We must have met a few times Steven! We came over with our loco's a lot...Shame it closed, but the new site should be just as good when it's completed, they have a running line in operation which we have drove on...You must visit when they open up after this Covid.....Regards Chris.
Many thanks Graham! Evergreens have part of the new track down (this can be used) but a long way to completion.Plus lot's of money, so this Covid came at a very bad time for everybody....Things are looking better with some track opening from this weekend,so keep your fingers crossed. We don't want to add even more railways to this compilation....Best wishes Chris
That was a good enjoyable day, hopeful of many more at the new home for Evergreens :-) Good to see Rudi too, nice memory :-) ... oh and "thank you Tony"!!!
Another staring role Kay,I think that was your first drive of a steam loco? If so, that loco of Tony's was also Rosie's first drive as well...Yes brilliant day for us all,the guys still talk about it...Tracks are opening now, so keep your fingers crossed for a steam up very soon.
Not sure if Alan or Keith (with Tug shown on film) had let me drive theirs previous to this. Big thanks to them :-) oooh to tracks opening!!! All 'railway' people, of all gauges, are just 'itching' to be out on the tracks!!! Take care both and l hope it's not too long before able to see you again.
Another amazing video . Loved the looks of these railways shame they have gone. Hope your both doing well. I am slowly getting there from grieving but am ok stay safe and keep the great videos cominh
Hello again Peter we have still been around, you must have missed our other uploads...Mainly looking back compilations, some good old ones as well, plus the lockdown videos....Regards Chris
Thanks Al....I would love too, just need to sort a Scot out not many about,do you know anybody with a good one for sale? ...I would say that is the very first Stafford at Stickney,is that right?....Best wishes Chris
Hi J94....It is a shame that any of them closed..We enjoyed many trips over to Evergreens with our loco's, but now we can again at the new site when we get rid of this Covid.....Cheers Chris
Very interesting footage. Heard about the Markeaton Park issue, a bit of a shame. The Fenn Bell M.R. was quite an investment in infrastructure, let alone the railway, what happened there?
Fenn Bell was another sad tale, too many good idea's in such a small area, the pub, railway, zoo all attracting big crowds but with very little parking...We enjoyed our stay at this railway, they couldn't do enough for us.
I'm glad you have some film of Evergreens, my first club, lots of familiar faces.
