I'm doing my second year BEng Chemical Engineering at the North West University. I completely agree with the guy, Chemical Engineering is not at all about chemistry😂. You learn about Engineering principles that are involved in industrial processes. So far I have done; Thermodynamics, material balance and energy balance. It is also mathematically intense, you do calculus I, II and III, Linear algebra, Engineering mechanics: Statics and dynamics. And you write weekly tutorial tests on these modules which contribute to your participation mark. APS: 34. Math and Physics level 6 and English level 5. There are plenty of opportunities in Engineering guys❤
Woah I too started at tuks. I did 1 year of bsc geography and environmental science. I only did it cause I applied on the last day as was the only one open. Never intended to do graduate with it( I should have taken a gap year). Transferred to Unisa to do accounting last year and immediately took a transfer to wits where I'm doing first year accounting too but got some credits from Unisa. It's been a long journey(this will be my third year of study like you). Got friends who'll be graduating next year(its really discouraging and I feel like a disappointment) but Ik that no one is gonna get that degree for my and I try to push my self to do it even though I'm burnt out😅. 3 Universities in 3 years is crazy tbh.
Got accepted at Uj for accounting science too but I decided to go to wits even tho I know that UJ is really good. When I applied at uj and wits last year for accounting science. I didn't think I even had a chance cause they give matriculants first choice but to my surprise I got really lucky and I won't take this opportunity for granted. I plan on doing my cta at tuks cause it's way closer to home than wits. I'm literally an imposter at wits cause I'm a tukkie, unisan and wits now😂😂😂
I always tell people to come to UJ for engineering because of the high pass rate and graduation rate...please come to UJ...we have B.Eng mechanical, B.Eng civil, and B.Eng electrical and electronics engineering which are pretty much doable in 4 years compared to abusive UP, Wits, UKZN, UCT, stellies, and North west University.
@@SabeloMojapelo lol...no, the quality of setting papers is better, thats why they are number 1 as a better university for engineering...UJ has the highest passrate by far...And many people finish on time at UJ (4 Years) compared to UP.
I''m a 1st year civil engineering student in UP. Please don't come here young ones . You'll die young. Rather go to UJ or even Wits or anywhere except TUKS!!!!!!!!!!! DONT SAY I DIDNT WARN YOU!!!

I always tell them because most of the modules in engineering are continuous module which is a good thing lenna I'm happy to do engineering at UJ

"Just because you think you are good in Chemistry..."
I really felt that😢😢😂
