I think your video is one of the most realistic sound from switch and keyboard typing that I ever watched. Thank you! Most of videos I did watched, they had higher Treble tone and not correct to imagine the true sound with switches combined to Keyboard kit.
Glad you found it helpful!
Thank you for this video, I’m buying my Rainy75 soon and love my Gateron Milky Yellow on my 3y/o Keychron K2. This made me excited for the coming upgrade, I love the creamy thocks!
Enjoy!
this sounds like rain falling on a roof its so good😭
Maybe that’s why it’s called the Rainy75! 😝
Oh no. Don't. Gateron milkies sound the same on everything.. Rainy comes with very nice hmx switches
Damn that sounds good
i need keycaps like this for my Aula F75
I’m pretty sure they are available somewhere on Amazon or AliExpress.
Gateron milky yellows hand lubed factory lubed or stock?
Factory lubed :)
sounded so good i had to buy one myself.
Your space button still stays the same, right?
I lubed the stabs
sweet creamy, just change same geteron milky yellow yesterday! thanks
Enjoy!
will it be more creamy with the fr4 plate instead
I doubt
Prelubed? Lubed? Or stock?
Prelubed
@@MechWhisper yay
what mod did you do in the "after"
Not mods, just swapped the switches
Should I compare it with the Gateron oil kings?
Yesss
Comparison with Gateron oil king:

yes
Hello! I am currently thinking about buying the pro version of these to see if I can make it sound creamier. I recently got the Pro model with the Kailh Snow Top Cocoa switches and they sound really nice, but I just wanna mess around with some other switches to see if I could maybe change the sound to something creamier.
Have you tried the cocoa switches? If so, do you think it would even be worth buying these to try them out? How do the Milky Yellows compare to the other stock switches for the Rainy75 (JWK and HMX)?
Milky yellows are great if you want something deeper sounding, and not too loud, you can probably use it even in office environment.
@@MechWhisper Have you ever tried the Gateron G Pro Yellow V3? If so, how do they compare to these?
Do you like the Milky Yellows more than JWK and HMX stock switches? Not sure which switch you got with yours, but are the Milky Yellows better feeling and sounding to you (in your opinion)?
Thanks for the reply by the way :)
Mine is coming in this Saturday I just might have to transfer my gateron black inks v2s from my 65%
😄
Do you have any idea about milky yellows pro? Is it the same sound profile with milky yellows? Im planning to change my stock to milky yellows pro. Tks
Yes they have the same sound profile, the pros are smoother
how to make a similar sound on leobo hi8? is it possible?
Yes, very soon you’ll hear it :)
Ah yes, the good ol´ milky yellows. Can you suggest any other switch that is as close as possible to the milkies but with a shorter travel distance?
You can try the WS Morandi, they have a shorter travel distance of 3.5mm and are quite available too.
Gateron Lunar Probes sound more similar to milky yellows IMO and have a travel of 3.6. Morandis are too pingy for me personally.
What's changed in before and after?
Just the switches :)
I got the milky yellows on my rainy yesterday, alongside some red samurai keycaps.
If I want to add a small amount of "clack" on impact, could the tape mod be a solution?
I like the creaminess but miss a small amount of satisfaction on key actuations. I imagine this satisfaction could be a small amount of high pitched sound/feel.
PS. lubing the gateron milky yellows yourself, is this recommended or waste of time?
You can try removing the layer of pe foam under the switches it should bring out some of the highs. For a clackier sound I would swap out the switches to something like the mmd princess linear which is creamy but not as muted as the Gateron milky yellows.
@@MechWhisper Thanks! Should MMD Princess Linear V3 be good?
frick...I gotta buy it
Let’s gooo
also got the milky yellows but for some reason it doesn’t fit into my rainy75 :( noticed that they were slightly wider than the violet switches but don’t know if that’s a problem
It should fit , check if the pins are aligned correctly
@@MechWhisper should they be the same size as the violet switches? I notice that they stick out more than the violets
@@bench.convos the size difference should be so small that it doesn’t matter, have you checked that your inserting it in the correct orientation? The two pins should be at the top.
@@MechWhisper Yes, I've oriented them exactly the same-it's really strange! the switch just won't fit for some reason... I think the gateron's width is affecting its ability to snap into place? unsure 🥲 thank you anyways!
Which keyboard kit to buy in a similar budget? Please advise, have I settled on leboge hi8 for now or can I turn my attention to other kits?
Highly recommend the Leobog Hi8 for its value and quality. Rainy75 is also good too but it comes prebuilt, it also has an external weight which the Hi8 does not have.
stock switches are violet or wob?
Violet
hi! did you have to lube the switches or they came already lubbed? amazing comparison! thanks :D
They come factory lubed!
@@MechWhisperhey how’s the smoothness for the switches?
Is this the Pro? Or Lite?
Lite
is it pro or lite on stock
Lite and stock, it’s basically the cheapest of all the options they offer
allthing stock bro?
Yes 👍🏻
