.
We loved Ostuni although it’s a very steep hilltop large city. Parking would only be street parking even in these more expensive homes. We were grateful to explore this city with a driver! We enjoyed Beautiful food! Grazie per averlo condiviso.
The City looks lovely and the food clearly delicious. I have got to make a comment about the very claustraphobic feel in some parts--in all honesty, I could not live here due to such narrow passageways that would make me feel hemmed in. Including the townhouse. I am not that tall either but wow, height restrictions tbs on the townhome. I could not even go inside. I love your videos 🌺💝and the places are very beautiful with a rich history and the lifestyle very inviting; however, there are some caveats to certain properties. Happy Day to you & Brave Onwards! 💐🕊🌞 ~
You seem in such a rush to show these. I did not see a single fireplace in the second palazzo, nor a boiler for the radiators, what few I could see. One of those rooms has to become a second bathroom. As large as it is, the price on that one seems really steep. Ostuni seems a really beautiful city. Maybe you can do a walking tour of it. People forget that before the Roman empire, the Greeks colonized Cicily and southern Italy. My family on my father's side is Greek Italian from southern Italy. I'd love to live out my days there close to the sea.
Great footage of a lovely city. But as a permanent residence? Ostuni requires a lot of climbing, so not that ideal for pensioners. But the main concern are the increasing heatwaves and the drought in southern Europe. A country like Italy has already big issues with the water supplies. Take all that in consideration before buying real estate.
My Ostuni specialist told me: Ostuni is "sitting on water" that comes down from the elevated plains behind it. Swimming pools are abundant and if you swim in Torre Pozzelle you can feel the cold freshwater wells streaming into the warm seawater. If you need a more spacious place with big ground floor living space consider looking in the surrounding campagna. Just my thoughts. You will need to research and think for yourself.
@@thedude579 Right, and where does the water on the elevated plains come from? I suspect rainwater... With increasing drought the natural water resources will not be resupplied enough, I'm afraid.
What do you think of Ostuni 😊?

"Fashionable" is code for overpriced tourist town, and there are too many people there to secure the 7% flat tax for retirees.

I really like it when you draw a little map of the floor plan. It helps me understand the layout better.
Moving soon... fall in love with the city!
Love your channel, just stumbled on it yesterday. Also love the cat shots in a lot of your vids. Cheers.
The second house is nice, the floors and ceilings are very nice.

How have the prices in Puglia suddenly gotten this high?
Ostuni tends to be at least 50-75% more expensive than most other towns. In Carovigno, 10km away you’ll find properties for 50-60k.
Please...price?

In the description box, as mentioned in the video.
What are the prices for these 2 homes?????
They are in the description under the video and in the chapters. 250k for the townhouse and 750k for the palazzo.

During the plague, if you were infected they would paint your house white so everyone knew to avoid you. Later it just stuck. Now it's normal.

Very expensive
All of these homes just scream for wooden floors. what is the italian obsession with tiles or marble floors, wood would be so much better.
Make your own art.
Those with money are buying simple. Shame as Italians can’t even find a job . That’s life I guess
