WAAM-made parts almost always require post machining, as they need to fit something somewhere. A long time ago (as in almost 10 years ago) I saw a video of a part that didn't need machining, but the entire work cell was inside a gas chamber. Though in more recent videos, even with in a chamber post machining is required. I haven't studied the subject in a long time, so I don't remember the specifics.
