The only steam excursion I have done was the empress 2816 owned by Canadian pacific and it took me to Milton Ontario and back again to Toronto Ontario back in 2003
I have a emotional 😭 attachment to diesel locomotives and I don’t want to see them go but I do have the same reaction to steam locomotives as well so thank you thunderbolt 1000 siren 🚨 productions
Ah yes. The sequel for the inspiration for my main locomotive documentary series, Remarkable Engines. Thank you very much for showing my comment on the original video.
Very amazing video of Canadian National 1533. It’s quite a shame that this old 4-6-0 “Ten-Wheeler” from Canada is no longer in service anymore, but I am really hoping one day that Canadian National 1533 will be back in service by another heritage railroad or something. I am going to be at the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad later this month, June 2023. So I am possibly going to be seeing Canadian National 1533 at the NH&I’s shop complex soon.
I haven't watched the first two but after seeing this one I am definitely going back to those two to check them out great video it was very interesting keep up the good work
I remember visiting the railroad and seeing an old steam locomotive behind the station near a bunch of overgrowth, could you give us a tour of the new home area? I'd love to see what's beyond the station.
This was a really cool video to watch! I hope that you keep this series going, the NHIR has a really interesting collection. You should really check out 3028, it has an interesting story behind it.
@@Thunderbolt_1000_Siren Thats very true, plus the lack of updates has made it hard to find information on, someday I hope they finish the restoration, if it is still even going.
@@kosmostimber1174 It's been on hold for years. New Hope has had a ton on their plate to the point 3028 is a long term goal. They got 40 to look after, the diesels they reserve for the excursions/freight, and maintaining PN's fleet (New Hope's freight subsidiary)
Could you do a video about the Edaville railroad? It is a story that rail fans need hear. How the south shore cranberry king saved the little trains of Maine and how his successor established steamtown
Hey Thunderbolt, there was a derailment of nearly 30 rail cars near my home town today. It would be amazing if you could cover it at some point. It was in Albert Lea MN
I remember 1533 as a kid. She had a beautiful deep whistle. Which can be heard on the Semaphore Records recording of her. It's very similar to the CN whistle SRC 89 sometimes carries.
I absolutely adore these old CN trains and original cars. The two I remember most fondly is CN 6069 (U-1-F 4-8-2) which sits on display in Sarnia, Onatrio, just opposite to Port Huron, Michigan and baggage car 9626 that sits beside the Via Rail Station in Chatham, Ontario.
If I understood correctly, NH&I only had the three steamers. But maybe “new hope” could be broadened to mean hope for engines NEWly or soon to be returned to steam: Reading 2100, Pennsy K4, East Broad Top (16, 17, or 18?), etc…
2:20 Look carefully and you'll see two US army 0-6-0's I believe the one closest is 7 7 has been widely forgotten as it never operated on the NHRR, and was parted out for 9. Most of it's life was spent on a former quarry spur in Buckingham as a husk of a locomotive before being scrapped in if I remember right, 1970. Her legacy however lives on as so many of her parts were used on 9, the engine is basically half 7. If you do an episode on 9, 7's existence might be a good detail not to miss.
Also, 4:05, I would like to point out at the time the regular terminus was Buckingham. The siding at Lahaska would not be constructed until the 90's. But I was blown away by the amount of information and accuracy in your video. Well done!
You honestly have no idea the cost and labor it'd take to get 1533 operating again. Not to mention the time too on top of maintaining 40, the diesels, and even PN's fleet
thanks for the train vids my man, goin threw a train phase an urs a great espcially when baked haha. cheers but yea thanks for putting the energy into making all these an yea. god bless

