The camera work in the original God of War trilogy is legendary! 🔥 How did the camera angles make YOU feel while playing? Let me know your favorite moments in the comments!
This is what truly lacking in newer GoW games. By pulling the camera back and forced the audience to admire your world, you have made something truly epic. The giant steed that pulled islands? Giant Ares in the background of GOW 1? The entire Rhodes Giant fight? The entire Hecatoncheires fight in GoW Ascension? This is what makes the 'Adventure' genre in GoW truly magnificent
@@RustyGamerrr i doubt fixed cameras would work well in an open world setting. I think all Santa Monica needs to do is get rid of the one shot camera thing they started and then maybe switch between third person and fixed camera depending on the scenario, thoughts on this idea?
Dude, so much appreciated that you talk about this. I feel like the OG God of War games are the prime example of how a fixed camera can be done right. It was always so cinematic and you always saw what you were supposed to see without it being a hinderance to your gameplay.
Absolutely! The camera work in those games really felt like you're in an epic movie. It made sure you see all the cool action while still letting you be in control of Kratos.
@@RustyGamerrr Agreed. There's really too many good shots to point out here so I would rather mention one that I'm sure is not considered anything special by many. It's in the first GoW right when you enter the room for the Challenge of Hades. And I'm talking exactly about the moment those words actually appeared on the screen and you walked into that large hall. It's rather unspectacular compared to so many other moments but to me if was just a big "WHOA!!!" moment the first time I've seen it. On a different note, how do you have only this few subscribers? Immediately subbed. Keep up the good work.^^
thanks! ❤️ There's simply no other way in God of War to truly capture the colossal scale of the Titans or those sky-scraping temples without the fixed camera angles.
The classic gameplay mechanics of the older God of War games were undeniably phenomenal! I'm a bit bummed that the Norse games changed a lot of the good stuff. If you're interested, I have a video on my channel about this topic. 🔥 . God Of War | Mastering The Chains Vs Mastering Atreus th-cam.com/video/2FXfZXnkhzo/w-d-xo.html
They forgot, the spin-off games in PS3 and PS5 Edition. I didn't play these games, right now. But the arena and move sets are amazing in video games. But you know I'm busy right now, I love bloodshed games. God of War: Chains of Olympus (2008) God of War: Ghost of Sparta (2010) God of War: Ascension (2013)
The old camera was amazing in 1-3 (still not sure about 3 100% but still) HOWEVER, talk about Ascension where the camera zooms out 1000 miles in the MIDDLE of a fight while you're riding a SNAKE surrounded by 10 enemies, yeah only main entries were good it seems. haven't played CoO and GoS yet so I can't tell, still struggling on Ascension

Old Camera>New Camera
the old camera in the god of war series was showing you the great mapping and landscape even with the limits of the ps2
absolutely, It was the best of its kind in that time. timeless art 🔥

agreed 👌✅
This feels nostalgic
Finally someone who speaks my language 😌
Thanks for the comment. Glad you liked it. 🔥❤️
You forgot the 2 god of war games on psp the camera angles is great too ❤
of course they are great too ❤️
I hate how Santa Monica doubled down on the camera in Ragnarok. One of the worst camera setting ever. No way the gameplay should be all zoomed in.
It could have been way more epic than it was, if they used fixed cameras.

@@PeachBBX That will definitely work!
Finally someone appreciating the old camera angle
Thanks for the comment! I could literally talk about those games all day long.
One of the many reasons why I prefer the og games to the new ones.

Thanks man, I really appreciate it.
Not only camera but game itself is goated all of them🗿 got all platinums
God of war trilogy had the best camera showing the scale of the titans how big they are, glad somebody appreciate this type
thanks! ❤️ There's simply no other way in God of War to truly capture the colossal scale of the Titans or those sky-scraping temples without the fixed camera angles.
the new games feels like a skyrim-darksoul copy in gameplay
I couldn't agree more! ❤

Old are better than new they look natural to me.
The old God of War games felt truly epic and boasted unique design choices.
Hey congrats on getting the views you deserve don't worry your subs will grow too just keep at it
thank you, i really appreciate it.
Ofc it is... Only "god of war" related thing in these new games is Kratos

God of War: Chains of Olympus (2008)

God of War: Ascension (2013)
New camera makes no damn sense and the combat is a downgrade
Old camera angle is best 😢❤️
definitely is ❤️🔥
Yes 100% absolutely
I prefer old camera bcuz the new one not give me a good advantage to dodge enemy attack from behind

@@RustyGamerrr Thank for the link that was awesome man ! I'll let you know if it answered my concerns in a bit :)
@@RustyGamerrr Just seen it fully and replied there too, it's not too in depth about the camera but still a good video man.
Now that you mention it, the camera in Ghost of sparta was also noticably worse than in the main trilogy.
pogu man
Old is gold ❌ Old is Diamond ✅
agreed 🔥
