We live in US and my son was born here. U know the kids start to do "show n tell" weekly since they are in kindergarten. People here are trained to present and share their story / point of view at a very young age.

Thank you for sharing. For your observed items:
    1. My experience is a mix of what you see and other people mentioned, i.e. some go for lunch alone while some eat with a few teammates. Eating habits are diversified.
    2. Agreed..
    3. I believe that is a result of good education system, which makes confident and proactive people. While there can be geeks everywhere I haven't seen one in my company either.
    4. Similar experience. Without impacting goals, I am given much flexibility and autonomy within my role. We are lucky to have encountered a healthy company culture while micro-management exists elsewhere.
    5. This is another admirable local culture of respecting labour welfare. I have two experiences when my manager reminds me to take annual leave. And during my leaves, there were completely "no" disturbances from work.
    Take care and enjoy UK.

Indeed!! I guess the drinking culture will be the only thing that we all have similar experiences then 🤣🤣

Past migration of bringing in 8 Million foreigners during 20 years has been to the detriment of the native Brits. It has clogged up all our services which have been available free to the Legal Migrants on first arrival. Any skills that we have needed could have been achieved by foreigners coming here on fixed term contracts, and not coming here permanently as emigrants.