Next you should do Frisco 1522
Well technically 1522 was never a New Hope engine so he probably won’t do it...
I really hope 1533 will get a cosmetic restoration one day. That poor old girl is just rotting away.
It’s not great but it’s better than the deadline or worse
The scrappers torch.
They tried doing a complete restoration but instead of restoring 3028 they should restore the 1533 at least a cosmetic like you said
It’s very unlikely
There's talks about getting a shop expansion in order to accommodate the restoration of 1533
@@fermitthekrog6318 i doubt New hope railroad would do that they have enough engines running
I was just wondering when a new episode of this would come out but I would never pester you because I know it takes time
I appreciate that. Wish there were more people like you
True words were never spoken
He is also doing the engine I want next and I'm honored to have him to reply to my comment
I don't like to pester anyone either. I keep this saying,"the less I pester, the less time it will take".
Make more train crashes videos
Southern pacific 2472 would be good
Engineer _really_ loves that whistle! Hopefully 1533 can run again someday.
Well I think I’m going to restore cn 1533 and get her running again in 2022
@@StephentrainboyRailfanbrony Yeah that's very unlikely.
I hope you're right.
Because I'm wishing the same thing.
My Grandfather was an engineer and ran the 1533 in the early 1970s. His name was Hal Bortz. I have additional photos of him in the cab.

3028 would be a challenge. It hasn't officially run on New Hope's tracks since arriving so the only history behind it would be it's origins.

Also today is the 32nd anniversary of the 1989 cajon pass runaway
Also?

About the thing about 1392 she is actually in Edmonton she was only in settler for the Canada 150 anniversary

as a Canadian the way you pronounced Saskatchewan and Manitoba hurts me lol
I tried my best :(
Can u do the moorgate train crash from 1975
0:27 *boiler explosion noise*
Do more of this it’s so cool!
I really like your videos about trains I watch a lot of your videos
Loved the video, lad. While 1533’s future may seem bleak, I’m cautiously optimistic about the engine’s future.
Can you do a documentary of all the reading t1.
Coopersville & marn that's just north of Grand Rapids Michigan
Amazing Video As usual, I had the pleasure of seeing 1533 at new hope, sadly just in the back of the sheds resting rusted paint chipped and rotten
Can you do a history of the New Hope Branch?
That was awesome top job mate. I seriously need to do engines of V/Line ep2 soon.
So sad to see 1533 sitting and rusting in her shed

You should do the fatal onboard fire in England, Norfolk. I think it happened in the year 2010-2012
5:09 40 sounds like 3254 a little bit actually
Quick thing could you make a video about the mortgate tube incident
Now you need to do new hope profile usa 9

3:53 1920s steel coaches? They began to appear in the 1930s
Actually no. They didn’t. Some date back to the 1910s.
hey check out Museum in Toronto at St.John Roundhouse. With Some historic Locomotives .
Potential idea: NH&I 7087 since she was in your quickly made Halloween video in 2021. Dunno if there’s enough info to make a video on her.
congrats to you for 2.1k views on your first upload
0:27 huh I was not expecting to see my comment appear in the video but it was quite the surprise
Great video!
a have a question for you do you really like posting a train incedents a lot of years ago
You should do a video on the East Broad Top railroad, a group is bringing that railroad back to life
Can you do the camp creek train wreck of 1900 in McDonough ga
enjoyed this video
Could u do a video on the lewishman train crash 1957 plssss it’s my favorite train crash pls
Ah the Hotel Remix on the intro is fire
I love the way he pronounces Manitoba and Saskatchewan
Why can't they get her, at least, undercover and out of the elements? Keep up the good work!
Hey Thunderbolt, what is that large loco in the background at 2:42?
Will you do another Engines of Septa?
We work with strictly cn at my job. Wish we could see steam pulling cars at the elevator loading
So what’s the story with the one always in the back of the property where is the boiler just sitting on the frame with a set of wheels ?
That literally is 1533. I even mentioned that's her in the video
If it’s possible can you talk about some diesels Of CN??
When will you do number 9
Why just a sole surviving locomotive
When are you gonna do number 9

7 was also one of 9's sister hence her being cannibalized for parts so I will indeed mention 9's lesser known sister.
She also has 3 more sister Morris County Central 4039 and 2 at heritage park historical village

It didn’t ran on the railroad so I don’t think he will do 3028.
when will No. 9 be out

Make a video about 1987 bintaro tragedy
Make Another Crash Documentary!

Do experimental trains from the world
